Not Islamic Terror?

If there is one thing conspicuous about the media coverage of the recent killings at Fort Hood in Texas, it’s that they and most every “official” channel have gone out of their way to purposely not link Islam or terrorism to the event. The White House concurs. The common thread is that “this has nothing to do with Islam.”

I should beg to differ.

It is now revealed, Friday, that the terrorist Major Nidal Malik shouted “Allahu Akbar!” — “God is great!” — before opening fire Thursday at the Ft Hood Soldier Readiness Processing Center where roughly 300 unarmed soldiers were lining up for eye tests and vaccines.

Am I the only one thinking that rather salient fact is something, with their history, the DEM/MSM purposely covered up yesterday?

Even now, after having murdered 12 persons on the scene (and another passing away in hospital) and wounding 31 others, it is discovered that Malik was a poor-performing psychiatrist at Walter Reed Hospital (his prior assignment) and:

At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

Evidence would indicate to me, at least, that this person may have had, shall we say, a passing interest in Islamism. Ahem.

FORT HOOD, Texas – The top commander at Fort Hood is crediting a civilian police officer for stopping the shooting rampage that killed 13 people at the Texas post (see: Active Shooters & Getting the Word Out — BZ).

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said Friday that Fort Hood police Sgt. Kimberly Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire Thursday afternoon. Cone said Munley shot the gunman four times despite being shot herself.

Officials said Munley was in stable condition.

Cone said, “It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer.”

Killeen, Texas, adjacent to Ft. Hood, suffered its own mass murder in 1991 when George Hennard killed 24 people at Luby’s Cafeteria. This incident is generally responsible for the revamped Texas carry laws.

It should be noted that Sgt. Munley (left, above) faced a military shooter who, unbeknownst to her at the time, carried a FN FiveseveN autopistol, loaded with 20-round mags of 5.7X28mm. The 5.7mm round is rather rare in the handgun world; not a commonly encountered calibre. It is a very high velocity handgun round said to have the capability to penetrate the military PASGT helmet and defeat most all Kevlar/composite vests, military and civilian.

Once again, good tactics, audacity and courage defeat those whose acts are craven and terroristic.

My sympathies to the families of the murdered, and my salute to Sgt. Munley and the other Ft Hood responders. Once again, Mr Obama is completely Tone Deaf and ignorant.

Malik wasn’t a religious terrorist, just as Timothy McVeigh wasn’t a religious terrorist.

    So much for the cousin’s claim that his now infamous cuz “didn’t even like to go to the target practice.”

    I watched Shep Smith and Kay Bailey Hutchison make fools of themselves yesterday. The shooter’s name was out from the AP, Reuters and ABC. Smith would not release it. Hutchison solemnly praised Smith for his responsible handling of the case.

    At one point, Smith said to Hutchison: I have the name of the shooter, Senator, and it reveals a lot, doesn’t it.” THEN a local radio reporter came on and said, well you don’t want to reveal the name, so I will not do so, but he was a Virginia man who converted to Islam.”

    So even though she was wrong, she gave away the story that everyone knew anyway.

    I notice that Obama asked us all not to “jump to conclusions-” Too bad he wasn’t wise enough to think that through when he accused the Cambridge police of being stupid.

  8. O.K. let’s see how hard this must be for the media to figure out: He went to the processing center where our men were headed to kick extremist Isalmists behinds and Hasan killed 12 of our men. Why? so they wouldn’t go and kill his Muslim brothers. If he were just plain nuts as the media says then he would have shot anyone and everyone that was there, not just those in the processing center. He yelled Allahu Akhbar before he struck, and he is a very faithful Muslim. What more do we need to call a spade a spade?
