California Exodus

Wow; it couldn’t happen to a more appropriate state.

Only months after a new state law effectively banned “mom” and “dad” from California schools, 600,000 students soon could be following them out the door because of what has been described as the “repudiation” of 2,000 years of Christian morality, according to leaders of a new campaign assembling education alternatives.

The campaign is called California Exodus and is being headed by Ron Gleason, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Yorba Linda, who said while the country excels in social, economic, scientific and political accomplishments, it “gets low grades on the education of its children.”

“SB 777 will result in reverse discrimination against students with religious and traditional family values. These students have lost their voice as the direct result of Gov. Schwarzenegger’s unbelievable decision. The terms ‘mom and dad’ or ‘husband and wife’ could promote discrimination against homosexuals if a same-sex couple is not also featured,” she said.

Karen England, chief of CRI, told WND that the law is not a list of banned words, including “mom” and “dad.” But she said the requirement is that the law bans discriminatory bias and the effect will be to ban such terminology.

“Having ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ promotes a discriminatory bias. You have to either get rid of ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ or include everything when talking about [parental issues],” she said. “They [promoters of sexual alternative lifestyles] do consider that discriminatory.”

This is one of those times I am so glad I didn’t have kids in this state.

And yes, the Thought Police and Speak Police aren’t just around the corner; they’re present in California. Thanks, Arnie.

  1. Oh. My. God.
I thought at my age nothing could shock me anymore.
Normally a live/let live person, but dammit, if homosexuals want war, fine.
By the way, I’m offended that the word *gay* has been claimed as sexual choice. I think I might start using it the way it was intended…as in “I’ll have a gay ol time opening up a can of whoop ass on deviants”

  2. Jo, how about, “We’ll have a gay ol’ time opening up a can of whoop-ass on the faggots”?? LMAO… And to think, some folks embrace a few queers as ‘conservatives’, and there is nothing further from conservatism than queers…

And BZ, you know as well as I do, there are people in this nation, hell, a couple of em post comments HERE, they accept the faggots and some folks try and convince us all that being queer is ‘normal’…

If being a faggot is ‘normal’, I’ll remain just as I am, an abnormal Texas redneck…

  3. From the depths of abnormal Arizona, this justifies using a lot of dynamite at the state line, just to see if California WILL fall off.

BZ, I’ll give you and some others ample warning before I light the fuse.

  4. BZ,
This will effect the rest of the states. The curriculum that they are changing over to pro-homosexual is going to be bought by the rest of the schools including ours. They get their curriculum from California and they aren’t going to spend more money to get it elsewhere.

Of course, we are considering public for next year due to the high cost of private combined with having an autistic child who is not ready for private or homeschool, and we have learned that homeschooling doesn’t fit our family. So, all we have left is public. If we had vouchers or a flat tax and were able to keep more of our money this wouldn’t be an issue.

  5. I love your blog and agree with almost everything and you are a brilliant writer. But you couldn’t be more wrong about allowing and respecting Gods word in law and conduct. As the Bible explains that those that haven’t put there faith in the Lord and therefore(iknow it causes you to cringe and that makes all the more believable)eyes are closed to these things. I was most of my life saying things just like you are. But when God opens the eyes of his followers, then the wisdom of Gods word rings clear. Deny it all you want, most of our countries founders paryedd before making government decisions and were christians themselves. When we had a country that spent alot more time on their knees that they do today,we won wars, and was generally blessed for many years. As the sixties came bringing revolution and direct disrespect for all things biblical, then well if you can’t see what that relationship is,then I can’t articulate something as profound as all powerful as God almighty.still on your side though, steve
