Pushing the envelope: Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 – wild in the streets of LA

The human being has always pushed the envelope into and beyond the realms of danger. This is one in a continuing series of posts displaying how restless Man is with the mundane and how he purposely crosses the threshold into danger willingly — and sometimes unwillingly.

If you enjoyed Ken Block’s prior run through San Francisco, you’ll also enjoy:

Wonderful stuff, eh wot?

Nice trubute by LAPD of OJ’s low-speed pursuit.

Peaceful New Black Panther members harassed by FBI

From the NewYorkPost.com:

FBI arrests 2 New Black Panther members in Ferguson bomb plot

by Reuters

FERGUSON Mo. – Two men suspected of buying explosives they planned to detonate during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, once a grand jury decides the Michael Brown case, were arrested on Friday and charged with federal firearms offenses, a law enforcement official told Reuters.

Word of the arrests, reported by a number of media outlets Friday, came ahead of the grand jury’s widely anticipated decision on whether the white police officer who fatally shot Brown, an unarmed black teenager, should be indicted on criminal charges.

Civil rights attorneys, who have flooded the region surrounding Ferguson literally by the hundreds, are present specifically for the purpose of filing suits against local officers involved in whatever disturbances may result following the grand jury announcement.  Good for them.

The FBI is obviously making a rather large mistake by thinking these two individuals, misunderstood, were truly going to attempt to harm persons or officers in or near Ferguson.

That can’t be.  Blacks aren’t racist and blacks aren’t violent.  And they certainly wouldn’t attempt to fan the flames of unrest in an area packed with easily inflamed tinder.  That is racist thinking.

Holder: pissed that MO Goveror Nixon activated Nat’l Guard for Ferguson

Once again, Mr Holder thinking like a racist instead of someone concerned with the personal welfare and protection of citizens.

From the WashingtonPost.com:

Holder frustrated with Mo. governor over actions before Ferguson grand jury decision

by Sari Horwitz and Wesley Lowrey

President Obama and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., in separate media messages Friday, urged protesters in Ferguson, Mo., to avoid violence as the nation awaits a grand jury’s decision in the Michael Brown case.

Holder also expressed concerns privately about Gov. Jay Nixon’s decision this week to declare a state of emergency at a news conference and activate the National Guard. The grand jury decision in the Ferguson shooting is expected to be announced in the next few days.

A top aide to Holder called the governor’s office earlier this week to express Holder’s displeasure and “frustration,” according to a Justice Department official.

“Instead of de-escalating the situation, the governor escalated it,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the subject. “He sent the wrong message. The tone of the press conference was counterproductive.”

Meaning: it’s best to play with and risk the safety and security of persons in an area that has promised the nation to cork off by inadequately preparing for protests and riots.

What do you think would be said about Governor Nixon if he hadn’t prepared and rioters turned Ferguson into a smoking cinder with injuries and perhaps even a death?

Sheriffs across the nation castigate Obama for his amnesty orders

Which is what Sheriff Scott Jones said.

From MRCTV.org:

Sheriffs: Obama Amnesty Is ‘Destruction of Our Democracy,’ ‘Gaping Hole’ for Terrorists

by Craig Bannister

Sheriffs from Maryland to Massachusetts warned of the extreme danger of Pres. Obama’s plan to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in the U.S.

Speaking out on Monday, they said amnesty would spell the beginning of the end of democracy in America and would embolden both terrorists and violent criminals.

Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, Frederick County, Maryland:

“In my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, every county in America will become a border county. This is absolutely going to worsen the crisis.

What we’re going to see is not only the cost to healthcare, social programs, and education, but the increase in criminals coming into our country, you’re going to see increases in crime, infiltration from transnational gangs, the drug trade and human tracking.”

Sheriff Paul Babeu, Pinal County, Arizona:

“The law applies to you and I as citizens, and yet it appears there is no law when it comes to illegals. The message the President’s action will send is this: if you can get to the border, you’re home free. It completely undermines the rule of law and makes the job of every law enforcement officer – which is already difficult – impossible.

We already have our hands full because the border is not secure: imagine what the situation will look like when the President gives executive amnesty to those already here. It would unleash a tidal wave of illegal border crossings, overwhelming law enforcement. It will be open season for the cartels. Again: the border is not secure now – to give a presidential amnesty would be to make matters dramatically worse for our officers who are trying to do the job the President won’t.”

Not only will Mr Obama not do the job, he forbids law enforcement throughout the nation from doing their jobs as well.

This is a national disgrace that uses illegals cynically as puppets and threatens the sovereignty of the United States.
