Feds now taking names of gun-parts buyers

Clinging to God and GunsAll of you evil Second Amendment supporters, take note.

From WND.com:

by Bob Unruh

A federal raid by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on a San Diego gun-parts store chain has prompted criticism that the primary purpose of the operation was to collect the names and addresses of customers.

Despite a temporary restraining order, ATF agents obtained a search warrant and raided four Ares Armor stores over the weekend, according to San Diego’s KSWB-TV.

What the agents wanted were the stores’ computers, he wrote.

The ATF, which went to a judge privately to obtain the warrant, said it was investigating alleged violations of federal firearms laws that stemmed from the sale of a new plastic version of the 80 percent lowers of AR-15 rifles.

Building a rifle with specific versions of the 80 percent receivers is legal, the TV report explained. But the ATF said the polymer lower receiver appears to be manufactured differently with two parts, making them a firearm and illegal to sell.

But perhaps this is the crux of the biscuit:

The idea of collecting names and addresses of gun owners has been a fear of Second Amendment supporters since President Obama took office in 2009. They cite a historic pattern of governments that intend to confiscate guns establishing gun registration as a first step, to identify the owners.

Further, your loving federal government forcing you to become a felon in your own nation, because you stupidly cling to your ridiculous “gawd” and “gunz”?  Perish the thought!

Except when the threat becomes reality:

In Connecticut, a law recently was passed requiring owners of certain firearms to submit their names, addresses and fingerprints. Hundreds of thousands refused, and now the state is faced with the possibility of having a large segment of its working population classified as felons. A similar issue is developing in New York state.

This, of course, on the heels of the BATFE’s operation Fast and Furious — which resulted in the killing of USBP Agent Brian Terry — by a weapon that was allowed to flow into Mexico specifically by the BATFE.  The man who personally killed Brian Terry — is he here?

One bottom line?

In the San Diego case, the local Fox affiliate reported customers were getting nervous.

“I’m on that list,” one said, “and I’m waiting for the knock on the door to tell me they are here to remove my Second Amendment rights.”

That could never happen here, though.

Could it?

Trey Gowdy: the “Enforce the Law” Act

Isn’t it odd — and don’t you cringe — when you find that a member of our House of Representatives proposes a law that would “force” DC to obey the law?

Isn’t that the greatest of abominations you can feature?  We have to propose a law that mandates laws get obeyed?

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), proposed the ENFORCE the Law Act, which aims to bring our current Imperial Presidency into line with such heretical things as the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution.  Mr Gowdy speaks here:

The WashingtonTimes writes:

The Founders described the “long train of abuses” at the hands of a king that triggered the need for a change, in the form of a Declaration of Independence. Runaway governance is back, and President Obama is the conductor.

The Constitution set up peaceful mechanisms available today to deal with overreach that weren’t available to the revolutionaries of 1776. Today’s lawmakers must use these to brake Barack Obama’s disregard for the Constitution before that “long train” grows longer.

The House could consider as early as this week the Enforce the Law Act, granting either the House or the Senate the explicit authority to file a lawsuit against the president for failing to carry out his constitutionally mandated duty to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

It directs such lawsuits to a three-judge panel of a federal district court with appeals going directly to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, the measure’s Republican sponsor, blames Mr. Obama for the need to act. “This administration’s disregard for the law,” he says, “has reached an unprecedented level from a constitutional perspective. … This bill … will give Congress the authority to defend this branch of government as the Framers and our fellow citizens would expect.”

How is it that we seem to have found ourselves here with — on its face — such an incredibly ridiculous bill?

The clear brilliance of Barack Hussein Obama:

Just as persons pointed out the “doltishness” of George W. Bush, so I get to do the reverse for the foremost Constitutional scholar on the planet, Barack Hussein Obama — and his spelling fecundity.

From CBSLocalDC.com:

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP)O-O-P-S. President Barack Obama had a spelling blunder Thursday while praising Aretha Franklin.

Obama misspelled “respect” while lauding the “Queen of Soul” before a White House concert featuring several musical legends.

“When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her,” Obama said, before the audience in the East Room erupted into laughter. He then continued, “”She had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African-Americans, and women, and then everyone who felt marginalized because of what they looked like or who they loved. They wanted some respect. Later, when somebody asked her why it had such an impact, she said, ‘I guess everybody just wants a little respect.’ Today, they still do.”

This is the selfsame zygote who believes there are 58 total states.

Obama Socialist?  Spreading the wealth around?

Vote “different” from Hillary.  Vote Obama:

“When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking — whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia…” -mistakenly referring to Hawaii as Asia while holding a press conference outside Honolulu, Nov. 16, 2011

You can’t write this material.  Was it a line from Dennis Miller?  Uh, no.

“We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad.” —Cincinnati, OH, Sept. 22, 2011

(No, you ignoramus; it was a transcontinental railroad.  An intercontinental railroad would have the challenge of oceans.)

“We’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.” —on Wall Street reform, Quincy, Ill., April 29, 2010

After you’ve made enough money, just stop.  Say when.  But when is “when”?  And what is “enough”?

“One such translator was an American of Haitian descent, representative of the extraordinary work that our men and women in uniform do all around the world — Navy Corpse-Man Christian Brossard.” –mispronouncing “Corpsman” (the “ps” is silent) during a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, Washington, D.C., Feb. 5, 2010 (The Corpsman’s name is also Christopher, not Christian)

Indicting Mr Obama’s massive ignorance of the military and his massive dismissiveness of the military.  Perhaps the Haitian was cadaverous in nature?

“The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries.” –Tampa, Fla., Jan. 28, 2010

Or at least since 1948.

“UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems.” –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009

No comment required here.  Facts in evidence.

“The Cambridge police acted stupidly.” —commenting on a white police officer’s arrest of black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home in Cambridge, Mass., at a news conference, July 22, 2009

And there you go; an immediately-ignorant and racist comment against a highly-decorated officer which resulted in a staged “beer summit.”  Because America has the memory of a Tsetse fly.  And by the way, Gates is an avowed Socialist and Communist advocate, believes in black reparations, is a Reverend Jeremiah Wright lover.

I could go on, but it would be tedious.

Obama an “empty suit” — even Progressives agree now

Obama & a Little FascismFrom CommonDreams.org, a “Progressive” organ for the Left, “Building Progressive Community”:

What the Hell is Barack Obama’s Presidency For?

His ascent to power had meaning, but now his interventions are too rare and too piecemeal to constitute a narrative

Barack Obama has now been in power for longer than Johnson was, and the question remains: “What the hell’s his presidency for?” His second term has been characterised by a profound sense of drift in principle and policy. While posing as the ally of the immigrant he is deporting people at a faster clip than any of his predecessors; while claiming to be a supporter of labour he’s championing trade deals that will undercut American jobs and wages. In December, even as he pursued one whistleblower, Edward Snowden and kept another, Chelsea Manning, incarcerated, he told the crowd at Nelson Mandela’s funeral: “There are too many leaders who claim solidarity with Madiba’s struggle for freedom, but do not tolerate dissent from their own people.

If there was a plot, he’s lost it. If there was a point, few can remember it. If he had a big idea, he shrank it. If there’s a moral compass powerful enough to guide such contradictions to more consistent waters, it is in urgent need of being reset.

Call me wacky, but I suspect the only plot possessed by Obama was to “fundamentally transform America.”  He’s been doing an admirable job of same.

And yet, as I have out-pointed numerous times, Mr Obama is insufficiently left for the Left.

Still and all, I tend to find this rather amusing.

Unintuitive shocker — “Study: Uninsured Patients Get Better Care Than Insured

Cadillac Health Insurance -- FreeA bit counter-intuitive, yes?

From CBSWashington.com:

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – According to a recent study, severely injured patients are less likely to be transferred to a trauma center if they have health insurance.

Researchers from the Stanford University of Medicine found that patients with insurance are less likely to get the best care than those who do not have insurance. They found that insured patients taken to non-trauma hospitals were 13 to 15 percent less likely to be transferred to trauma centers than uninsured ones.

“Insured patients may, ironically, get worse outcomes because they are taken care of at a center where there’s a lower volume of resource for critically injured patients,” Dr. M. Kit Delgado, a former Stanford emergency medicine instructor, and the study’s lead author said in a press release obtained by HealthDay News.

So there you go.

Your wonderful Free Cheese at work, along with your hard-earned American Taxpayer dollars.  Screw ya for having the temerity to possess any kind of health insurance.

Wait, there goes another Illegal Mexican to a local trauma center!  Aren’t you pleased?
