UK Media Covers What US Media Won’t:

The UK Times Online states the obvious — apparently something too obvious for our own American Defeatist, Elitist Media (DEM) to grasp:

A COMEDIAN who had a walk-on part in the Rutles film spoof of the Beatles is poised to deliver a 60-seat super-majority to the Democrats in the Senate as President Barack Obama consolidates his grip on the levers of power.

Al Franken, 57, a satirist turned Democrat politician, is expected to be proclaimed the winner of the protracted race for the US Senate in Minnesota, in time to give Obama a free hand to appoint a Supreme Court replacement for retiring Justice David Souter without fear of Republican blocking tactics.

If Franken wins, Obama will hold an unassailable majority after Senator Arlen Specter’s sudden defection from the Republicans to the Democrats last week. A 60-seat majority would deprive the Republicans of the ability to scupper appointments and legislation by filibustering.

A commenter in the article summed it up nicely:

we can all laugh whilst we cry.

America, you are so about to reap what you’ve sown.

  1. Ya know, in the national election I pretty much slammed the RNC for running such a weak-assed, sad excuse of a candidate against what the loony left consider to be the most charismatic man to ever walk the face of this earth…

In the case of Minnesota voters, all I can say is, SHEER STUPIDITY!!

  2. Wait Fred, isn’t this the same state that elected the Wrestler as governor — ? Hey, at least Fornicalia’s had an actor before. . .

That Al Franken, what a SERVANT of the people he’s gonna be.

  3. BZ,
The most disturbing thing in this whole fiasco is the absolute love affair Americans have with celebrities. It’s crazy that an unproven guy like this is POTUS. Reagan may have been an actor, but he was a two-term governor of the most populous state in the union and he nearly upset Ford in 1976. No comparison.

  4. Al Franken! I wouldn’t want him in charge of our local dog pound!

BZ, we are already reaping what the lunatics in this country have sewn. It’s getting to where I’m afraid to turn on the news. Seems like every time I do there’s Obama! He simply can’t stay off television and it’s driving me bats. As for the MSM, if I want the news I have to pick and choose my way around the internet and hope I get at least a smidgen of truth. You sure wont find it on television. I’ve already given up on newspapers.

  5. How the F did he win. I could have sworn there was a time just after the election when he accepted the loss

  6. Yep, we will reap what we have sown. It is already starting. For me, the thing that really ticks me off is that even though the GOP lost big time DUE TO THE FACT THEY MOVED CENTER-LEFT.. They STILL don’t get it.

What is at stake here is 2010 and 2012. If we don’t take it back, then you will see a full force dictatorship in action and the things he will do will take 30-40 years to fix. I am not sure it can be fixed. We better go conservative with the timeless, Reagan conservatism again or our country is toast!

As Savage said.. I heard this on a commercial on the laura INgraham show.. He said we are all sitting here like a bunch of doofs not knowing what is going on while our country is being taken over by a dictatorship.
