In truth, it was a hard-fought and close game. There were a number of times when I believed the game could go to either team.
But, finally, the Lombardi Trophy goes back to its home town.
The last time the Packers won the Super Bowl was during 1997 when they beat the New England Patriots, 35 to 21 — with Brett Favre at quarterback.
The last time the Steelers won the Super Bowl was 2009, with a 27 to 23 win against the Arizona Cardinals.
A tough game, but the best team indeed won.
Congratulations to Green Bay, the only non-profit, community-owned franchise in American professional sports major leagues!

That’s true! When I went on an extradition to Green Bay a few years ago, there was a game at Lambeau. The town was predominantly bereft of people; they were all at the game. I thought: great time for burglars. Poor cops.
It’s not like Green Bay has Al Davis or Jimmy Jones money. . .

I was rooting for the Packers, too..mostly because my Sis and her husband were at the Super Bowl rooting for the Packers 🙂 LUcky them, huh? Can’t wait to hear about it.
The National Anthem was a debacle… I did something I have NEVER done before, I MUTED the TV while that POS was howling like a dying banshee…
The only thing I can say about halftime is this: Fergie kept her top on…
The NFL ran a 2-bit show, they blew the seating plan, the whole thing was a train wreck…
But the game was OK…
TF, I would concur: the production screwed over, what, 400 ALREADY-PAID ticket-holders?? The halftime “entertainment” was nothing more than thug rap by people who mean nothing and can’t sing, and the anthem was proffered a half-hearted attempt another POS who cares not for her nation enough to learn the words.
It was the GAME that SAVED the Super Bowl because it was back-and-forth, well-played, not dirty, and actually FUN TO WATCH.
THAT is when a Super Bowl is popular.

It’s weird, in my estimation Pittsburgh went in one night from being the greatest all around football team, to number three, behind San Francisco and Green Bay.
