The hits just keep on coming: Hollywood weighs in on Paul Ryan

From USAToday.com:

Eva Longoria: “Romney’s VP pick voted against equal pay for women and repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. We can’t go backward.”

Olivia Wilde: “Two R’s won’t make it right. Romney/Ryan are Wrong for America.”

Jared Leto: “Today Mitt Romney picked Paul Ryan, who wants to cut Pell Grant scholarships for nearly 10 million students!”

Michael Ian Black: “Romney/Ryan = same initials as Ronald Reagan. THINK ABOUT IT!!!”

Andy Richter: “I think saying “worst recovery in 70 years” is kinda cute. Doesn’t at all beg the phrase “worst recession in 70 years.”

Kal Penn: “This is awful. I was hoping it would be Jindal so I could play him in a HBO movie”

Michael Moore: “Channeling Bush, war supporters/military dodgers Romney and Ryan insult those who served by using battleship as their prop.”

Rupert Murdoch: “Thank God! Now we might have a real election on the great issues of the day. Paul Ryan almost perfect choice.”

Russell Simmons: “MItt Romney and Paul Ryan, two men who will destroy our people…”

You would expect no less, would you?

These people, frankly, are so out-of-touch as to be almost pitied.

With their wealth, they can literally afford, however, to be stupid.

CNN: naming Paul Ryan is a GOP “ticket death wish.”

CNN just can’t let it alone.  It’s in their genes:

From Candy Crowley on CNN, in regard to Ryan as Romney’s VP pick:

CROWLEY: …that this might be, looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish. That, oh, my gosh, do we really want to talk about these thing? Is this where we want to go when the economy is so bad? We could have stayed on that.

Ah yes, CNN carrying — once again — the water for Mr Obama and the Demorats.  Being the good little Minions for Leftists Everywhere.

[Question to CNN: how are those ratings working out for you?]

I knew it would start; clearly CNN’s Crowley and CNN’s Gloria Borger both wish to carry Obama’s water.

As well as MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell:

ANDREA MITCHELL: I think that you’re going to see that they’ve decided that this is a base election.

CHRIS HAYES: Yeah.

MITCHELL: This is not a pick for suburban moms. This is not a pick for women. This is a pick for the base.

This isn’t a pick for women who want their contraception for free.  This isn’t a pick for women who want hot-and-cold running abortions up to the 7th month.  And this isn’t a pick for women who want exclusivity and more divisiveness in America.

Further: this isn’t a pick for people who wish to continue Class Warfare.

This isn’t a pick for those who wish to continue Race Warfare.

This isn’t a pick for those who wish to continue the War Against Business.

This isn’t a pick for those who wish to continue Sex Warfare.

This isn’t a pick for those who wish to continue Profit Warfare.

This isn’t a pick for those who wish to continue Something For Nothing.

This IS, however, a pick for those persons who wish to push all of that extraneous bullshit aside and advocate for AMERICANS, and Sovereignty and Liberty and balanced budgets and the Rule of Law and the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

So sign me up.

P.S.
Oh yeah, that’s right; I’m already signed up.  I put my cash where my mouth is.

Romney’s VP: General David Petraeus?

Breaking news from the UK at TheDailyMail:

  • Drudge Report says Barack Obama was overheard saying Romney was courting the popular general
  • Petraeus was the most prominent military commander in the nation — credited with stabilizing the Iraq War
  • Tension between the general, who is now CIA director, and Obama over draw down of troops in Afghanistan
  • Obama is thought to fear Petraeus’ political power if he becomes a critic of the administration
  • White House denies Obama ever mentioned Petraeus as possible vice presidential candidate

Would this make any difference to you as a voter?

The DEM/MSM: fair and balanced towards Romney — NOT

I’ll make no bones about it: you cannot trust the bulk of American media for unbiased coverage of most any incident and certainly not involving political events or individuals that do not lean Left or aren’t Demorat in orientation.

I would reference this article from NewsBusters.org by Scott Whitlock:

Networks That Fawned Over Obama’s World Tour Mock Romney’s International ‘Blunders’

Mitt Romney’s week-long international trip resulted in unrelentingly negative coverage from the big three broadcast networks, a stark change from the glowing press awarded to then-candidate Barack Obama’s world tour in 2008. While Obama was treated like a rock star (from the Associated Press: “It’s not only Obama’s youth, eloquence and energy that have stolen hearts across the Atlantic….”), Romney endured a focus on gaffes and the trivial.

MRC analysts examined all 21 ABC, CBS and NBC evening news stories about Romney’s trip to London, Israel and Poland between July 25 and July 31. Virtually all of these stories (18, or 86%) emphasized Romney’s “diplomatic blunders,” from his “golden gaffe” at the Olympic games to “missteps” that offended the Palestinians.

The first of these “gaffes” was the former GOP governor asserting that security problems in London are not “encouraging.” (This unsurprising point had previously been made by many in the media.)

Obama’s 2008 foreign tour, unlike Romney’s 2012 version, received glowing coverage.

When the Democrat arrived in Berlin to speak, Brian Williams could hardly contain himself. On the July 24, 2008 Nightly News, he trumpeted, “…The man from Chicago, Illinois, the first ever African-American running as presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party, brought throngs of people into the center of Berlin, streaming into this city, surging to get close to him, to hear his message.”

It distills down to this:
  • Obama good;
  • Romney bad

Just ask all the major American news outlets.

Oh, and this little-covered tidbit:

Obama’s job approval rating slips BELOW 44%.

Just sayin’.
