What You Get
This is what you get when you compromise with the Demorats.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Friday he will declare a “fiscal emergency” in January to give him and the Legislature more power to deal with the state’s growing deficit.
Schwarzenegger made the announcement Friday after meeting with lawmakers and interest groups this week to tell them California’s budget deficit is worse — far worse — than economists predicted just a few weeks ago.
The shortfall is not $10 billion, but more than $14 billion — a 40 percent jump that would put it in orbit with some of the state’s worst fiscal crisis, those who have met with him said.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected Fornicalia governor following the Gray Davis recall election of 2003 — and I’ll give credit where credit is due: the push for that recall election came primarily from talk show host Eric Hogue of then-KTKZ in Sacramento. Hogue, a former resident of Ohio, is now running for the 4th Assembly District in Placer County, Fornicalia — having put his thoughts, deeds and actions where his mouth was. I cannot but admire him for that. Quite frankly, I’d vote for him in a second.
Demorat Gov. Gray Davis, the emptiest of empty suits, literally drove Fornicalia into the ground. His policies screwed up our entire power production and distribution system, sent us millions and millions and millions of dollars into debt. The People were completely fed up.
Schwarzenegger ran on the premise that he would REDUCE our government, and that he would REDUCE our deficit. In his first year, right off the bat, he immediately repealed Fornicalia’s onerous and recent increase in the vehicle registration fee. He campaigned directly on this promise, and he delivered. He also prevented driver’s licenses from being handed out to illegal immigrants. His first smackdown came when some very powerful state unions began to oppose his various initiatives — including the HUGELY NEEDED re-drawing of legislative districts (which keeps Demorats IN POWER in this state).
Demorats acquired, through the potentially-affected unions involved, millions of dollars in order to defeat every last proposition Arnold managed to place on the very expensive ballot in 2005. Special interest groups spent hundreds of millions of dollars on gathering signatures and advertising for this election. And they essentially lied through their teeth on each and every ad. Arnold failed to strike back. He failed to counter their arguments. So with silence on his part, ignorant and naive voters shot down the entire special election. He would later comment that “no one could win if the opposition raised $160 million dollars to defeat you.”
As I wrote on this post in 2005, the result of these propositions going down was:
— Parents have no right to be notified before abortions can be performed on girls under 18; WRONG
— Teacher tenure will continue to be 2 instead of 5 years; WRONG
— Any Fornicalia union can continue to use members’ dues for any political purpose against the wish of the individual member, who has no say; WRONG
— There are no spending limits for the State of Fornicalia; we may continue to spend more than we receive in taxes from the taxpayers; WRONG
— We like our gerrymandered districts in Fornicalia; it keeps those currently in power and gosh, why should we brook those pesky incumbents? WRONG
— There should be no discount prescription drug program for the state (fine by me);
— There should be no incentives paid by the state to prescription drug companies (fine by me);
— We will not re-regulate our energy market (fine by me).

Following Arnold’s Slapdown, he brooded and decided that it was time to allow the Demorat side of him to emerge.
First order of business following his Come To Jesus: the appointment of a Demorat, Susan Kennedy, as his Chief of Staff (against advice of his GOP strategists). Schwarzenegger scrambled toward the political middle, determined to build a so-called “winning legacy” with only a short time to go until the next gubernatorial election.
And now, whilst appeasing the bulk of his Demorat critics at the behest of the Left-leaning “progressive” Fornicalia media, Gov. Schwarzenegger has achieved the very same thing former Governor Gray Davis achieved: the complete and utter tanking of the state’s budget.
The only difference now being that, as opposed to Davis, Schwarzenegger ADMITS IT.
The various Demorats, I’ll wager, have called him oh-so-discreetly to say: “Shut the fuck up. Don’t air our dirty laundry in public.”
Which tells me: there is still a shred of decency left in Arnold. Not much. But a bit.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY:
When you lie down with snakes, you will get bitten.
Let this be a lesson to ALL of us: when we compromise our Conservative Principles, past and current history explains: nothing good will happen.
As far as I am concerned, it is True Conservatives vs. RINOs, the GOP and the Demorat party — which encompasses “progressives,” Leftists, Socialists.

Hacking & Slashing on Hillary
Drugs in kindergarten? Old news, eh, but another in a series of attacks by the H. Clinton Machine.
This week:
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A top campaign adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton resigned Thursday, a day after suggesting Democrats should be wary of nominating Barack Obama because his teenage drug use could make it hard for him to win the presidency.
Old news, old news, ho-hum.
Why is it that Hillary appears to be receding? (“Wait, wait, I can answer that,” many school children respond.)
- First: because Hillary is not Bill;
- Second: Bill was likeable and had a certain charm and karma;
- Third: Bill could turn his attention to you for but a moment and make you feel as if you were the only person in the room;
- Fourth: WJC, in truth, isn’t nearly as Left as his wife;
- Fifth: because the electorate (even to a degree, Demorats) seem to have a semblance of actual perception;
- Sixth: because she shot her campaign out early;
- Seventh: because her voice grates on most listeners not unlike nails on a school chalkboard (don’t laugh, I know this to be true having asked numerous persons!);
- Eighth: she preternaturally exhibits all the cuddly warmth of a Pecos scorpion;
- Ninth: she and her campaign are as spontaneous as a NASA shuttle launch;
- Tenth: she is Insufficiently Left for the New Moonbat Left.
Hillary Clinton is no longer the Darling Of The Hard Left. And consider this for a moment, if you will: in order to acquire her senator seat, she had to find the most blue state available in order to make her bones.
The Demorats are already finger-pointing for all their failures:
When Democrats took control of Congress in January, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) pledged to jointly push an ambitious agenda to counter 12 years of Republican control.
Now, as Congress struggles to adjourn for Christmas, relations between House Democrats and their colleagues in the Senate have devolved into finger-pointing.
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) accuses Senate Democratic leaders of developing “Stockholm syndrome,” showing sympathy to their Republican captors by caving in on legislation to provide middle-class tax cuts paid for with tax increases on the super-rich, tying war funding to troop withdrawal timelines, and mandating renewable energy quotas. If Republicans want to filibuster a bill, Rangel said, Reid should keep the bill on the Senate floor and force the Republicans to talk it to death.
Reid, in turn, has taken to the Senate floor to criticize what he called the speaker’s “iron hand” style of governance.
The Demorats, according to the Wall Street Journal, are in gridlock.
And despite the GOP being in complete and total disarray, and led by an absolute dithering idiot in terms of President Bush, the Demorats have “caved” on spending:
Senate and House Democrats backed down Wednesday from a spending showdown with President Bush.
The Democrats’ capitulation Wednesday on the total domestic spending level is the latest instance of Bush prevailing on a major policy showdown. Bush and his Senate Republican allies have repeatedly beat back efforts by Democrats to place restrictions on funding for the war in Iraq as well as Democratic attempts to expand funding of children’s health insurance by $35 billion.
If you think the GOP is in bad shape, you oughta check out the Demorats.

Pope Benedict’s Warming
You can place Pope Benedict XVI in the category of a Global Warming skeptic:
The leader of more than a billion Roman Catholics suggested that fears over man-made emissions melting the ice caps and causing a wave of unprecedented disasters were nothing more than scare-mongering.
The German-born Pontiff said that while some concerns may be valid it was vital that the international community based its policies on science rather than the dogma of the environmentalist movement.
Of course, the Pope was immediately reviled for daring to suggest that facts somehow should manage to prevail over emotions, breast-beating and scare tactics. Wonkette said:
Pope Benedict XVI has decided to stick his little Nazi head directly up Al Gore’s peaceful ass by calling global warming fears nothing but “scare-mongering.”
Some of the more printable comments on this statement include:
- He is just worried about that tax cut for no children thing. Needs more children to feast on.
- Isn’t the Catholic Church, and all organized religion in general, based on dubious ideology??
- You son of a bitch, stab your crucifix into the souls of humanity just one more time. Come on, do it… it’ll be like the good old days when you were marching up and down the streets wearing your swastikas.
- …I hate sharing this planet with these azzholes, don’t you?
The comments went on and on. Did the comments deal with facts, with studies, with statistics, with science?
No. The responses immediately fell to personal and religious attacks.
Because, you see, that’s all The Left possesses.
Isn’t it odd that it’s Open Season on Western Religions (Christianity) and the Catholic Church (specifically) whilst The Left insists we kiss the ass of Islam and prosyletize for Islam in our schools and society.

Three Interesting Points
First:
A slap in the face to Hillary — which is perhaps why she ain’t The Beloved One as she’s so regimented. Don’t you wonder what kind of conversations may occur between Bill & Hill over the phone (considering they likely haven’t slept together since 1998)?
From The NY Times:
The poll found that former President Bill Clinton could be an effective campaign weapon for his wife. Forty-four percent of Democrats said Mr. Clinton’s involvement would make them more likely to support Mrs. Clinton.
That equates to this: almost half of those favoring Hillary are doing so because they like Bill. Check it out: I’m not saying she’s hard, but there are stories of people being able to roller skate over her face. This just in: “According to the latest WMUR/CNN poll, Hillary Clinton’s 20-point lead has vanished. She now has 31 percent support, with Barack Obama in a statistical tie at 30 percent. John Edwards is third with 16 percent, and Bill Richardson has slipped slightly to 7 percent.”

From that same NY Times poll:
Three weeks before the Iowa caucuses, Republicans voters across the country appear uninspired by their field of presidential candidates, with a vast majority saying they have not made a final decision about who to support, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll.
That would be generally true of myself. I have not yet committed completely to any one candidate. There are elements of some that I favor. I suspect I am not alone. I suspect that many persons lie to pollsters. I suspect that the bulk of the electorate, on both sides of the aisle, are not yet fundamentally committed to one candidate — to the point where they are convinced they cannot be swayed to another.
Third:
PRINCETON, NJ — A new Gallup Poll, conducted Dec. 6-9, finds 37% of Americans approving of the job George W. Bush is doing as president, an improvement from his recent scores in the low 30s. Meanwhile, 22% of Americans approve of Congress, essentially unchanged from last month. Both Bush’s and Congress’ ratings remain low by historical standards.
Bush’s “ratings” are slightly rising — up to 37% from 31% in November. The “surge” is why. But why are Congressional ratings continuing to plummet? Could it have something to do with PELOSI and REID, who PROMISED to make this session of Congress THE most ethical in the entire history of the United States?
