Justice Antonin Scalia’s words: gun control is not “reasonable”

This is Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (who passed away in 2016 at the age of 79), in a 2012 interview on the show “Uncommon Knowledge,” speaking about the role of the Second Amendment and the Heller decision.

This is again another illustration of positive vs negative rights. The government is restrained by the US Constitution. It limits the power of government and favors the rights of the people which are inherently bestowed upon the people by God, and not by government.

  1. Bestowed upon by a god? You truly believe that a god decided that US citizens should have guns? I suppose the same god decided that alcohol should be poribited and then changed his mind?

  2. The Constitution was created to put limits on government, not on the individual. The founders DID NOT want a repeat of what was going on in Europe with the monarchs…

  3. All I can say to the left should they ever regain power is “Come and Take It”. Lets see how many of you Democrat/leftist fools are willing to die for Communism/ Marxism. Islam and the like. We patriots will show you what reasonable is all about.
