Why I’m quitting the GOP

Or perhaps I should be more realistic: the GOP actually quit me.

Last night Boehner and the GOP caved.  Again.  Boehner also put off a vote for aid for victims of Sandy.  And further, here’s how stupid your US Senate was on Tuesday:

The U.S. Senate voted 89-8 to approve legislation to avoid the fiscal cliff despite having only 3 minutes to read the 154-page bill and budget score.

Multiple Senate sources have confirmed to CNSNews.com that senators received the bill at approximately 1:36 AM on Jan. 1, 2013 – a mere three minutes before they voted to approve it at 1:39 AM.

Correct.  Mr Obama’s “transparency” once more: three minutes to read a bill before a demanded vote.

And then Republicans voted.

I shake my head.  How insane is all of this?  No one knows of this abortion.  And no one seems to much care.  The DEM/MSM ignores all of it, purposely.  The American Media Maggots.

Perhaps I’ll have to craft a new logo for the DEM/MSM/AMM.

The “debt ceiling” issue is also around the corner, in roughly six to eight weeks.  Boehner will cave on that as well.  So will the rest of the GOP.

Simultaneously, it’s being trumpeted that Obama will rapidly be going for amnesty for Mexicans and gun control.  He’s on a roll.  Imagine that.  And who might the “enablers” be?

It really doesn’t matter what the GOP does any more in DC — similar to the GOP “presence” in my state, Fornicalia.  The Demorats have such a supermajority in Fornicalia that they can do what they wish when they wish, with absolute impunity.

In DC, realistically — any more — there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the Demorats and the Republicans.  They all want to be treated with deference, like little Kings and Queens.  They all want their cars and perks and pensions unsullied by such limitations as are placed on the Proles and Groundlings — you and me.

They want excoriations and limitations placed upon you and me, but with exemptions for their perfumed and coiffed personas.

I say: that shit has to die.  Throttled and garroted and shot and exsanguinated again.

I say: it won’t, if the Republicans have anything to say about it.  And they do.

Because they are in league with the Demorats in terms of fleecing the American electorate.

I am changing my registration from Republican to Independent.

My cash to the GOP stopped long ago, with a few exceptions.  My Congressman, Tom McClintock, did NOT vote with Boehner.  He gets my cash as long as he’s in office.

It’s like this:

Your house is on fire.

House On FireYou are watching TV at another friend’s home.

Your emergency is being covered by the media.

But you’re worried about the response of the fire station.

How are their rigs polished?  Are they nice and resplendent?  Do they shine?  And, moreover, when they have an open house, will they feature tri-tip as opposed to burgers?  Will you be invited?  And how many tri-tips can you consume — more than your neighbors?

Because, after all, how they respond is as important as what they mean to do.

Economist Thomas Sowell nails it:

Very pertinent quotes from Thomas Sowell:

1. “Elections should be held on April 16th — the day after we pay our income taxes.  That is one of the few things that might discourage politicians from being big spenders.”

[I have my own personal corollary: Every American should pay quarterly taxes like every business.  There should be NO “deductions” allowed from your paycheck.  That way, American taxpayers would realize just how MUCH money they pay in taxes to the federal government and — trust me — there would be a massive resulting insurrection.]

2. “If you have been voting for politicians who promise to give you goodies at someone else’s expense, then you have no right to complain when they take your money and give it to someone else, including themselves.”

[Facts in evidence, otherwise known as STFU.]

3. “I think this man (Obama) really does believe he can change the world, and people like that are inherently more dangerous than mere crooked politicians.”

[Though, I would submit, Mr Obama is also a “crooked politician.”]

4.” Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.”

[Every new leader leaning towards Socialism thinks that only HE can “do” Socialism properly.  History proves this patently false.]

5. “Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good.”

[Corollary: there’s no learning from history.]

6. “One of the consequences of such notions as ‘entitlements’ is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

[A philosophy that has been pounded into young mold-a-brains from infancy — hence: T-ball and certificates for “showing up.”]

7. “I have never understood why it is ‘greed’ to want to keep the money you’ve earned, but not greed to want to take somebody else’s money.”

[Because this is a concept that is clearly beyond the ken of most American idiot voters whose day revolves around vacuosity such as Honey Boo Boo and Tweeting.]

8. “If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labeled a radical 60 years ago, a liberal 30 years ago and a racist today.”

[The efficacy of new public Leftist schooling clearly at work.]

9. “It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”

[That would be: generally, most everyone in every form of government., including administrators, judges, magistrates.  I have always maintained that not nearly enough government bureaucrats are killed, raped, sodomized, fleeced, cut with knives, stabbed, had their entire savings plans emptied, lost their homes to government fiat.  They represent an elite class that consistently maintains an unaffected mien behind gates, fences, protective rings, large sedans and SUVs, and purposely so.  Bottom line: until they hurt when we hurt, nothing will ever change.]

And that, Mr Sowell, would define the average DC politician.

We can learn, ladies and gentlemen, from the wise words of Mr Sowell.

Eric Holder sets ADA Nazis on Sacramento Public Library:

And he can also purposely choose to not prosecute Black Panthers who intimidated voters in Philadelphia because of their rmelanin counts.

But even more importantly, Mr Holder’s DOJ has decided it’s critical to go after a public library for loaning E-book readers.  No kidding.

From CNSNews.com:

The U.S. Justice Department says it has reached a settlement with the Sacramento (California) Public Library over a trial program the library was conducting that let patrons borrow Barnes and Noble NOOK e-book readers.

DOJ and the National Federation of the Blind objected to the program on grounds that blind people could not use the NOOK e-readers for technological reasons.

So because a blind person cannot use a NOOK, it’s time to make sure that NO ONE in a Sacramento public library can use a NOOK?

In the land of Mr Holder’s DOJ, the answer is short: correct.

Your friendly, neighborhood ADA Nazis, once again, at work.

And friends, please remember, when people say “Hey, it’s not about the cash!” — you can rest assured it is ALL about the CASH, at least with Scott Johnson.
