May 29 (Reuters) – If Greece left the euro, living standards would plummet, incomes would be slashed by more than half, and inflation and unemployment would skyrocket, the National Bank of Greece warned on Tuesday.

In a report released ahead of an election on June 17 that may determine whether the country stays in the single currency, the country’s biggest bank said the risk of Athens exiting the euro was no longer just a theoretical possibility, warning that the fallout from such a move would be dramatic.

“An exit from the euro would lead to a significant decline in the living standards of Greek citizens,” the NBG wrote ahead of a vote which parties opposed to austerity measures that have kept Greece in the euro so far have a chance of winning.

The bank said per capita income would collapse by at least 55 percent, the new national currency would depreciate by 65 percent against the euro and a recession, now in its fifth year, would deepen by 22 percent.

Painting a dire picture of post-euro Greece, it added that unemployment would jump to 34 percent of the work force from around 22 percent now and that inflation would rise to 30 percent from its current level of 2 percent.

As I’ve said before, PIGS in Europe (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain) will be the determinants in the future success or failure in Europe. And that so-called success or failure — more likely abject failure — will cross the Atlantic in pure microsecond internet style and impact our own stock market and banking system. Which may include not just a run on Greek banks, but an unhinged run on American banks.

This, I submit, is the lynch-pin upon which our global future rests.

Simple as that.

And all Mr Obama would have to do is to guarantee that, for the next five years, at minimum, the current tax cuts would stay in place. The American Economy would EXPLODE because there would be, at least, something predictable that businesses could rely upon for the foreseeable future. The outbreak of violence this warm Memorial Day weekend—10 fatal shootings, 40 wounded—has brought another round of media coverage about the city’s increased homicide rate in 2012, and with it some perplexing statistics. For instance:

Through Sunday, there have been at least 200 homicides compared to 134 during the same period in 2011, a 49.25 increase, according to unofficial police data.

Shootings are up nearly 14 percent over the last year through Sunday: 851 compared to 747 in 2011, according to the data.

Shootings are up slightly, homicides are way up. It’s a reminder that it’s not a one-to-one relationship. The difference between a shooting and a homicide can be a matter of inches; one of the Friday shootings was a graze wound to the head which left the victim in good condition, but a literal hair’s breadth from being another homicide. Sometimes more shootings turn out to be lethal than others. Curiously enough, despite the intensive research on murder and homicide rates in American cities, there’s virtually no research on the subject.

Let me conclude with this:

These shootings don’t involve Caucasoids.

They don’t involve Asians.

They don’t involve Mexicans or “Hispanics.”

They don’t involve Tongans.

They don’t involve Filipinos.

They don’t involve Bosnians.

They involve BLACKS.

In the city that is the epitome of Leftist/Demorat Ideology: Chicago. With more Free Cheese, corruption, money, graft, and political simpering than the mind can comprehend.

Urban black males and females exhibit a failing culture that will continue to fall and crash. And rightly so. This is nothing more than Darwinian. When you do not value yourselves — how can you possibly expect anyone else to create false value on your lives?

The strong survive. And you, urban blacks, are not strong and not deserving of survival. You have Demorats and Leftists to thank for this. It is their policies that are killing you. Day after day, month after month, year after year. Urban black males: keep shooting yourselves in the head. Leftists couldn’t care less about you.
