A Mexican invasion onto sovereign American soil where US property is taken by force?
TexasFred first reported here.
You can see the stories here, here and — the story first “broken” here.
And this, oddly enough, from the Los Angeles Examiner.
IF the incident unfolds as truthful and verified (it is now, as of this writing, 2230 hrs., Saturday the 24th), then some might interpret this action as warlike in nature. Due to the potential ramifications, I could see an agreed-upon MSM freeze whilst the federal government, directly from DC, considers its options.
Because, if this is verified and the fact patterns are correct and, moreover, any Americans are injured in any way — at minimum amnesty is dead and, at the worst, the anger of US citizens could truly escape.
As I conclude this post, no action on Drudge or Fox or WSJ. A hoax? Not impossible. But consider the questions posed here regarding alleged statements made by Laredo PD.

I’ve had a running debate with TexasFred and Robert over at American and Proud. Robert believes that it is a leftist hoax. Sort of a gotcha post to get the right leaning blogs to go off on it.
I don’t know. It could be hysteria from the violence that is going on just south of laredo, or it could be true. So far, Michelle Malkin is getting a no go from the police department. We’re getting diametrically opposed reporting on the stance taken by the police and county down there.
So, for now, there’s really no way to verify or to debunk.
Texas keeps talking secession. I have my Texas birth certificate, I’ll move back. Then “adios” to the Obamatrons.
Absolutely incredible, BZ. Of course, Obozo will have to assemble several integrated committees to study the problem before taking (no) action…
Well, if this story is indeed true, then we have a war going on — declared or not.
It will be interesting to see what the ‘truth’ is… Standing by for updates!
I agree with your assertions as to reaction, going to research this more myself.
Nice blog by the way.
Greywolfe: it could go either way. But if the “story” isn’t out by the end of today, I suspect it’s simply a hoax, planted.
Bipolar Diva: thanks for visiting and commenting once again. Yes, if it turns to be true. . .
Tom: yes, Obaka will have to, as I’ve written before, both be “concerned” about and “monitor” the situation.
AOW: you ARE correct. Period.
NFO: if this doesn’t go “viral” by the end of today, it’s not valid.
Christopher: first, thank you kindly for finding the site, for taking the time to visit and for commenting. Please return sir. And yes, another reason you have to, in the Blogosphere, be your own little research station — unlike American “journalistas.”

1. The EXAMINER is NOT a NEWS source, it’s a collection of folks that are trying to get THEIR views out there…
2. NO SOURCE has this post except a few bloggers and forums, a lot of blogs are posting it, and citing The Cypress as Gods Word of invasion, but it’s BULLSHIT…
So far, Texas DPS CID has NO news of this, NO verification, and I would think that if we were at war, Texas DPS would be in the loop..
It’s a *LOOK AT ME* thing by some fucknut in San Diego and this dumbshit Digger at DiggersRealm…
Still no action on media sites. Hoax time.
BZ
Some of us called BULL SHIT on it last night…
I am astounded by the gullibility of the blog world, folks that FALL for this stuff and never verify…
Idiots…
I don’t KNOW for a fact this is a leftist plant. But here is my concern:
The liberal bloggers are meeting in vegas, the same day this came out, the liberal bloggers did a “Mock Paper check” of European looking people entering the convention. Immigration was a talking point the same day the story showed up. Many of the attendees were wearing mock border patrol uniforms….
All of the sudden “Ranches are taken over by Mexican drug cartels”…
My point is the timing is questionable and the story doesn’t jive with facts yet.
Friends of ALIPAC, bloggers, leaders, and members of the media,
As the primary focal point of information flows regarding the borders and illegal immigration, ALIPAC has both released astounding information to the public that was verified and we have stopped stories that were fakes.
Many of you will remember the fake Shawna Ford photos, and some other false stories and rumors that ALIPAC took steps to quell.
Today, we are issuing an advisory that the story being circulated on many blogs titled “Mexican Cartels Invade Texas” or “LOS ZETAS TAKES OVER TEXAS RANCHES” that was written by blogger Dan Amato aka Digger is unconfirmed. In fact, it is starting to look like it is completely false.
While we will hold the door open for the possibility there’s some fire with this smoke, the story claims that the paramilitary drug and alien importing gang Los Zetas had invaded our side of the border and taken over several ranches in the US thus sending the American occupants running for their lives.
In the past, materials from Dan Amato were welcome at ALIPAC, but his materials are no longer allowed in our archives after we observed Digger writing and attempting to publicize false information on multiple occasions.
The current story he has circulated has not been confirmed using any of the standards or practices we would use, or any professional would use, to verify before releasing such claims.
Claiming that military grade forces have actually seized US territory is not a matter that should be treated lightly. The threat of that happening is very real and the intense and costly reaction to such an incident is nothing to take chances with. Dan Amato took a lot of chances and ran a story that was just a rumor.
Now we have reports from local law enforcement, local media, and citizens who live in the area Digger claims is under Los Zeta occupation and they all say there’s nothing like that happening in the area.
While ALIPAC has documented, and fought against, many legitimate media blackouts on stories like these, we are not seeing the usual patterns that we have experienced before around this story. This coupled with the fact that Digger of Digger’s Realm BLOG acted on complete hearsay from a lone second hand source might indicate that a media blackout is not the true problem.
We will advise everyone, if this story changes or actual verification or evidence surfaces.
Until then we are advising everyone not to post or circulate the unverified claims by Digger that Los Zetas has taken over ranches in Texas.
Furthermore, no new materials by Dan Amato or Digger’s Realm are allowed in ALIPAC’s archives because those materials do not meet our quality standards and we have a big problem with groups or individuals who make sensational claims without proper verification and confirmation that our readers and activists would expect.

Hoax or not… this shows me on thing – I don’t trust the media. At all.
Now what?

TF: thanks for all that.
cj: easy. Read and be skeptical.

We tried to tell you he had no experience and only talked purdy to razzle dazzle the lemmings, but you voted for him anyway.
Well, )0(, many Americans voted for Obama, yes, and they were warned, yes, but most of those persons tend to read HuffPo ‘um so weiter,’ not so much around the BZ parts. Readers here generally tend to be more of the ‘realistisch’ variety.
