CRAZY:

Yoni the Blogger had some wonderful observations regarding John Holmes during the Monday afternoon Hugh Hewitt show: all you needed was one permit holder in the theater at the time, and all Mr Holmes needed was one shot to the face — a gas mask is not bulletproof — or a muzzle directly under the man’s chin.  Frankly, these two scenarios make me smile.

That said, John Holmes is simply crazy.  Period.  The gun was the tool.  The brain was malfunctioning.  The motive was simple: the man is crazy.  He is not a TEA Party member, he is not a Fascist, he is not a member of NAMBLA.  The man is crazy.  See above photograph of Mr Holmes in his first court appearance, Monday, July 23rd.  I leave you to draw your own conclusions.

As an aside, an unforeseen element weighs in: rapper Ice-T: guns are the last form of defense against tyranny.

Many and most of the Talking Heads have/are weighing in on the Aurora shootings.  Many or most of them are excreting: take guns away.

Because, after all, that most stringent of gun control is working SO well in, say, New York City.  Or Washington, DC.  Or Chicago, Illinois. The home town of Barack HUSSEIN Obama.  Or Barry Soetoro.  Choose your lie.

To more completely focus: the strictest gun laws exist in NYC.  Let’s check out their statistics, shall we?  Not good.

Isn’t it odd that the greatest surge in recent crime statistics — gun crime, specifically — seems to originate from the areas with the toughest gun laws?

Gun crime spiking in Montana?  North Dakota?  Wyoming?  Pretty much any of the so-called “flyover states”?  Uh: no.

Oddly enough, only in the areas where the greatest concentration of populations occur and, by this dint, the greatest number of Leftists reside.

I wonder: could there POSSIBLY be a correlation?

Nah.

Anita Moncrief, ACORN whistleblower, explains Leftist corruption:

[And many thanks to GeeeeeZ!]

Anita Moncrief is a “coon at a Klan party,” according to a commenter on her blog following her speech at C-PAC in 2010.  That comment, of course, from a Leftist.

At roughly 9 minutes each, the two videos below will explain much to you and reveal that — oddly enough — much of what you thought about Leftists is quite correct.  These videos were recorded at C-PAC, Orlando, Florida, on September 23rd of 2011.

Followed with:

This is how Leftists work and how they think and how they succeed.  It’s about power and control and philosophy, and the people they allege to promote are nothing more than stepping stones to various positions of power and money and corruption — witness ACORN.

Include the Middle Class in ACORN?  Hell no.  ACORN telling the truth about corruption?  Hell no.  Any of the DEM/MSM wanting to cover said corruption — like the New York Times, CNN and others?  Hell no.  As Moncrief indicates, this information was purposely buried by the DEM/MSM because it might have tainted the chances for Mr Obama’s election.

Which is why I’m going to continue to point out the facts and disappointments and hypocrisy of Mr Obama, his minions, his philosophies and those of his supporters who, at this point, have predominantly no one save themselves to blame for the current state of this nation.

The tack by Leftists from now until election: AVOID THE FACTS.  Make distractions, make feints, make personal attacks.

Because Mr Obama cannot stand on his own two feet with regard to any actual accomplishments in his term — with the exception of his aggrandizement, his arrogance and the continuing display of his NPD.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon lectures America on its gun laws

Directly following the July 20th mass killing of 12 persons at a midnight showing of the new Batman movie in Aurora, Colorado — Mexican President Felipe Calderon deigns to lecture America about its gun laws.

From Reuters.com:

(Reuters) – Mexican President Felipe Calderon condemned U.S. gun laws as “mistaken” and urged Washington to review them after a shooter killed 12 people and injured more than 50 others at a U.S. movie theater on Friday.

But Mexico’s president, who has repeatedly called on Washington to tighten gun controls to stop weapons flowing from the United States into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, said U.S. weapons policy needed a rethink after the killings.

“Because of the Aurora, Colorado tragedy, the American Congress must review its mistaken legislation on guns. It’s doing damage to us all,” Calderon said.

The presidency of Calderon, who leaves office at the end of November, has been overshadowed by his efforts to crack down on the drug gangs. Fighting among the cartels and their clashes with the state have killed more than 55,000 people since 2007.

Calderon has also urged Washington to revive a ban on assault weapons in the United States that expired in 2004.

My, how that seems to entirely reek of the pot calling the kettle “black.”  Hypocrisy, thy name is Felipe Calderon.

Please allow me to, via this blog, remind President Calderon of a few things, a la a widely-known liberal outlet called Wikipedia — so that my various Trolls won’t accuse me of being nothing more than the Sierra Nevada outlet for Fox News:

– Violent crime against journalistas:  15 journalists have been murdered in Mexico since 2000 alone.[20] Few of the perpetrators have been brought to justice. One of the more prominent cases was that of syndicated columnist Francisco Arratia Saldierna, a prominent and well-known journalist who wrote a column called Portavoz (or “Spokesman”). The column featured topics such as corruption, organized crime, and drug trafficking.[21]

Arratia’s murder, which was particularly brutal, and others like it, sparked demands from other journalists that then-President Vicente Fox do more to enforce security and bring those responsible for the murders to justice. In 2004, a group of 215 reporters and editors sent an urgent letter to President Fox and other federal authorities, demanding that they address these concerns. The letter represented a massive communication effort coming from professionals from 19 of the nation’s 31 states. The key demand was that violent crimes against journalists be made federal crimes, so they would be investigated and prosecuted by federal officers and not by local officials whom the letter claims could be the same people who commit the crimes.[21]

The effect of these crimes has been the self-censorship of many journalists, due to fears of retribution from criminals.[20] The situation has earned attention from prominent global organizations such as the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Center for Journalism and Public Ethics (CEPET). Amerigo Incalcaterra of the OHCHR advocated the protection of journalists and the preservation of freedom of speech, calling it “essential for the consolidation of democracy and the rule of law in this country”.[20]

Seems to me that a paltry handful of journalists have been killed in this country since its inception.  To wit:

Chauncey Bailey, a black journalist in Oakland, was killed in 2007 during his investigation of a business called “Your Black Muslim Bakery.”  Three shotgun blasts to the chest usually do it.  Here’s a shocker: “The Mossberg shotgun used in the murder was later identified as one stolen during a liquor store vandalism 2 years prior suspected to have been committed by members of Your Black Muslim Bakery.[14]  This was a black-on black killing committed for betrayal and cash.

Don Bolles, whose killing was linked to the Mafia.  He died in a 1976 car bombing.

Mark Kellogg died in 1876, killed at the Battle of Little Bighorn.  Yes, we’re reaching here, trying to find murdered journalistas in America.

Anne Presley.  She died in a 2008 home invasion.  This was not politically or fiscally motivated by any semblance of organized crime.  Yes, I am reaching.

Jennifer Servo.  She was killed by a suspected co-worker. Yes, much reaching here also.

As all of my college professors would say: contrast and compare.  Then contrast and compare the number of cops, judges, politicians and civilians killed by Mexicans in Mexico against those in the US, factoring for overall percentile of population.

Then factor in overall national corruption on the local, state and federal levels between both countries.

Then factor in statistics: ONE in every TEN crimes is actually REPORTED in Mexico.

And let us not forget the age-old concept of La Mordida.  Any American who has traveled by car in Mexico can tell you of this and regale you with multiple tales.

In conclusion, my own little bon mot to President Felipe Calderon: fuck you.  Clean up your own Pampers before you decide to conceptually walk across MY border and try to dribble your shit down MY leg.

I don’t quite think I can make my opinion much more clear and concise than that.

What you WON’T read in the DEM/MSM: guns PREVENT crime

In the video below, a 71-year-old man at an internet cafe in Ocala, Florida on Friday, July 13th, takes umbrage with two purposely-hooded “youths” who decided to rob said cafe via handgun and baseball bat:

From The Washington Post.com:

OCALA, Fla. — Authorities in central Florida say two men were trying to rob an Internet cafe when a 71-year-old patron began shooting his own gun, wounding the suspects.

Surveillance video shows two masked men entering the Palms Internet Cafe around 10 p.m. Friday. The Ocala Star-Banner reports one pointed a gun at customers while the other swung a baseball bat.

Nineteen-year-olds Duwayne Henderson and Davis Dawkins were later arrested and face attempted armed robbery with a firearm and criminal mischief charges. Both posted bail and were released.

The video shows patron Samuel Williams pulling a handgun and shooting. He continues firing while the suspects fall over each other as they run out the door.

Williams has a concealed weapons permit. Bill Gladson of the Marion County State Attorney’s Office says the shooting appears justified.

Because race means everything to the DEM/MSM and Leftists, I should care to point out that the aged shooter was white, and the “youths” were black.

To Mr Williams I say: nice crouch, nice two-handed Weaver stance, sir.  And nice aggression.  Take the fight to the enemy.  Keep moving.  You were textbook.

God bless you sir.

Now that’s a Seasoned Citizen who clanks when he walks.

Finally, this most interesting tidbit from UK’s The Telegraph (indicating, once again, that if you wish to discover what’s really occurring in this country, I strongly suggest scouring UK news):

According to the FBI, over 1.5 million background checks on customers were requested by gun dealers to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System in December. Nearly 500,000 of those were in the six days before Christmas.

It was the highest number ever in a single month, surpassing the previous record set in November.

On Dec 23 alone there were 102,222 background checks, making it the second busiest single day for buying guns in history.

The actual number of guns bought may have been even higher if individual customers took home more than one each.

Explanations for America’s surge in gun buying include that it is a response to the stalled economy with people fearing crime waves. Another theory is that buyers are rushing to gun shops because they believe tighter firearms laws will be introduced in the future.

In that light, I would suggest that under a Leftist administration such as Mr Obama’s, tighter firearms laws are an absolute guarantee. Further, I submit that you can count on a vicious clamp on ammunition, restrictions to include the types and amount of ammunition purchased and lengthy backgrounds checks, as with firearms, involving sales of rounds.

The trend had already started in 2008 (again, UK’s The Telegraph) just before the November presidential election.

“I’ve sold probably four times as much in the last six months as I have in 20 years combined,” said Cliff Hunter, owner of Tommy Bronson Sporting Goods in Memphis. “Hand guns and the tactical weapons, they’re absolutely off the charts.”

Most of his gun sales used to be for hunting, or personal protection in a city riddled with crime. But just before the November election, anxiety that Mr Obama would win and enact a radical programme of curtailing gun rights began drove business right up.

“Obama’s a liberal socialist and I think he’s proven quickly how extreme he is,” he said. “When they get through healthcare, guns are on the table. They’re not talking about it but it’s going to happen.”

The FBI recorded a 49 per cent rise in gun background checks during election week compared to the same week a year earlier.

This should come as no shock to any right-thinking individual.

Finally, a brief summary of federal gun control in the United States:
