Hypocrisy?

Christie's OutrageLet’s see; no one died in the traffic jam.  People had to wait in their air-conditioned and heated vehicles.  How terribly heinous.

On the other hand, there is apparently no pettiness in “what difference does it make,” the lies of Mr Obama or the governmental closure of monuments, parks, and pull-off areas for photographs on state property of federal points of interest.

It’s Christie, so it must be bad.  Obama = good, no matter what he does.

18-year old Socialist tried to kill his debate teacher

What the American Media Maggots haven’t covered, from Australia’s News.com (zounds, another non-American media source):

A TEENAGER who may have had a grudge against a teacher opened fire with a shotgun at a Colorado high school, wounding two students before killing himself.

Quick-thinking students alerted the targeted teacher, who quickly left the building.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson identified the shooter on Friday night as 18-year-old Karl Halverson Pierson.

The shooter entered Arapahoe High School armed with a shotgun and looking for a teacher he identified by name, Sheriff Robinson said.

“(The teacher) knew he was the target and he left that school in an effort to try to encourage the shooter to also leave the school,” the sheriff said. “That was a very wise tactical decision.”

Yes, the debate team leader.

Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, described him as a very opinionated Socialist.

A “very opinionated Socialist.”  I suppose so.

“He was exuberant I guess,” Conrad told The Denver Post.

“A lot of people picked on him, but it didn’t seem to bother him.”

Carl Schmidt and Brendon Mendelson, both seniors at Arapahoe High, said he had political views that were “outside the mainstream”.

Schmidt said the shooter “was an outspoken kid about what he believed and a good political thinker.”

GatewayPundit writes:

In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith who through his invisible hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as “Keynesian.”

“…I was wondering to all the neoclassicals and neoliberals, why isn’t the market correcting itself?” he wrote. “If the invisible hand is so strong, shouldn’t it be able to overpower regulations?”

Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing “you republicans are so cute” and posting an image that reads: “The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?”

A loving little Socialist — clearly, quite intelligent — who defeated his own views by embracing the very guns Socialists eschew and aimed for a teacher whose beliefs departed from his.

And that’s the Understanding Socialist Way, is it not?

Or was he a young man destined to perish due to, I posit, a corruptive culture rife with video games, gangsta rap, raised by a single mother, unfamiliar with mortality and who believed the RESET button was just a push away, pillowed with a continuous flow of hot and warm running Esteem, as well as — perchance — a few shots of Ritalin, Lithium, Prozac and others?

Just asking.

Bottom line: I am glad the young girl he shot has not perished, and I am very glad that his cerebellum was splayed with great velocity upon the indifferent walls and cold tiled floor of his school.

P.S.
Final questions: what is it with Colorado, a rather liberal state, regarding Columbine, the Aurora movie theater and now Arapahoe High School — killers with Leftist bents?

And why is it that the bank of actual or wish-to-be mass shooters are those with Leftist bents — including Norwegian Anders Brevik?

Further: talking like a woman

For MenBuilding on my Thursday post, I provide this now from BreakPoint.org:

Talking Like a Woman

by Kim Moreland

Blurring of lines between the sexes is having an effect on some men. Scientists from the University of California have found that some men are talking like women.

I wonder if this problem is creeping up because so many boys are being raised by a single parent–namely, a mother.

And the very first comment?

Comments:

Whatever the research says, I’m very annoyed by people who make every declarative sentence sound like a question? And right or wrong, I do subtract some credibility from people who do that? For example, I’ve heard so-called experts being interviewed on radio and TV and talking like that, and I find myself being dismissive? They might be the best experts in their fields, but to me, they undercut all of that by talking that way? People who do that should be made to look at a transcript of the things they say, including proper punctuation when they sound like they are asking a question? That might show them how absurd their speech is and how aggravating it is to have to listen to them? Just saying?

A final observation:

These are the same men who, later, will be second-guessed by women as to why they won’t make decisions, why they won’t open doors, and why they don’t seem to act like men at all.

Real women want real men.  Not women camouflaged as men.

Simple as that.
