A Single Barrel of Oil Hits $76 Today.

Oil Prices Climb Above $76 a Barrel After News of New Violence in Oil-Rich Nigeria

VIENNA, Austria (AP) — Oil prices rose Friday after news of new violence in southern Nigeria, where police said a Lebanese businessman was shot dead in his home in an apparent kidnapping attempt.

(By The Way: One barrel contains 42 gallons of crude oil. The total volume of products made from crude oil based origins is 48.43 gallons on average – 6.43 gallons greater than the original 42 gallons of crude oil. This represents a “processing gain” due to the additional other petroleum products such as alkylates are added to the refining process to create the final products.)

Sex Ed for Kindergarteners?

July 20, 2007 —
When Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama reaffirmed to Planned Parenthood this week that he believes elements of sex education should begin in kindergarten, Republican Mitt Romney saw an opening — and he pounced.

“I was governor four years,’ said Romney. “I never had one person coming to me and say, ‘You know what, governor, I’m concerned about something.’ What’s that? ‘I’m concerned about sex education. I’m concerned my kids aren’t learning enough about sex.’ I never heard that.”

Behind The Dubai Ports Deal

Ever wonder why? Bill Gertz explains:

According to Mr. Scarborough, the administration wanted the deal to go through because the UAE government had agreed to let the United States post agents inside its global port network who could report on world shipping.

Dubai Ports currently runs port facilities at key U.S. intelligence targets, including Venezuela, China, Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia.

“Dubai Ports, in essence, was going to become an agent of CIA,” Mr. Scarborough said in an interview. “The arrangement is helping us detect whether any kind of terror contraband was being moved around.”

  1. I read sometime ago that if Bakerfield California was a country, it would be the fifth largest oil producing country in the world. I will try to find that article.

I don’t have kids, never wanted any but if I did the school would not be teaching my kid’s anything about sex at least in kindergarten.

As far as our ports go, I don’t trust any Muslim, period.

  2. Seriously, kids these days grow up to fast as it is. When I was in kindergarten we learned how to finger paint and read and play. We did not learn why Heather has two mommies. Sicko’s.

  3. Ranando: that would be very interesting if you find that article. Agreed and agreed.

Jenn: SexEd in Kindergarten is beyond ridiculous and nothing more than Culture Shaping for the Left.

  4. Shop: we’re not allowed to drill off our coasts, we’re not allowed to tap our own oil sands around Montana and the region, we’re not allowed to drill in ANWR, we’re not allowed to build more refineries, we’re not allowed to build nuclear plants, we’re not allowed to build oil-fired plants, we’re not allowed to build propane-fired plants — and WHO is saying NO?

    ONLY THE LEFT.

What’s left? No power whatsoever? Going back to the 1700s? Or, as Spock once said to Kirk: “Stone knives and bearskins”?
