Coulter: “IF THE GOP IS THIS STUPID, IT DESERVES TO DIE”

Jindal's Stupid PartyFrom Ann Coulter’s column:

Democrats terrify Hispanics into thinking they’ll be lynched if they vote for Republicans, and then turn around and taunt Republicans for not winning a majority of the Hispanic vote. This line of attack has real resonance with our stupidest Republicans. (Proposed Republican primary targets: Sens. Kelly Ayotte, Jeff Flake, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio.) Which explains why Republicans are devoting all their energy to slightly increasing their share of the Hispanic vote while alienating everyone else in America.

It must be fun for liberals to manipulate Republicans into focusing on hopeless causes. Why don’t Democrats waste their time trying to win the votes of gun owners?

As journalist Steve Sailer recently pointed out, the Hispanic vote terrifying Republicans isn’t that big. It actually declined in 2012. The Census Bureau finally released the real voter turnout numbers from the last election, and the Hispanic vote came in at only 8.4 percent of the electorate — not the 10 percent claimed by the pro-amnesty crowd.

It puzzled me years ago and it puzzles me now; why is it Republicans believe that in order to win votes they must abandon their Conservative principles, cede power and then refuse to wield said power when they find themselves in the majority of Congress?

Has Ann Coulter nailed the issue?

Continuing to lose freedoms: “N.J. Bill Seeks Crackdown On Distracted Driving By Forcing Drivers To Hand Over Phones”

WarrantFrom CBSNewsNewYork:

Legal Experts See Possible Showdown Pitting Safety Vs. Fourth Amendment

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — License, registration and your cellphone, please.

Police in New Jersey may soon be allowed to search your cellphone after an accident.

A bill proposed Monday in the New Jersey State Senate would require drivers involved in an accident to hand over their phones — no warrant necessary.

Motorists were mixed on the proposal aimed at cracking down on distracted driving.

To this I say: WRONG.

Let there be no mistake: it’s no secret that I’m a cop.  And I value my precious American freedoms like — I would hope — everyone else.  I also value my very precious ass on vehicle stops and contacts with suspects and inmates.

That said, this bill is wrong.  Red light cameras are wrong.  Cops Tasing grandmothers are wrong.  Cameras on every corner are wrong.  Cop drones over our cities are wrong.  A “Surveillance State” is wrong.  Abrogating the 4th Amendment is wrong.  Let me make this abundantly clear for those of you who just tuned in: abrogating the 4th Amendment is WRONG.

If I find your cell phone in a search incident to arrest, and the case is major, then I would be wise to acquire a warrant.  My DA would want that.

But to suggest that on something as minor as a traffic stop?  That cops can literally confiscate your cellular telephone with no warrant?

Luckily, apparently, that is not YET the case.

Computer Access Not Restricted, Lerner Continues to Log In to IRS System

Lois Lerner Paid VacationFrom NationalReview.com:

Lois Lerner, the Internal Revenue Service’s director of Exempt Organizations currently on paid leave, has not had any of her computer access restricted since she abdicated her responsibilities, according to an IRS source with knowledge of the situation.

Lerner was placed on administrative leave on May 21 after refusing to tender her resignation, and logged into the IRS’s computer system using her agency computer as recently as June 4, the source tells me. She has the ability to access the same information that was available to her before she was placed on leave. The sources tells National Review Online

[Lerner] can still access taxpayer data. If your duties do not inlude dealing with taxpayers, you are forbidden from seeing the information. That is a violation of IRS policy, and if she actually accesses any file that contains any Personal Identifiable Information, it is a felony violation. That would include emails that she has in her files discussing any taxpayer case that contains the name, address, phone numbers or tax data from a case. Actual Unauthorized Access (IRS uses the term UNAX) would be a really good reason for the new boss to can her in a hurry. I am sure a simple examination of her email files and hard drive would discover she still has taxpayer data.

Since Lerner is not currently dealing with taxpayers while on leave, she is forbidden from accessing any taxpayer data, though her computer permissions allow her to do so.

Imagine that.  No accountability once again during a Demorat Administration.

And the hits and abortions just keep on coming.

Chuck Hagel confirmed as Secretary of Defense, 58 to 41

Invertebrate GOPFrom FoxNews.com:

Senate approves Hagel for Defense secretary after historic nomination fight

After Republicans blocked the nomination earlier this month, they ultimately allowed for an up-or-down vote on Tuesday. The margin was historically close, with 58 senators supporting him and 41 opposing in the end.

The Left and Demorats are celebrating today, patting the backs of the four Republicans who joined them in confirming Hagel: Thad Cochran of Mississippi, Mike Johanns of Nebraska, Richard Shelby of Alabama and Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Of course, the Republicans signed off on the cloture vote.  So, once again, they cave.  Plus, we have those four RINOs who actually voted for Hagel.  Hagel didn’t deserve an “up or down” vote because he didn’t even deserve the nomination.  Hagel, in fact, isn’t much interested in doing anything for the military; one could make the argument that Chuck Hagel eminently dislikes the military.  Lovely.  An antisemite as our Secretary of Defense.

“The political reality is that the Jewish Lobby intimidates a lot of people around here.”
— Chuck Hagel, 2006

The US acts like a “schoolyard bully.”
— Chuck Hagel, 2007

Our new Secretary of Defense: Chuck Hagel.  Thank God Louis Farrakhan supported the nomination of Chuck Hagel.
