Scientists Ask Obama To Prosecute Global Warming Skeptics

The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.
Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.”
This is not a new concept. One of the most oppressed of European nations in terms of freedom of speech, the UK, embraced a BBC policy which disallows any refutation of Global Warming whatsoever in 2014. The report is here for all to see.
RICO was a law designed to take down organized crime syndicates, but some scientists now want it to be used against those “other” scientists, activists and organizations that voice their disagreement with the so-called “consensus” on global warming. The scientists repeated claims made by environmentalists that groups, especially those with ties to fossil fuels, have engaged in a misinformation campaign to confuse the public on global warming.
RICO stands for “Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization.”
People who are either skeptical of climate change, Global Warming or even dare to investigate or question the science of any of this fall into the potential categories of heretics — to be burned alive at the digital written or spoken stake.
By American Leftists. American “Scientific” Leftists.
Because, bottom line, a lot of big political grant dollars are at stake, sourced from the DC pig trough.
I call Global Warming proponents the Religious Left, meaning: despite statistics or facts or a sufficient amount of leverage, they believe because they simply want to believe. Leftists completely eschew religion except when it involves Global Warming or “climate change.” Hence: the Religious Left.
Newsflash. “Climate change” occurs every year. It’s hot as hell in the summer and cold in the winter. Certain portions of the US get dumped-on for rain and snow, certain portions get their asses kicked with drought. It is cyclical. Humans haven’t occupied the planet for a sufficient amount of time to accurately predict or even place these cycles. We have a few hundred years of statistics.
The planet has been around for 4.543 billion years.
I bet we’ve had a few more repetitive cycles that could be — ahem — predictable.
“The actions of these organizations have been extensively documented in peer-reviewed academic research and in recent books,” the scientists wrote.
Of course. Etched in stone.
It only gets better, by way of Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse.
“We strongly endorse Senator Whitehouse’s call for a RICO investigation,” the scientists wrote to Obama. “The methods of these organizations are quite similar to those used earlier by the tobacco industry. A RICO investigation (1999 to 2006) played an important role in stopping the tobacco industry from continuing to deceive the American people about the dangers of smoking.”
“If corporations in the fossil fuel industry and their supporters are guilty of the misdeeds that have been documented in books and journal articles, it is imperative that these misdeeds be stopped as soon as possible so that America and the world can get on with the critically important business of finding effective ways to restabilize the Earth’s climate, before even more lasting damage is done,” the scientists added.
Guilty of “misdeeds.” As interpreted or judged just by whom?
Oh right. Leftists.
Because Leftists aren’t judgmental at all:

Of course. Because Leftists are so understanding and assuaging and incredibly inclusive and embracing of diversity.

The scandal of fiddled global warming data
The US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record

When future generations try to understand how the world got carried away around the end of the 20th century by the panic over global warming, few things will amaze them more than the part played in stoking up the scare by the fiddling of official temperature data. There was already much evidence of this seven years ago, when I was writing my history of the scare, The Real Global Warming Disaster. But now another damning example has been uncovered by Steven Goddard’s US blog Real Science, showing how shamelessly manipulated has been one of the world’s most influential climate records, the graph of US surface temperature records published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Goddard shows how, in recent years, NOAA’s US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) has been “adjusting” its record by replacing real temperatures with data “fabricated” by computer models. The effect of this has been to downgrade earlier temperatures and to exaggerate those from recent decades, to give the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is justified by the actual data. In several posts headed “Data tampering at USHCN/GISS”, Goddard compares the currently published temperature graphs with those based only on temperatures measured at the time. These show that the US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record; whereas the latest graph, nearly half of it based on “fabricated” data, shows it to have been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century.

Because Global Warming as a general meme had difficulty to the point that it became the very generic “Climate Change,” so is this meme having difficulty in standing up to the light of day. And the largest launcher of the so-called “Global Warming” craze taken up by the Religious Left: the poor white bear on the itty-bitty ice shard:
Poor polar bear. Brutalized and reduced to riding an ice cube due to that Evil Man. And thusly anthropogenic Global Warming was born.
Leftists don’t believe in religion because they don’t believe in God. The only god they bow to is that of Global Warming, which requires every bit of faith or more to believe in than an overarching deity. Hence the Religious Left dutifully believe in GW because other Leftists say so and it’s emphasized by those who likewise buy into the meme, as in teachers, major networks, Alphonse Gore, Demorats and other on the GW Bandwagon. A bandwagon that requires only faith, not consistent and true facts.

On that notion, the US Supreme Court — just today — placed limits on the EPA’s ability to decry “Global Warming” and kill coal.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday placed limits on the sole Obama administration program already in place to deal with power plant and factory emissions of gases blamed for global warming.
The justices said that the Environmental Protection Agency lacks authority in some cases to force companies to evaluate ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This rule applies when a company needs a permit to expand facilities or build new ones that would increase overall pollution. Carbon dioxide is the chief gas linked to global warming.

Besides, if you really wanted to stop “Global Warming,” which Leftists believe is solely due to the rise of carbon dioxide emissions — the byproduct of human beings — then kill all the people. Because the Religious Left say people are therefore responsible, I say: you first.
