Corruption from Demorat Nancy Pelosi: once AGAIN, her husband benefits

And, as is standard with Pelosi’s corruption, it involved the major fiscal benefit of her millionaire husband, Paul.

This is no different.  Uncovered and un-trumpeted by the American Media Maggots.

From the WashingtonFreeBeacon.com:

Pelosi Subsidies Benefit Husband’s Investment in Dem Mega-Donor’s Company

by Lachlan Markay

CEO donated to Pelosi, bundled for Obama, as Dem leader boosted his real estate holdings

The top Democrat in the House of Representatives steered more than a billion dollars in subsidies to a light rail project that benefitted a company run by a high-dollar Democratic donor and in which her husband is a major investor.

When cloud computing giant Salesforce sold a large plot of land to the Golden State Warriors in April, it had House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to thank for helping to swell real estate prices in the area.

Pelosi has worked for more than a decade to steer taxpayer funds to a light rail project in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, where Salesforce had planned a new campus. Experts say the project boosted the value of Mission Bay real estate.

The company’s CEO, Marc Benioff, is a high-dollar Democratic donor. Pelosi and her leadership PAC are among the recipients of his generous campaign contributions. Pelosi’s husband is also a major Salesforce investor.

The most important sentence: “PELOSI’S HUSBAND IS ALSO A MAJOR SALESFORCE INVESTOR.”

Follow the bread-crumbs and follow the corruption.  Translated: follow the Pelosis.

Question: did Nancy “marry up” or did Paul Pelosi “marry up”?

Paul Frank Pelosi (born April 15, 1940 in San Francisco) is an American businessman who owns and operates Financial Leasing Services, Inc., a San Francisco, California-based real estate and venture capital investment and consulting firm. In addition, he is the owner of the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League.

And:

Pelosi’s office did not respond to questions about whether that might constitute a conflict of interest.

The Democratic leader’s investments in companies with business before the House came under intense scrutiny in 2011 and 2012 when Congress debated measures governing “insider trading” by members of Congress.

An eventual law imposing stricter regulations on members’ financial activities even included language informally dubbed the “Pelosi provision” due to her and her husband’s participation in IPOs of companies actively lobbying for or against federal legislation.

A tad bit more detail:

Two stops on the extended light rail line are about three blocks from a four-story office building owned by Paul Pelosi.

C’mon, that’s just an evil and random fragment of chance.

Leftists: emoticons are racist

Emoji ExamplesWith all of the things occurring on the planet, Leftists are once again navel-gazing and placing the racism of emoticons at the top of the heap in terms of importance.

You can’t write this stuff.

From MotherboardVice.com (whatever the hell that is):

The Petition to Make Emoji Less Racist

If you spend a decent amount of time on the internet, chances are you’ve heard people raising hell because there are no African-American Emoji icons. Diversity-minded texters are now actually trying to do something about the emoticon racism problem, by petitioning Apple to add more people of color to its Emoji keyboard.

“If these Emoji are going to be the texting and Twitter standard, we think it’d be cool if they better reflected the diversity of the people using them,” argues a petition currently up on DoSomething.org, spotted by Fast Company.

The petition laments that out of 800 emoticons, the only two person icons that aren’t white: a guy who looks “vaguely Asian” and another wearing a turban. Meanwhile, it points out, there are two different camels, a smiling pile of poo, and a cop, bride, grandma and dancer, all white. But zero black people.

Stop the presses!  Emoticons are racist, those evil bastards!  Or bastardettes!  Or LGBTQ bastardoritos!  Bastardoritas?

But if you wish even more extreme irrelevancy — to the point where you’re likely in another dimension entirely — read this:

Some white emojis, such as the image of the police officer, appear to hold positions of power, emphasizing the idea that minorities do not commonly occupy skilled jobs like these. In addition, the blonde princess represents that only pure and royal whites can obtain power. In fact, I am surprised that they do not have a white king. The white angel also shows white purity, while an image of white hands held up in a prayer position implies that religion or Catholicism is a white concept. In addition, the absence of non-white females demonstrates a lack of awareness of the intersectionality between race and gender in society.

Emoticons in “positions of power.”  Once again, the white Emoticon keeping the black emoticon down.

What a wonderful society this must be when, as a Millennial, all you have to be concerned with is the racism of Emoticons.

I shake my head.  What a massive generation of navel-gazing pussies we have raised.

P.S.

Pssst.  Hello?  Leftists?  Anyone notice that Emoticons are actually yellow?

Gwyneth Paltrow compares online attacks to surviving war: It’s a ‘bloody, dehumanizing thing’

Bryan Sykes SFC Green BeretFrom the NYDailyNews.com:

In an interview with Re/code, the GOOP founder talked about Internet commenters and how she has learned to ignore their negativity.

by Kirthana Ramisetti

Gwyneth Paltrow has a message for Internet trolls: Look inside yourself before attacking others.

The actress spoke out about online commenters in an interview with Re/code on Tuesday, in advance of a surprise appearance at the Code Conference, a two-day event of “top industry influencers in media and technology” taking place in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

“It’s culturally acceptable to be an anonymous commenter,” she said. “It’s culturally acceptable to say, ‘I’m just going to take all of my internal pain and externalize it anonymously.'”

So far, not so stupid.  Drowning in self-pity perhaps, but not so stupid.  She promptly, however, crosses into stupid:

“You come across (online comments) about yourself and about your friends, and it’s a very dehumanizing thing,” the star said. “It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing … My hope is, as we get out of it, we’ll reach the next level of conscience.”

With that in mind, SFC Bryan Sykes (photo above) had the following to say regarding Paltrow’s comment.

To Miss Paltrow,

I’d first like to start out by saying how terrible I feel for you and all your friends that on a daily basis have to endure mean words written by people you don’t know. I can only imagine the difficulty of waking up in a 12,000 square foot Hollywood home and having your assistant retrieve your iPhone, only to see that the battery is low and someone on twitter (the social media concept that you and all of your friends contribute to on an hourly basis to feed your ego and narcissistic ways), has written a mean word or 2 about you. You’ve hit the nail on the head, war is exactly like that. You should receive a medal for the burden you have carried on your shoulders due to these meanies on social media.

You said, “Its almost like, how in war, you go through this bloody dehumanizing thing and then something is defined out of it.” I could see how you, and others like you in “the biz”, could be so insecure and mentally weak that you could pair the difficulty of your life on twitter to my brothers who have had their limbs ripped off and seen their friends shot, blown up, burned and disfigured, or wake up every morning in pain – while just starting the day is a challenge. How about our wives? The ones that sign on to be there for us through thick and thin, that help us to shake the hardships of war upon our return? And do all this while being mothers to our kids, keeping bills in order because we are always gone, and keeping our lives glued together. They do all this, by the way, without a team of accountants, nanny’s, personal assistants, and life coaches. Yeah, reading a mean tweet is just like all that.

You know what is really “dehumanizing”, Miss Paltrow? The fact that you’d even consider that your life as an “A-list” celebrity reading internet comments could even compare to war and what is endured on the battlefield. You and the other “A-listers” that think like you are laughable. You all have actually convinced yourselves that you in some way face difficulty on a regular basis. Let me be the first to burst your bubble: a long line at Starbucks, your driver being 3 minutes late, a scuff mark on your $1200 shoes and a mean tweet do not constitute difficulty in the eyes of a soldier.

Understand me when I say this: war does not define me. It is a chapter in my life that helped shaped me. Being a husband and father is what defines me. Remember, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never…be close to what war is.

I don’t suppose anyone could have written this reply better than SFC Sykes.

The continuing insanity of Leftists — “Eleanor Clift: Ambassador Stevens wasn’t murdered; he died from ‘smoke inhalation’ “

Eleanor CliftThe Leftists continue to derail time and again via the ever-willing American Media Maggots.

From the WashingtonTimes.com:

by Cheryl K. Chumley

Eleanor Clift, noted liberal columnist and pundit from the Daily Beast, insisted during a broadcast discussion of Benghazi on “The McLaughlin Group” that U.S. Ambassador  Christopher Stevens wasn’t really murdered.

He actually died from “smoke inhalation,” she said, Mediaite reported.

Her exact words: “I’d like to point out that Ambassador Stevens was not ‘murdered,’ ” she said, bending her fingers in the air to suggest the drawing of quote marks, “but died of smoke inhalation in a CIA safe room.”

And here is the proof that I am not making this up:

Is this idiot so incredibly tone deaf as to suggest that Ambassador Christopher Stevens simply died due to a mistake with fire?

Apparently she is.

Plus: she is still vomiting out the “video” meme when, in fact, even the Spite House itself has disavowed the video bent.

Ms. Clift’s reply: The terrorist attack was fueled by the anti-Muslim video. And “it was still a CIA [outpost]. If you’re going to put somebody on trial, put David Petraeus on trial, not Hillary Clinton.”

Does this woman not read her own Leftist newspapers?  Does she not watch the Defeatist, Elitist Media TV stations?  Does she not even monitor information from the Spite House itself?

Apparently she doesn’t.

This is so incredibly offensive as to beggar the imagination.

It is akin to suggesting that Jews weren’t murdered in the Holocaust, they just died of gas inhalation.

Or that they simply succumbed to heat exhaustion.

I still find myself staggered by this insanity and stupidity.
