Liberals starting to jump the capsizing Obama Ship of State?

Chuck Todd on MSNBC’s Morning Joe said:

“This poll is a disaster for the president.  You look at the presidency here: Lowest job rating, tied for the lowest; lowest on foreign policy. His administration is seen as less competent than the Bush administration, post-Katrina.  On the issue of do you believe he can still lead? A majority believe no. Essentially the public is saying your presidency is over.”

As the Cheneys wrote in the Wall Street Journal this week, “rarely has a US president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many.”

Are the rats starting to flee Obama’s sinking Ship of State?

We’ve lost the border, we’ve lost our sovereignty, we’ve lost the Rule of Law

Mexican LEOs at the BorderMexican law enforcement officers on the Mexican side of the border, April of 2014, photo taken from the American side.  Why are they hiding their faces?  See below.

When you lose your borders, you lose control over who enters your country, when, and for what reason.  You lose control over your right to determine your country’s future.  In essence, you lose your sovereignty.

And when you have a president and a DC administration that eschews laws already extant regarding your borders, for political reasons, you lose the Rule of Law.  When DC can pick and choose which of its laws to hold, you lose the Rule of Law.

Holding to law then becomes easier to eschew and disregard.

Why and how is our border porous, beyond the obvious means?  Please read this, from the WashingtonTimes.com:

Feds: Armed Mexican troops, police regularly jump border to cross into U.S.

by Stephen Dinan

More than 500 armed Mexican troops or police have strayed across the border into the U.S. over the past decade, according to numbers the Homeland Security Department provided to Congress on Tuesday that shed new light on how often the international boundary is violated by official agents.

The information comes even as the U.S. is trying to earn the release of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who has been held by Mexican authorities since the beginning of April, when he drove through an official port of entry into Mexico while carrying firearms.

“Strayed.”

You read it here.  Mexican Federales and military units regularly cross the border into the United States from Mexico — to the point where there are meetings to negotiate and defuse the situations.  To wit:

Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said in a letter to Rep. Duncan Hunter that such instanced, known as “incursions” are “infrequent” but happen often enough that Mexico and the U.S. have created special liaison units to help negotiate the situations.

Mr. Kerlikowske said there have been about 152 instances, involving a total of 525 armed Mexican military or law enforcement, who have been documented encroaching on the U.S. side of the border since Jan. 1, 2004.

At the point when we should be getting more serious about our borders, we are allowing them to leak like sieves and — further — we are corralling up those youngsters who are now entering illegally, putting them on conveyances and then dispersing them many miles AWAY from the US/Mexico border so that they may never be tracked and never be found, with the brain-glazingly ridiculous command to “go back from whence you came.”

Oh yes.  I’m sure they’ll get right on that.  Self-deportation.  That works so well.

Just one question: why are those persons bused further AWAY from the border itself?

This is absolute insanity.  I repeat: insanity.

If I were a USBP officer or an ICE officer with even ONE ounce of courage or fidelity or integrity, I would cringe at wearing the uniform.  I would feel guilty for drawing a paycheck.  I would hate to go to work knowing that, ultimately, I am responsible for the diminishment of my country and the corruption of our Rule of Law.

I would ask: should I even wear this uniform at all?

And: what does the oath I took actually mean, when I originally swore in?

Cowardice asks the question: is it safe?  Expediency asks the question: is it politic?  Vanity asks the question: is it popular?  But an actual conscience asks the question: is it right?

Hillary’s book “Hard Choices” as popular as Bill’s “My Life” — America’s next door stop

Hillary Clinton TiredFrom the WeeklyStandard.com:

Publishing Source: Hillary Book a ‘Bomb’

by Daniel Halper

In an email this evening, a veteran publishing source calls the latest Hillary Clinton book, Hard Choices, a memoir of her State Department years, a “bomb.” The source is referring to the early but underwhelming sales figures.

“Between us, they are nervous at S&S [Simon & Schuster],” says the source, who gave permission for his email to be published. “Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster.”

According to this source, a Simon & Schuster insider, “They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks.” The publishing house was “hoping and praying for 150,000 print first week.”

“The 60k represents a less than 10% sell thru based on what they shipped,” says the source.

I find myself so personally disappointed in Hillary.

Oh wait.  Income.  Discretionary cash.  That’s right; nobody has any.  The American Taxpayer’s own “hard choices.”  Food, gas, or Hillary’s book.

Good point.

Whilst Rome and the world burns, Obama plays golf in Palm Springs this past weekend

Air Force One Lands At Palm Springs, 6-15-14Air Force One lands at Palm Springs International Airport, USAF fighter in foreground.

Rome burns.

The rest of the world burns.

There are more critical issues to address than can be nominally delineated.  There isn’t enough room nor sufficient time to document same here.  If you are actually aware (and isn’t that the rub) you already recognize the peril that exists for the United States of America on domestic and foreign fronts.

Obama Lands At Palm Springs To GolfThat said — yetMr Obama takes time to golf this past weekend in Palm Springs, at Sunnylands.

Update (2:43 p.m.): Malia, the Obama’s 15-year-old daughter, joined her parents in the desert Friday evening after arriving in the area by car, a source with the White House said.

Update (2:40 p.m.): The president returned to Palm Springs shortly after 2 p.m. Unlike Friday evening, no local dignitaries greeted Obama at Palm Springs International Airport. He exited Air Force Once and quickly got into a black SUV. The motorcade then headed south out of the airport.

Update (2:06 p.m.): Air Force One landed at Palm Springs International Airport.

Obama Air Force One Departs Palm SpringsThe minutae?  The details?

Whilst Rome burns within and without, Air Force One costs the American Taxpayer roughly $228,288 per hour to operate.

Whilst the world falls apart, the alleged “most powerful man in the world” spends profligately on himself for personal whims and entertainments.  Bread and sweetmeats.

Weekend golf.

Sure.

Your tax dollars be damned.

That is certainly a priority over weekend events.

GOP: giving the finger to Conservatives over Eric Cantor

RINOFigure 154: RINO in its natural setting.

From PJMedia.com:

(EXCLUSIVE) Eric Cantor’s Top Aide: I’ll ‘Bankrupt’ Virginia GOP, Install Allies, Rebuild It With Cantor’s Donor Cash

by David Steinberg

Sources tell PJ Media that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s long-time top consultant, Ray Allen, has “angrily” stated to multiple individuals that he intends to bankrupt the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV), to install his own people throughout all levels of RPV’s State Central Committee, and to rebuild the RPV with money from Eric Cantor’s donors.

Ray Allen is considered the “brain trust” of Eric Cantor’s Young Guns, which has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and has hired staff with the intention of retaking control of the RPV at all levels. (Eric Cantor and Ray Allen lost control of the RPV in 2012, when Tea Party/conservative candidates won seats at all levels of the party, taking majority control from Cantor allies.) In this effort to reclaim the majority, Ray Allen has helped orchestrate the parliamentary procedure of “slating” at several RPV conventions this season.

This is, of course, all about the terribly-embarrassing defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor by an unworthy economics professor named David Brat.  Who may or may not have had “affiliations” to the TEA Party, whatever that is and whatever that means.

Wherein the defeat was thought to be by, perhaps, a few hundred votes.  Oh no.  The defeat was by ELEVEN MILLION votes.

That said, there are new plots afoot.

These bombshell allegations — implying that Eric Cantor’s reelection effort intends to dismantle the Republican Party of Virginia and to employ it as a vehicle for the expansion of Cantor’s power and influence — could not arrive at a more precarious moment for the Cantor campaign for two reasons:

1. Cantor just suffered a game-changing defeat at the Seventh District Republican Convention. On May 10, Linwood Cobb — a powerful Cantor advocate and ally — lost the chairmanship of the Seventh District to vocal Cantor critic Fred Gruber.

Additionally, Cantor’s speech at the convention received boos and heckling when he attempted to denigrate Dave Brat. Cantor, receiving this treatment in his own district, appeared visibly unnerved and needed to interrupt his speech to address the hecklers.

2. Cantor’s own recent comments put him in a difficult position for defending against these new allegations about Allen. Recall, Cantor just asked “kissing congressman” Vance McAllister (R-LA) to resign over his infidelity, which will perhaps be considered a much lesser offense by Cantor’s constituents than these allegations regarding the behavior of Cantor’s campaign.

And that’s all you need to know.  The Old and Staid GOP giving, once again, the “finger” to Conservatives by way of arcane machinations and ancient runes.
