ObamaKare Passes the House

ObamaKare passed the House, in the dark of night, on a Saturday — not during the week, not in the light of day.

Appropriate, don’t you think?

It passed 220 to 215 — a five vote difference.

Pelosi is beside herself with glee.

From AP:

At its core, the measure would create a federally regulated marketplace where consumers could shop for coverage. In the bill’s most controversial provision, the government would sell insurance, although the Congressional Budget Office forecasts that premiums for it would be more expensive than for policies sold by private companies.

The bill drew the votes of 219 Democrats and Rep. Joseph Cao, a first-term Republican who holds an overwhelmingly Democratic seat in New Orleans. Opposed were 176 Republicans and 39 Democrats.

To pay for the expansion of coverage, the bill cuts Medicare’s projected spending by more than $400 billion over a decade. It also imposes a tax surcharge of 5.4 percent on income over $500,000 in the case of individuals and $1 million for families.

America, you have little idea what you’re about to get. It will be something that, essentially, cannot be taken back.

You’d best be closely examining WHO voted for this abortion in your area.

  1. He has Twitter and Facebook, I wonder if he got hammered hard there too? I know I sent him a Tweet, told him exactly what I thought of his useless RINO ass..

  2. Don’t trip BZ, the House just passed a bill that disallows abortion funding in the healthcare reform. I like that. I was hoping that the liberals and cons alike could come to a consensus that government funded abortions are a bad idea. At least some people have common decency in the world:)

  3. The left does what it wants. What the Constitution says, what the law says, what the people want and what the left themselves publicly say are all irrelevant.
