Speaking of tea parties, I actually joined a chapter in an adjacent county for a while.
It was cool for a while then not so cool, for various reasons. Do I feel like my ethnicity was a factor to an extent? Likely with some people but not overall. There are assholes everywhere! It just so happened that it played out its usefulness to me so I stopped going.

I can’t get out much anymore due to the wife’s illness, but I do pound this old keyboard all day. Preaching to the choir for the most part, but nevertheless making that effort. Occasionally I see one of my old students and some tell me I made an impression on their lives. Don’t think I could hand that classroom thing again today, so I do this! I am definitely on board. I am an active Tea Party member and I do my best to educate my friends and family on what is going on in this nation.
I am so surprised how many church people don’t have a clue on what the Tea Party is, or about what our government is doing and what the liberal MSM isn’t reporting.
I don’t get it? How is it possible that they are clueless? I am worried about November.
Well You and I and a host of other “Rightwing extremists” have been calling this for a very long time…Now we have been vindicated. All the liberpukes that have called us, and those like us “paranoid” or “Closed minded” because we didn’t fall for the MSM’s slanted reporting are now in the light.
And what happens when you turn the light on? Cockroaches run…Or Yell “RACIST”…I’m thinking we will hear a lot more of the latter.
Journolist are part of the Distractocrat class. Plus the people in it should be brought up on antitrust charges for what they have done.
