Obama: Free The Lockerbie Bomber

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be “far preferable” to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.

Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahi was freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama’s claim last week that all Americans were “surprised, disappointed and angry” to learn of Megrahi’s release.

Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as “half-hearted” and a sign it would be accepted.

This is a “compassionate” release. Except that 259 people died on the aircraft, and 11 died on the ground. Of those persons in Pan Am 103, 190 were American citizens.
Mr Obama pisses on the deaths of those sovereign citizens. They mean nothing to him.
Here is how you can easily adjudge any decision to be made by Mr Obama:

Choose the pro-American or pro-logical path.

Mr Obama will make the precise opposite decision.

Giving Libya a ‘thumbs up’, using BP as an excuse to end off-shore drilling, funding Brazil to DO off-shore drilling, not taking the fight to Pakistan’s ISI, and finding out that every promise made on the campaign trail has an expiration date and that he only does things to get more power for the Executive branch.

    How very… Nixonian. And we have using one part of the federal government to go after another, taking tea with tyrants, getting our allies PO’d at us, demeaning anyone with a job or who makes money or who invests in our economy…

    Actually, he is making Nixon look great in comparison. No doubt he will ‘get peace’ that will mean millions dead who have come to think our word meant something overseas.

    Insulting families of dead Americans by working to get their killers released? All in a days work for Captain Kickass.

  7. I am not surprised at all by this. After all, Obama seems to be very fond of Muslim terrorists.

    The man has absolutely no compassion or even cares for the people that died or for the families who have suffered the trauma of losing loved ones who were brutally murdered.

    Quite frankly, Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, should have been executed in prison.

    Letitia: and that’s part of his problem. Though he claims “poor” his upbringing has been, essentially, anything but. Even as a community organizer and then a fresh senator, Michelle was making $300K/yr with a hospital.
