First, CNN published this on their Twitter page.
Nancy Sinatra replied with this Tweet.
Second, CNN misled people with this story:
When, in fact, during the inauguration the crowd looked like this.
This is an enlargement of the photo to which CNN referred.
Do you want to know the facts? The photo above, showing fewer people, was taken early in the morning of the inauguration. The photo showing a packed mall was taken during the inauguration itself, a few hours later.
CNN is becoming the American Media Maggot version of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who could not open her mouth without confirming her serial liar status. Honest journalism is dead; CNN insists on hammering that point home roughly every day.
Let’s not stop there. I’d like to show you some of the Tweets sent out on Donald Trump’s inauguration day, starting with Bill Kristol, a Republican.
Bill Kristol finds it “depressing and vulgar” to hear a president say the words “America first”? Are you absolutely kidding me? Actively advocating for your country is now anathema to those who claim to be Republicans?
Until December of last year, Kristol was the Editor-In-Chief at The Weekly Standard, a Republican magazine. A Never Trumper from the outset, Kristol was responsible for convincing Evan McMullan of Utah to run for president as an Independent.
Let’s next look at the Tweet of Kurt Eichenwald, who writes for Vanity Fair, Newsweek and the New York Times.
A ridiculous argument as ISIS needs no further motivation to recruit, other than infidels exist in the world, and that Western countries exist as well. And, uh, Kurt, allow me to please improve your Tweets. I think you meant “smug” instead of “snug.” Of course, I don’t want to be putting words in your mouth. I’d rather you just look as silly as you are already, yes?
Caitlin Moran proves she’s obviously a public school graduate where spelling never counted.
Then there’s the mature, loving, understanding, tolerant and sensitive Tweet of Canadian Leftist Ashley Csanady, who felt compelled to add photographs of Barron Trump to emphasize her point. Hell, he’s a Trump kid so he makes great fodder for insult and ridicule.
But wait, it gets better. There’s nothing finer than accusing Barron Trump of being your next home-schooled mass shooter. Now that’s insightful.
This time our compassionate, understanding, tolerant and sensitive Leftist, Katie Rich, an employee of NBC, believes that libeling Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son is perfectly splendid because, after all, he’s Donald Trump’s son. Fair game.
Ashley and Katie, does that make you feel empowered, like you’re “big women,” by taking shots at Barron Trump, a 5th grader?
There were many, many more examples but I had to draw the line somewhere. Can you imagine what would have occurred had anyone done these same things to Sasha and Malia in their formative years?
I simply lack the words.
BZ
Agree leave the kids alone, they did not choose the role.
I wondered about the comparison photo – though, watching it live, the channel I was watching (not CNN) did pan back and you could see a fair amount of the white covering that had been put down to protect the grass.
Yes, I watched also. That was earlier in the morning. Later, during the event, the place was packed. CNN’s purpose was to make you think the inauguration was horribly under-attended.
BZ
Actually, go to http://www.wtop.com and you can see photos taken during both swearing ins. You can see that the Obama crowds are way bigger. Just saying.
But at end of the day it doesn’t matter, DJT is president, people can protest (it is their right) – people all over the world can protest. Doesn’t change the fact that he is president.
What I saw was a gutsy ten year old child coping with being thrust into the spotlight and handling it. I also saw him engaging with his father as they sat side by side in a free and trusting manner and the father engaging his son in an open and loving manner with no pretense.
To attack someone you hate by trying to use a their ten year old to hurt the parent is as loathsome a tactic as I can imagine.
Obama’s children were left alone, and that is proper. People can’t be equally considerate of Trump’s children? No, Leftists cannot. No shame. The kids can’t respond or fight back. How low, as an adult, must you be to act this way?
BZ
Remember, Obama was the “victim” President, and any personal attacks or slights toward Barack or Michelle would immediately result in labeling as a racist, let alone (unwarranted always) attacks on his kids.
With the Trumps, all gloves seem to be off, and though DJT can handle the heat as well as anyone, the leftists don’t appreciate their hypocrisy when attacking a 10 year old Boy (Barron) just because he comes from a family of winners.
It will take some time for the leftist loonies to loosen their grip on the double standard privilege they are so accustomed to wielding.
Let’s remember to take into account that the white covering they put down was new – it’d never been used before so to make any kind of comparison by referring to the amount of white you can see is invalid because there was NO white to be seen during Obama’s inauguration.
PBS has now issued a time lapse photo showing the crowds.
Look at the facts.
Right. PBS. That’s a bastion of unbiased reporting. Thank you.
BZ
It is time lapse photography. Come on BZ you are normally prepared to look at the facts. The turn out for Trump was smaller than for Obama – so what, it doesn’t matter. What does annoy me is that his press secretary is saying otherwise.
Hi, BZ…long time, no see! I’d talked about the coverage showing Trump’s crowd not as big and Ed posted your link. If those pix are correct, and it sure seems they are, I WISH someone would get the pix to FOX and have them expose CNN….. Or I wish Spicer had used those shots in his odd press conference as PROOF!
all the best, Z
Trouble is the time lapse shows a different story.
Really sad that the first press conference Spicer gave was spreading more false news. I disagree with Trump’s speech in front of the CIA memorial, I do not think that was the place to talk about ratings. Get down to work Mr President, this is not about ratings!
Oh my gosh John, he’s working. I believe it’s called multi-tasking.
BZ
I read somewhere that if Trump’s inauguration crowd was smaller, it’s because his supporters had to work. Maybe not the most original joke but still made me laugh. And these tweets reinforces my decision not to do twitter. h/t Ed for sending me here via his FB link.
Thanks and welcome aboard, JDB. I don’t think I’m going to be on Twitter much longer. Awaiting Gab.
BZ
I can’t take Twitter, but I’m on Gab and I don’t see it going anywhere.

I think it is amazing that Spicer’s first press conference was used to state and easily fact checked lie. It is such a shame that people are now happily saying “fake news” without looking to the facts.
