That would be a good start. With the Demo-rat controlled congress it will ever happen.
I would agree while serving. Life exemption from taxes from the spouse or (if unmarried) parents of soldier killed in action.
But perhaps installed NOW. . .

Great idea, BZ! Now all we have to do is get you into Congress. 🙂
That’s the best idea I’ve heard.
I wonder?? Can we make it retroactive?? You know?? For the REAL vets?? I wouldn’t wanna see FAKE vets or professional and paid writers getting it… Just sayin’…
It’s just a thought, dear readers. But just like anything done, things must be done well. If we are indeed looking for just that extra little inch this country needs in times of crisis, the FIRST class of persons deserving of our benevolence should be our WARRIOR class, the class that keeps us SAFE and SACRIFICES for the good of the whole.

Hey BZ drop me an email when you get a chance, I have got something for you.
This makes some economic sense as well. Veterans do not make up a huge portion of overall tax revenue. And anytime you put money in the hands of the earner, good things happen in the economy.
Think about how many folks opt not to serve for economic reasons. This idea cuts to the quick of that problem.
Let me take you one step farther. Offer federal guaranteed student loan debt relief. That would be a deal closer for plenty of 19-25 men who dropped out of school to support a family.
BWH: you should be an economist. Money, generally, that people save in various expenses and taxes get, remarkably, sent BACK INTO the economy in terms of purchases and savings and investments.
That would be a good start.

Imagine that.
