NYT THURSDAY: Clinton’s advisers acknowledged it would be difficult to catch up in race for pledged delegates even if she succeeded in winning 3 states on which she is most pinning her hopes: Ohio and Texas in March and Pennsylvania in April. Dem party’s rules would be decided obstacle in efforts to catch up to Obama before voting phase of nominating process ends later in spring… Developing…
Plouffe: She can’t catch us
As we wrote last night, Obama has begun to make his own inevitablity case, and David Plouffe made it explicit on a conference call this morning, telling reporters that it’s now “next to impossible” for Clinton to surpass what he says is a 136-person lead among pledged delegates.”The only way she could do it is by winning most of the rest of the contests by 25 to 30 points,” he said. “Even the most creative math really does not get her, ever, back to even in terms of pledged delegates.”“This is not about votes — it’s about delegates,” Plouffe said.
The other half of this case, of course, is that superdelegates will and/or should follow the pledged delegates.
I never, ever expected an empty suit to beat a pantsuit full of bile. And since Sen. McCain is all about ‘Senate Collegiality’ he won’t go after either his opponents as that just might require some of that stuff… whats it called? OH!
*Politics*
Luckily air tends to make empty suits look a bit puffed up and as soon as something has to go into the suit, the air leaves. Expect more emptiness and vapidness to come until someone finally asks the Emperor’s clothes about where the Emperor got to…
We must admit, AJ, this presidential rotation has gone places very few people had ever anticipated. I, for one, simply made the very early assumption that it would be Hillary vs whomever the GOP shoved up erect.

I thought so too, BZ, but Obama has the Sheeple eating out of his hand, and he’s not even saying anything concrete, he’s just spewing rhetoric about change but spewing it without clarification. I’m far more concerned about what he’s not saying than what he’s saying.
Gayle, proving once again that’s all about style and not substance, noise and not content.

Obama needs to hire some private security.. because we all know what happens to people who don’t tow the Clinton line.
As a too young to vote youngster I volunteered for a campaign that was all about change and electing a “regular” guy into the presidency, and we all felt so good about working for change and dreamed about how things were going to be different from now on…. and they were, boy howdy things definately did change allright. thank you Jimmy Carter for showing me what liberalism and negativity are good for before I reached adulthood.
Jenn brings up an interesting point, what if Obama becomes overwhelingly depressed, forgets about his family, obsesses about hurting Queen Hillary’s feelings and grabs a gun and takes a walk in Fort Marcy park? stranger things have happened, eh?
Oh c’mon you guys, that Vince Foster stuff — I mean, the Clintons would NEVER do anything that wasn’t based in the firmest of positive ethics and moralities. They said so themselves; just ask them.
BZ
I half expect her to have one of her people assassinate Obama and blame it on the racist GOP, thus killing two birds with one stone.
I wish things weren’t so dismal on our side so I could enjoy the fireworks going on between the Dems. Although, I must admit seeing Hillary implode does bring some justice.
