This past Memorial Day weekend in Chicago? FORTY shootings and TEN deaths in a mere 48 hours.
The outbreak of violence this warm Memorial Day weekend—10 fatal shootings, 40 wounded—has brought another round of media coverage about the city’s increased homicide rate in 2012, and with it some perplexing statistics. For instance:
Through Sunday, there have been at least 200 homicides compared to 134 during the same period in 2011, a 49.25 increase, according to unofficial police data.
Shootings are up nearly 14 percent over the last year through Sunday: 851 compared to 747 in 2011, according to the data.
Shootings are up slightly, homicides are way up. It’s a reminder that it’s not a one-to-one relationship. The difference between a shooting and a homicide can be a matter of inches; one of the Friday shootings was a graze wound to the head which left the victim in good condition, but a literal hair’s breadth from being another homicide. Sometimes more shootings turn out to be lethal than others. Curiously enough, despite the intensive research on murder and homicide rates in American cities, there’s virtually no research on the subject.
Let me conclude with this:
These shootings don’t involve Caucasoids.
They don’t involve Asians.
They don’t involve Mexicans or “Hispanics.”
They don’t involve Tongans.
They don’t involve Filipinos.
They don’t involve Bosnians.
They involve BLACKS.
In the city that is the epitome of Leftist/Demorat Ideology: Chicago. With more Free Cheese, corruption, money, graft, and political simpering than the mind can comprehend.
Urban black males and females exhibit a failing culture that will continue to fall and crash. And rightly so. This is nothing more than Darwinian. When you do not value yourselves — how can you possibly expect anyone else to create false value on your lives?
The strong survive. And you, urban blacks, are not strong and not deserving of survival. You have Demorats and Leftists to thank for this. It is their policies that are killing you. Day after day, month after month, year after year. Urban black males: keep shooting yourselves in the head. Leftists couldn’t care less about you. He was right about the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the need to simply abolish it.
The 9th Circuit has not come out with a new outrageous decision. They do that all the time. No, the 9th Circuit is doing something even more outrageous.
In the middle of the Great Obama Depression, the 9th Circuit is blowing a million dollars so they can have a really nice getaway at a resort in Hawaii.
Travel alone for this conference is going to cost almost $700,000. Then you have the additional expenses that go along with that, including lodging and an almost $400 a day per diem. In addition, Breitbart.com estimates that there will be another $700,000 spent in salaries for the 267 Judges during their time in Hawaii.
The 9th Circuit not only defends its expensive actions but doubles-down:
Judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals are defending their plans for a million dollar conference in Hawaii in August in the face of questions posed by two Republican senators.
In a statement issued Monday afternoon, a spokeswoman for the court said the expense to taxpayers is justifiable. “As part of the Third Branch of government, the Ninth Circuit is fully aware of its responsibilities as a steward of public funds,” she said.
She also explained that the conference is authorized by law “for the purpose of considering the business of the courts and advising means of improving the administration of justice within the circuit [28 U.S.C. Sec. 333].”
The judges claim the conference fulfills this purpose, and say that their social activities will not be paid for by taxpayers. The letter from Sens. Sessions and Grassley cite snorkeling, yoga, sailing and many other activities as part of the itinerary.
So wait — I get it now! This taxpayer debauchery is funded NOT by our taxpayer dollars but by, instead, their OWN personal and private dollars — ?
Let me copy this again: The judges claim the conference fulfills this purpose, and say that their social activities will not be paid for by taxpayers.
If this Hawaiian retreat isn’t being paid by taxpayers, or privately by all of those 9th Circuit individuals involved — then it’s perhaps paid by Red Lectroids from the 8th Dimension?

The Law of the Sea Treaty Will Sink America’s Economy by Sen Orrin Hatch, Sen John Cornyn
Americans despise taxes. After all, one of the key issues that paved the way for the American Revolution was the unfair taxation that King George III levied against the Colonies.
Now some in the US Senate want to say yes to an international tax. It would be the first time in history that an international organization would possess taxing authority, and it would amount to billions of American dollars being transferred out of the US Treasury.
The U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea, or the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) is the vehicle through which such taxes would be imposed on U.S.-based commercial enterprises.
The treaty that Reagan refused to sign in 1982 is reappearing once again in the Senate. The truth is, LOST contains numerous provisions that hurt the U.S. economy at a time when we need more jobs – not fewer.
Under the guise of being for “the good of mankind, ” LOST would obligate the United States to share information and technology in what amounts to global taxes and technology transfer requirements that are really nothing more than an attempt to redistribute U.S. wealth to the Third World.
At the center of these taxes and transfers is the International Seabed Authority (ISA), a Kingston, Jamaica based supra-national governing body established by the treaty for the purpose of redistributing cash and technology from the “developed world” to the “developing world.”
Ceding authority to the ISA would mean that the sovereignty currently held by the U.S. over the natural resources located on large parts of the continental shelf would be lost. That loss would mean lost revenue for the US government in the form of lost royalties that the U.S. government collects from the production of those resources. According to the U.S. Extended Continental Shelf Task Force, which is currently mapping the continental shelf, the resources there “may be worth billions if not trillions” of dollars.
In case proponents of LOST have not noticed, the US is over $15 trillion in debt, and we still have more than 20 million Americans who can’t find a job. The last thing we need to do redistribute funds from our country to our economic and strategic competitors.
To make matters worse, the US would have no control over how or to whom the taxes and technology would be redistributed.
Undoubtedly funds that rightfully belong to the American taxpayer would be sent to corrupt governmental regimes, make dictators wealthier, and could even be used for activities directed against the United States and our interests.
Under the treaty, the transfer of these funds does not end with nation states. These royalty revenues would even be extended to “peoples who have not attained full independence or other self-governing status.” That means groups like the Palestinian Authority and potentially other groups with terrorist ties.
Proponents of the treaty will claim that the technology transfer portion of the treaty has been significantly changed. In truth, nations with mining and resource recovery technologies like the United States will be obligated to share those technologies with Third World competitors, and that is one of the many issues, which trouble those of us opposed to the treaty.
In other words, US companies would be forced to give away the very types of innovation that historically have made our nation a world leader while fueling our economic engine.
Under the best of US economic circumstances, the Senate should say no to such an egregious breach of the trust Americans have placed in us. Our current economic struggles are all the more reason to say no to a treaty that is all cost and no benefit.
