That’s some of the helpful advice in a new instructional video from the Department of Homeland Security that was posted on the agency’s Web site just a month after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
“If you are caught out in the open and cannot conceal yourself or take cover, you might consider trying to overpower the shooter with whatever means are available,” says the narrator in the video, which shows an office worker pulling scissors out of a desk drawer.
Frankly, I’m surprised that warm, soothing and conciliatory words weren’t proffered as a first line of defense.
Once again, proof of the sheer Idiocracy endemic in DC.
I wish my sheriff were one of these involved but, on the Left Coast, it’s a Death Knell if you make anything other than a 100% PC statement regarding the issue. Better yet, staying completely silent is the best option — as is his default here. The state of Fornicalia is controlled by Leftists who solely vote Demorat — as the Supermajority in Sacramento testifies. My Sheriff, as of this writing, is conspicuously absent from the list below.
Again, historically, Sheriff’s have the ability to make the logical argument as being the true foundations of local US law enforcement.

As of this publishing, I find it disheartening that there are only 12 Texas Sheriffs on the list, whilst there are 17 Fornicalia Sheriffs on the list — considering there are only 58 counties in Fornicalia, and there are 254 in Texas. I submit: as goes Fornicalia so go Leftists. But, on the other hand, as goes Texas so go Conservatives.
I can certainly account for the larger Fornicalia county Sheriffs not being listed here: they have massive populations in urban areas primarily consisting of those dependent upon government Free Cheese largesse, with greater gang activity, higher “minority” loads (though, in Fornicalia, the Caucasoid is in truth the statisticalminority), and held accountable to a Leftist Voting Block.
I applaud this outlook. I think he should look inward first. Here is where he could start:
– Abandon his shredding of the US Constitution, starting with his 2nd Amendment attacks;
– Consider an entire revamping of his cabinet, including the elimination of cabinet positions to include the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, the Department of Homeland Security. This is just a start;
– Press for the Truth In Bills Act, which would limit each bill to one topic and no riders;
– Press for the Equal Applications Act, which makes the measures of each and every bill passed into law equally applicable to every individual in the federal and other governments;
– Press for the Bill Funding Act, which would make it illegal to divert money earmarked for a specific bill to any other fund, budget, for any reason;
– Press for the Tort Reform Act, which includes two very simple words: loser pays;
– Press for the Energy Independence Act, which would develop our own national oil fields, approve the Keystone XL pipeline, approve drilling in ANWR, off our coasts (and not so far out and deep that we ask for another BP disaster); foster tax credits for the building of new electrical generation infrastructure to include updated coal, oil and nuclear stations, as well as new water projects, coastal desalinization plants, and new oil refinery construction;
Of course, this is just a start.
But no. Fear not. Mr Obama will not go there.
His goal: to bring this country down to the level of its lessers, to remove its sovereignty, and make it “pay” for what he called its colonial past.
To Mr Obama, I say: check your own irresponsible behavior; turn that alleged superior intellect inward first.
Secretary of State — soon to be former — Hillary Clinton “testified” at a hearing on Wednesday, providing essentially no further insight into the attack on the Benghazi consulate in Libya back on September 11th of 2012.
Because, after all, “what difference does it make?”

And you just contravened yourself. Your deflection of the key issue bespeaks volumes about you, ma’am. YOU are responsible — as you already admitted. It occurred on your watch. And, so, why weren’t the embassies and consulates and, in particular, the Benghazi Consulate on the highest of alert on that very important date and — further — why were additional security updates and the adding of security personnel for Benghazi refused for that station? No, not ignored; actually refused. It was not an issue of budget; that response is specious and incorrect. Did you not read the cables? Did you not read the requests for help? Why was there no Marine presence? Where in the hell were the Marines? There was a 16-personnel security system turned down. This was, literally, a War Zone. It is inexcusable. We had the resources. And we didn’t deploy them. I submit: PURPOSELY.
And you take the easy “broken female” way out: the Waterworks. Shameful.
Clinton did nothing but pontificate and insult not only her position but the entire political system in DC as well as all of the citizens of the United States — who deserve clear and truthful answers. She attempted jousting; she attempted witty reparte; she attempted, for five-and-a-half hours, to deflect as much as possible to some GOP questioners who couldn’t conduct a half-witted interview or interrogation for Lagos PD in Nigeria, much less sit in an open Congressional session and pose cogently crafted, logical questions in succession. The GOP had, quite literally, FOUR MONTHS to prepare for this session.
There is nobody in custody. There is no apparent investigation continuing. We have a right to know the answers to all our questions. Are we adequately protecting our embassies? Our consulates? In war zones?

Which makes me ask: does anyone actually want to get to the bottom of the four deaths in Benghazi?
Because this — this farce, this Kabuki Theater — is eliciting nothing valuable for the nation, its citizens, its taxpayers. Which tells me: we’ll learn nothing from this. So the bottom line becomes: four American citizens died for no reason whatsoever.
