The Red Cross in Afghanistan has been teaching the Taliban basic first aid and giving them medical equipment to help fighters wounded in battles with NATO and Afghani forces, The Guardian claimed Tuesday.
More than 70 members of the “armed opposition” received training in April, the Red Cross has said.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it had offered its medical expertise because it was difficult for the wounded to get to hospitals because of battles, land mines and roadblocks.
Exclusive: Insurgents given training and equipment to help battlefield casualties
Today, a leading figure in Kandahar’s local government, who wanted to remain anonymous, said the Taliban did “not deserve to be treated like humans.”
He said: “They are like animals, and they treat the people they capture worse than animals. They kidnapped and killed an American lady and then wouldn’t even return her body. These people don’t deserve this help.”
People, I don’t make this recommendation lightly. But — you and I — we both realize we have to place our cash or our dearth of cash quite specifically in order to support — or not support — those agencies and philosophies we either embrace or disdain.
In the patois of a Mafia Don: the Red Cross is now “dead to me.”
I recommend you likewise stop whatever contributions you might have been making to the Red Cross. They don’t deserve it. The Red Cross is giving aid and comfort to those people whose goal is to disable, maim and kill our own American troops.
The information is out: North Korea sank the South Korean warship on March 26th, which resulted in the deaths of 46 South Korean sailors. North Korea immediately disavowed responsibility. Facts in evidence proved otherwise. Investigations now indicates Kim Jong Il authorized the attack.
You may not be aware, but there are still 28,000 US troops stationed in South Korea near the SoKo/NoKo border, as a holdover from the 1950 to 1953 Korean War.
The divided Koreas are not just at stake. The Two Largest Global Dogs are in the hunt: China and the United States. If military action is taken against North Korea, money can be wagered that China will step in on the side of North Korea. The US will be support South Korea.
The up-ramping from words to actions to “throw weight” could be geometric.
An idiot politician who voted for drivers licenses for illegal immigrants was involved in a serious car crash with a drunk illegal invader in Boston this past Friday, May 21st.
State Rep. Mike Moran of Brighton was rear-ended by a suspected illegal immigrant this week. The suspect was wearing a Mexican costume at the time of the crash where he slammed into Moran at 60 mph.
The suspect, 27-year-old Isaias Naranjo, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. According to the report, when told of the serious charges he would be facing, he just laughed.
Further, another glorious part:
Moran also concurred, three years ago, when Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick revoked an order by former governor Mitt Romney which gave state police power to investigate immigration violations.
The federal government has decided that it can break its own laws at will. Also, it has decided that it will not simply break its own laws “behind the scenes” and at least attempt to cloak its moves. Oh no. Its total arrogance is such that it deigns to do so in the brightest light of day:
Then, by extension sir, the federal law itself is “not good government”? Because that, sir, is precisely upon which the Arizona law is predicated — mandated, for its own survival, because the federal government is affording Arizona little in terms of protection guaranteed by the US Constitution. And, unlike AG Holder and DHS Secretary Napolitano, you may actually read Arizona’s bill here.
These people in your federal government are, you must clearly conclude, willing to place pedantic personal philosophy far above the security of the nation in which you live.
Their incredible — and dangerous — ignorance doesn’t stop there.
WSB TV in Atlanta conducted investigations into those crossing the Mexican/US border illegally and pulled the curtains aside: it’s not just Mexicans entering illegally, its those from terrorist nations who wish to kill us. Muslim prayer rugs are found on American ranches bordering Mexico. Members of Hezbollah have crossed our southwest borders.
A publication from the US government itself, entitled “A Line in the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border” confirms that military jackets have been found on the border with patches that read: “Martyr, way to eternal life” and airplanes crashing into the Twin Towers.
The report also indicates that Middle Eastern terrorists travel to South America, to the tri-border region, learn to speak Spanish, cross into Mexico and blend into other illegals heading north to the United States.
Are you so adept, Mr Holder, Mr Morton, Mr Obaka, that you can clearly and readily discern swarthy Middle Eastern individuals speaking Spanish from Mexican nationals?
The report indicates that a major concern is with Mexican drug cartels assisting ME terror subjects to smuggle weapons and equipment north into the United States.
Part II of the WSB-Atlanta TV investigation reveals that people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, they’ve all been caught trying to sneak across the border — all 2,000 miles of it. In some places there are only thick metal posts and cross beams — only enough to stop some vehicles. In other places the fence consists of wooden stakes and horizontal wire fencing — and that’s been entirely trampled. A four-year-old could walk across the border unimpeded.
Twenty per-cent of those caught crossing the border have criminal backgrounds. Every year to date, hundreds caught crossing are from terrorist nations. 23 Somalis — with ties to al Qaeda — were recently released from a Mexican prison, their goal being to cross the border into the US.
Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Yemen — people from all these terrorist sponsoring/hiding/enabling countries have been caught.
The US government no longer releases the “Captured OTM (Other Than Mexican)” list. The list reveals that, nine full years after 9/11, our borders remain open and are a major threat to Americans and our national security. Your government wants that list to remain a secret. Your government wants you to remain ignorant of the threat — all for philosophic and not realistic reasons.
What’s happening at the US/Mexican border — or more factually, what isn’t happening — doesn’t just affect Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Fornicalia. It affects the entire nation.
So you see, ladies and gentlemen, this isn’t just about Free Mexican Cheese or racism towards little brown people. It’s about securing our borders, about our nation determining who enters and who doesn’t and, moreover, knowing the nature and mindset of those who enter — knowing where they are, what they do, and if they simply want to eat our cheese for free or kill us.
This, my dearest readers, is why we must control our borders. Not just for our economy, not just for our sovereignty, but for our very survival.
Which is why, I submit, the current federal administration is not simply ignorant, arrogant, divisive, divorced from reality, defeatist and elitist — but they are damned dangerous as well.
I suppose it had to occur sometime; my LG Vu phone tanked. We discussed the situation for a while, then my wife and I decided to give Apple’s iPhone a try.
We were able to keep our current plan (which AT&T no longer offers), keep our 5,000 rollover minutes, and our monthly bill decreased by $5 a month. Instead of phones that had, essentially, nothing more than calling and texting capabilities, we have two 3GS iPhones connected to just about everything. It appears that this is a small computer having the adjunct ability to make phone calls.
Again, like most of Apple’s products, you’re not just buying a device, you’re buying a design concept. The box in which it rested was a gorgeous display of simplicity and creative thought. It came with a charger and iPod-type earphone set. The charging cable does double-duty, insofar as the phone can be charged via USB, as well as a wall plug. What simplicity. What a thing of beauty.
I acquired the 32-gig 3GS because I plan to stack the iPhone with tons of music albums to use whilst I walk or hike, at work and at home. My wife only wanted the 16-gig.
I have much to learn about the iPhone. I can make a phone call. That’s about it at this point.
So, for all of you who may already possess iPhones, do you have any words of wisdom, suggestions, comments, warnings or recommendations?
