And, for once, the truth is starting to unfold. From The Washington Times:
Fear of offending Muslims or being insensitive to religion was likely a key factor to why Army supervisors missed signs that the suspect in the deadly Fort Hood shooting rampage was a Muslim extremist, according to national security experts.
Myself and numerous other bloggers knew, from the very beginning, that this was a major aspect of the US Army Major Nidal Hasan’s ability to carry out his November 5th attack, which resulted in 12 soldiers and 1 civilian dead.
The review concluded that the Army is ill-equipped to deal with “insider” threats. Mr. West and Mr. Clark said several Army officers appear to have been negligent in assessing Maj. Hasan in personnel reviews and other incidents during his career and likely will be punished.
We can’t be truthful to the public — we must keep our thoughts secret because, my, the horrors that would occur:
Adm. Vernon E. Clark, a former chief of naval operations and the investigation’s other co-leader, declined to answer when asked whether political correctness led to the Army security failures. He suggested that the matter is addressed in a secret annex to the report that he and Mr. West helped produce.
Even following 9/11, did Americans go on a wholesale shooting rampage with Arabs or perceived Muslims in our national sights? Did we create internment camps? No, we did not. I
found many sites bleeding about “profiling” or “driving while Arab.” There were isolated acts. But much fewer than, for example, blacks specifically targeting whites for violent acts.
The unaligned professionals know the difference:
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, a former military medical doctor, said political correctness is a major problem for the military and the government as a whole in dealing with Islamism.
“The culture in the military and the U.S. government is that you just don’t touch religion,” said Dr. Jasser, president of the Phoenix-based American Islamic Forum for Democracy. As a result, the military is ill-equipped to deal with the threat posed by radicalized Muslims, he said in an interview.
Steven Emerson, executive director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, said the military’s failure to understand the problem of radical Islamism is the reason the Fort Hood shootings were not prevented.
“The military is still mired in this murderous political correctness,” Mr. Emerson said, adding that religion, contrary to what Mr. West said, is “every part of the problem” in the shootings.
“Hassan’s jihadist beliefs were that infidels should be killed in the military,” Mr. Emerson said.
Mr. Emerson said the neglect of Islamist extremism “stands in sharp contrast to the military’s decision to weed out white supremacists a few years back at Fort Bragg by throwing out any serviceman who supported the Ku Klux Klan.”
This nation, ladies and gentlemen, I am telling you once again, continues to bend over for the elements that wish to do us harm — Islam. Yes, fine, flap on, I am biased, Islam is a religion of peace, love, understanding, it’s as wonderful or more so than Christianity, it’s a small percentile of persons who are causing trouble. I reiterate: Islam is as Islam does.
Keep turning a blind eye America; but first, take a small trip to a neighboring continent and see what’s occurring in Europe and the UK.

I sometimes think that the left hates America, and themselves, so much that they are intentionally self-destructing and trying to take us down with them. Self-hatred is the only er . . . rational . . explanation I can think of.
Never ever trust an arab.
Arabs practice lying so much, that they have developed it into an “art-form”.
One up-manship upon you is their credo.
Good officers will be drummed out of the service, as a result of the white wash. Its not enough that Hasan killed all those people, but even while in the hospital he is still bringing down good men. The military leader who came out with this are simply covering their asses and the butts of those above them. Sadly it will take more attacks for the reality of the danger of political correctness to take hold. As usual the progressives at the top turn a blind eye to this—Bush was no different, but then he too was a progressive.
I hate to say it, but mrchuck is correct. Living near Dearborn MI (largest population of Arabs in the USA) and having repaired computer equipment in the local gas stations years ago (they own a LOT of gas stations) I have found this to be the case most of the time. Truly, one does not want to say that ALL Arabs are this way, but many, many of them are. They have a thief culture where pulling something on the other party on a business transaction is looked upon as obligatory before the other guy does it to you first. “Do unto others before they do it to you first” is very much the order of the day. That being said, I think this guy was a lazy and bad doctor who “went postal”. His real agenda was that he was just crazy. That being said, the terrorists got to this guy via the web. We need to seriously think about censoring radical Islamic websites in my opinion, or expect more of this stuff to happen. We need Arabic speakers in the military but we need to be really careful who we select. If we don’t have them we’ll never get the intellegence we need.
Oh shoprat. You are one stupid shit. And MrChuck, you’re just another stupid rightard hater.
MrChuck has a point… I”ve sat in meetings with translators currently in the field in Iraq and they point blank say it’s ‘natural’ to lie to ANY outsider, including another Muslim if they don’t know them… sigh…
Shoprat: I myself have wondered the same thing, sir.
Mr Chuck: if in doubt, read the Koran.
Ron: I too fear you are correct; this backlash will affect those it should and those it rightly should not. I believe, as you, that we’ve not seen the end of this in terms of cause-and-effect.
Tim: I am slightly agape to read your writing of this However, what you write is entirely correct.
Bd: I was initially going to take down your comment but, as usual, what you write is amazingly revelatory. I hope you don’t have any women you treasure in your life under Islam, misogynists that they are.
Old NFO: and that’s why this Arab saying exists:
“I against my brother; my brother and I against my cousin; I, my brother, and my cousin against the stranger.”

BZ- I just call em like I see em. I worked around them daily for over ten years. Your saying is on the mark 110%. They will smile to your face while they steal you blind.
“Trust, but verify” 🙂
Tim: dude, if you ever wanna ski up I-80 in the Sierra Nevadas or want a tour of Sacramento, please, look me up. I really think we could tip some beers and amaze ourselves.

I’d rather be insulted by a non-entity like bd than by a person of relevance.
Islam is as Islam does.
The thing is, one of those you cite who is against political correctness, Zuhdi Jasser, describes himself as a “devout Muslim”. I believe it’s only a sizable MINORITY who poses a terror problem, with a bigger sizable minority of them who are dysfunctional, sympathizers, and culturally backward.
The vast majority, imo, just want to go about their lives and aren’t trying to dhimmify or subjugate anyone.
