Apparently Texas Representative Ron Paul, in a recent straw query at CPAC, polls currently as the Number One GOP presidential preference.

Yes, you know Conservatives: racists all. It’s just us white overlords trying to keep the black man down. Except that it is Leftists who typify West as “one of the most vulnerable Congressmen” in DC — ripe for immediate attack only 35 days into his term. And Leftists are definitely attacking. The greater the fear, I submit, the greater the attack. I said that with Palin, I say that with West.
The problem is: Lt Col Allen West knows and exemplifies dignity, honor and courage.
Ron Paul: NO.
Lt Col Allen West: YES.

I must admit, it certainly would be entertaining to see a conservative black man run against the President. I’ve watched Rep West for quite some time now and I hope he gets the exposure he deserves.
Not only does he have to battle the left/democrats, he’s got an uphill battle against the the snob/blue blood/rino republicans. I have a hard time visualizing people with the Rove/Frum mentality standing behind him….the same people who STILL think that Romney is presidential material!
I wished that he was on MY side of the state so, I could have voted for him AND Rubio.
With this and what Gov. Scott has proposed so far, it’s a great day to be a Floridian!!

An interesting proposition I believe…
We need a West/Bolton ticket in any order. I suspect if enough people let the good Lt Col. know we’d support him he’d announce his candidacy. BUT there’s an issue. The people of Florida put him in congress to represent them. They threw out a pure liberal asshat for him. I suspect that would be a hard pill to swallow for the folks in his district. The folks in his district need to push him to the WH.

I would vote for Allen West for POTUS — without any hesitation.
It’s a long way ’til we pull the lever, but I REALLY like what I see from LTC West so far. (Army pride speaking here, so ymmv.)
As we learn more about him I’ll want to hear what he intends to do to help entrepreneurs build a fire to get this economy back on track.
The other alternative with business cred we need not wonder about?

It’s still too early to choose the candidate but not too early to look for what we want. I see a few that look promising but none to commit to yet.
