“I’ve made it to Arlington.”
God bless the American soldier.
There are no finer, more effective warriors who have sacrificed so much for the entire planet. These men are produced right here, in the United States of America.
Not women. Men. Men with courage, daring, history, bravado, innocence, naivete, survival, sacrifice and, ultimately, victory. One American soldier is worth an entire Congress of politicians.
Every nation on this earth owes debts of gratitude to American soldiers. No other nation has, before or since, stepped up for global protection.
Europe would have been lost. Australia would have been lost. Asia would have been conquered. The Middle East would have been conquered. South America would have been up for grabs. Russia and China would be dominant or dead.
And no other nation produces or so willingly sacrifices such a breed.
God bless the American soldier.

I could agree more BZ, Thanks for this post!
There are no finer, more effective warriors who have sacrificed so much for the entire planet.
So true.
And, yet, so many in this sorry world vilify America.
Gotta admit, it bothers me that you exempt women, who are now currently serving along side the men in the line of fire.
But, other than that…
Great post.

“not women”…amen to that. As a woman, I have to say I hate the very idea of women in the military except in desk jobs..I really do.
And yes, the BEST MEN were made here.
MADE IN AMERICA!
I hope you’re having a good day, BZ. God bless..xx
Thank you for the truest of commentary here.

Only eight percent of the general US population can claim veteran status, but about one-fifth of the homeless population are veterans. A huge percentage of our “fallen” vets are still alive but we don’t see them nor support them. where’s the honor, dignity and thanks…
The right drags them out on holidays as such to wrap themselves in their supposed patriotism and exploit them while the cow tow to the corporatists every other day of the year.
So, bd, I’m sure you see them in your everyday travels and what is it, ma’am, that YOU do to assist them, eh? As far as you’re concerned they’re fodder for Capitalists and to be nothing but Big Gov Discards.
Me? I see them every day and help them every day because, unlike others, I see them in the correctional venue. I see the results of PTSD as it manifests itself in their exploits which turn criminal. I’m actually able to help them here, where I work and then later when they get out. Because, oddly enough, that’s part of my JOB. What I get PAID for.
And so what do YOU do, indeed, besides trot out USELESS numbers which, when examined are total and complete BULLSHIT. NOT over 50% of the homeless are veterans. You keep believing that, just like you believe that building up debt eliminates debt.
I’m sure you also believe in Fairy Tales, the Easter Bunny and Mr Obama. They’re about equal in terms of efficacy.

Mr Chuck: thank you for your service. As I’m sure bd has served, as well.

Thanks for remembering BZ!
