The Obama Administration knows it’s tanking our economy, and is preparing for the resulting civil insurrection:

First, Homeland Security purchased half a billion rounds of .40 caliber ammunition; I already covered these news items here on Bloviating Zeppelin:

And now, the SSA is getting into the Ammo Game as well:

Social Security Administration To Purchase 174 Thousand Rounds Of Hollow Point Bullets

First it was the Department of Homeland Security, then it was the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and now the Social Security Administration is set to purchase 174,000 rounds of hollow point bullets that will be delivered to 41 locations across the country.

A solicitation posted by the SSA on the FedBizOpps website asks for contractors to supply 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition.”

An online ammunition retailer describes the bullets as suitable “for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns,” noting that the ammo is “a great personal defense bullet.”

The synopsis to the solicitation adds that the ammunition is to be shipped to 41 locations within 60 days of purchase. A separate spreadsheet lists those locations, which include the Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland as well as major cities across the country including Los Angeles, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Seattle.

And what are those locations?

Why yes, those are the largest cities where the Demorats Rule and where there are more persons, per square inch, sucking off the Federal Government Nipple.

What does that tell you about these preparations?  That is this:

Your loving federal government is anticipating having to shoot or kill those very persons it taught to love sucking off that selfsame nipple.

Just a tad wee bit of irony, wouldn’t you posit?

How about some additional points of interest:

– As reported, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has put out a contract for 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets along with 500 paper targets.

– This was followed by another DHS solicitation asking for a further 750 million rounds of assorted bullets, including .357 magnum caliber rounds that are able to penetrate walls.

– The DHS recently put out an order for riot gear in preparation for the upcoming DNC, RNC and presidential inauguration. The U.S. Army is also busy buying similar equipment.

– The DHS also recently purchased a number of bullet-proof checkpoint booths that include ‘stop and go’ lights.

This literally screams some rather revealing factual points to me, that no one seems to be either interested in or able to “connect.”

If the Obama Administration were truly as proudly confident of its own budgetary and economic policies as it boasts, it would find no reason whatsoever to arm itself against its own citizenry — because said citizens would be soothed and calmed by the salving effects of the aforementioned policies.

Instead, we have the federal government ramping up domestic federal armaments whose only possible purpose can be to stem civil insurrection.  Specifically: to shoot, wound or kill citizens of the United States on US soil.

Let me take this one step further in terms of my applying what I term the Logical Extension:

The Obama Administration isn’t stupid.  It is highly educated, plotting, planning, and does nothing that hasn’t been considered, massaged and vetted.  It micro-manages to the point where Mr Obama seldom speaks without a TelePrompter.

Which tells me: the Obama Administration full well knows its economic policies are unworkable and unsustainable.  It is therefore anticipating the resulting national panic and chaos.

Which yields the bottom line: Mr Obama and his surrounding personnel are purposely doing their very level best to enable the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

I can draw no other conclusion, considering the facts in evidence.

Finally, the GOP stands up: the House sues AG Eric Holder for stonewalling Fast & Furious documents

House Republicans on Monday asked the federal courts to intervene and force the Obama administration to turn over documents from the botched Fast and Furious gun-walking operation, escalating what had been a simmering constitutional crisis.

House Speaker John A. Boehner said President Obama and his team were ignoring a congressional subpoena — something the courts have long recognized as valid — and said lawmakers were left with no choice but to ask the third branch to referee.

“By stonewalling Congress and ignoring a contempt order, the Justice Department has left the House no choice but to take legal action so we can get to the bottom of the Fast and Furious operation that cost border agent Brian Terry his life,” Mr. Boehner said.

Time and again Mr Obama and his administration has ignored the law when it is convenient for them to do so.  The AG has managed to ignore voter fraud and intimidation yet sued Arizona for doing the job that the federal government is tasked with.

Mr Obama has repeated said his administration would be the most “transparent” ever, yet history and facts prove it is indeed one of the most opaque:

In a bipartisan vote in June the House held Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over documents the House had subpoenaed as part of its official investigation.

The White House, which had first said it would try to work out a way to release the documents and said they didn’t show anything incriminating, later reversed course and claimed executive privilege prevented them from having to release the information.

The bottom line is: had this been a Republican White House and Attorney General, the hue and cry would have been advanced months ago and said AG would be out on his or her ass.  But because Eric Holder is black, covered by Mr Obama in the White House, he remains in office.

Mr Holder has proven that he is a racist himself, on multiple occasions, with his suits and perhaps more pointedly, his purposeful ignorance of actions that demand suit.

Mr Holder needs to be relieved of office and the documents released.

Obama: “Let’s repeat auto industry success with every manufacturing industry.”

Sometimes Mr Obama is so incredibly, ridiculously obtuse and trenchant that he becomes nothing more than a parody of himself, and this is clearly one of those times.

I don’t even have to ask you the question, I’ll simply provide you with the answer up front: YES, Mr Obama IS this stupid.

PUEBLO, Colo. – President Obama, while villifying Mitt Romney for opposing the auto industry bailout, bragged about the success of his decision to provide government assistance and said he now wants to see every manufacturing industry come roaring back.

“I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry.

“I don’t want those jobs taking root in places like China, I want those jobs taking root in places like Pueblo,” Obama told a crowd gathered for a campaign rally at the Palace of Agriculture at the Colorado State Fairgrounds here.

The proof:

Obama: “And GM is number one again.”

Really, Mr Obama?  Let there be NO mistake: that would fall into the category of a bald-faced LIE.

Here’s the truth:

You know who came roaring back — but in truth never left?  Why yes, that would be the Ford Motor Company, as they didn’t take a DIME of Mr Obama’s money.  Because of this, does Mr Obama support and promote Ford?

No.  Not Ford.  GM.

Chrysler, in the meantime, was abandoned by Daimler and then purchased by Fiat.

Remember the dealerships?  Remember the dealerships completely kicked to the curb?  Remember the resulting hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dealership employees and salesmen and service personnel who got kicked to the curb?

In fact, RACE played a role in the closure of dealerships:

The Obama administration, already under fire for unprecedented allegations of racial bias, faces a new bias claim from a most unlikely source: one of the administration’s own inspectors general.

Decisions on which car dealerships to close as part of the auto industry bailout — closures the Obama administration forced on General Motors and Chrysler — were based in part on race and gender, according to a report by Troubled Asset Relief Program Special Inspector General Neal M. Barofsky.
[D]ealerships were retained because they were recently appointed, were key wholesale parts dealers, or were minority- or woman-owned dealerships. [Emphasis added.]
Thus, to meet numbers forced on them by the Obama administration, General Motors and Chrysler were forced to shutter other, potentially more viable, dealerships. The livelihood of potentially tens of thousands of families was thus eliminated simply because their dealerships were not minority- or woman-owned.

Somehow, conveniently, we seem to have forgotten these recent times so that we might hoist the Pretending Black Man into another presidential term.

Let’s talk about the Chevrolet Volt.  The car that won’t sell.  No matter the incentive.  Because it won’t run more than 30 miles on its batteries.  GM Volt purchases made by government?

Let’s talk about the mass purchases made by your federal government of GM.  Because GM is protected and supported by the Obama administration.

Let’s talk about GM selling the fewest number of cars this year.

And about its June sales: to mostly FEDERAL agencies:

General Motors announced this month its auto sales increased by 16 percent in June, its best monthly sales gain since 2008. Considering all the company has been through, and the fact that it still owes taxpayers approximately $25 billion in TARP repayments, a 16 percent boost in sales sounds like good news, right?

Who knows? With consumers buying up all these cars, maybe GM can reestablish itself as an auto heavyweight, shareholders will finally get to see a return on their investments, and President Obama will have something to brag about on the campaign trail.

Not so fast.

As it turns out, there’s a big reason GM experienced an increase in sales last month: “government purchases of GM vehicles rose a whopping 79% in June,” according to the National Legal and Policy Center’s Mark Modica.

Seriously?

“Overall fleet sales (which are typically less profitable than retail sales) at Government Motors rose a full 36% for the month, helping to drive decent sales improvements year over year,” Modica reports.

GM now offers “financing” to sub-prime buyers.

Worst cars, worst financing?

To enable our predicament to occur all over again?

Todd Starnes on Tuesday’s Tom Sullivan show: OBAMA IS PLANNING TO REFUSE DEPORTATION OF ILLEGALS ACROSS THE BOARD

I was listening to the Tom Sullivan show on Tuesday afternoon.

He featured Fox News writer Todd Starnes.  Go here for the reference article.

As per the article of Mr Starnes, ICE management, under direct political pressure from the Obama Administration, has decided to suspend an ICE agent for doing nothing more than HIS JOB.

Because his upper management has, frankly, no guts and no logic.  They do have, however, individual hopes of climbing further up their own administrative ladder — and logic and law be damned.

As I said to all of my trainees when I first became an FTO in 1984: “if it is fiscally or politically expedient, you will be sacrificed.  Do not love your department, because it will never love you.”

From the article of Mr Starnes:

“A veteran Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent is facing suspension after he refused to release an illegal immigrant who was not considered a priority target under the Obama Administration’s new immigration enforcement policies, according to documents provided exclusively to Fox News.

Translated: a veteran ICE agent faces a suspension for enforcing laws on the books via USC.

“They’re punishing law enforcement officers who are just trying to uphold U.S. law,” said Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council. Crane is a union representative acting on the unidentified officer’s behalf.

The officer under fire is an 18-year law enforcement and military veteran.”

“A memorandum from Assistant Field Office Director David O’Neill, written the morning of the incident, reveals that the officers were told to release the subject even though he was in the country illegally.

The officer “became agitated and began to raise his voice and stated that he would not do as instructed,” O’Neill wrote in his memo.

As a result of disobeying the order to release a known criminal, the officer faces a three-day suspension and could ultimately lose his job and pension if he arrests another illegal not on the Obama administration’s priority list.”

Let me make this clear: a POLICY vs a LAW.

Apparently, a transient policy takes precedence over an immured law.  And semantics, of course, come into play:

A spokesman for ICE told Fox News they will not discuss “ongoing personnel matters.”

“ICE officers are not disciplined for lawful arrests,” the spokesperson said. “They may, however, be subject to discipline for insubordination and failure to follow agency polices and directives, among other reasons.”

Ironically, the illegal alien in this particular incident was given better treatment than an American citizen would have been in similar circumstances.

A spokesman for the Newark Police Dept. told Fox News that if an American had been stopped on the same charges – they would have been put in jail. The spokesman said officers would have let the judge sort out the details.

Crane said that’s the way it used to be – until President Obama loosened restrictions on illegal immigrants.

Imagine that.  Mr Obama pandering for Mexican votes.  Not French votes, not Ethiopian votes, not Sri Lankan votes, not Canadian votes — oh no.  Votes from Mexicans.  From Mexico.  Because they comprise the BULK of illegal invaders.  Imagine that.  Those persons on our southern border who wish to escape a corrupt, violent, backwards, emotional country.

And by those who wish to IMPORT those tendencies SOLELY for the purpose of padding votes proffered on the behalf of Free Cheese.

The orders are very clear:

Crane said agents in the field disputed the idea of prosecutorial discretion.

“This whole prosecutorial discretion thing is a big lie,” he said. “The administration is trying to say it gives us more flexibility to release people. It’s garbage. These are orders – very clear orders that you will release people.”

The points are:

“We can’t do anything anymore under these new guidelines,” he added. “

As a result, he said, an 18-year law enforcement veteran has to pay the price — and somewhere in the nation, a 35-year-old illegal immigrant is driving on a roadway without a license.

“If a law enforcement officer can’t perform routine enforcement functions, what do we have a law enforcement agency for,” Crane wondered.

An excellent question.  But a final observation:

Todd Starnes also let the “cat” out of the proverbial bag.  He was reluctant to reveal that another source had made a major indication, and that is this:

To this point, Mr Obama is planning to stop deportation altogether in the coming week.  Essentially: an amnesty.  And I can only forecast: for votes.

But now, because Mr Starnes made this plan public, I say: we shall see.

We shall see.

If so, it would be the worst possible move imaginable during a presidential campaign.

Gun confiscation? Violence UP! Just ask Australia and the United Kingdom:

In the past month there have two major US incidents which one again focused attention on firearms by those determined to remove guns from the American public.

Liberal billionaire and mayor, Michael Bloomberg, has pulled amazing anti-gun fecal material out of his ass from these incidents.  Go here and here.  He can afford to do this.  He has his own security force both afforded by NYPD and privately.  He is transported by armored limousine.  His home is protected by state-of-the-art security systems.

I suspect that yours is not.  I know that mine is not.

In truth, Bloomberg refuses to acknowledge the fact that he has, per capita, THE largest police force in the entire nation in terms of citizen-to-cop ratios.

Go here for the NYC Homicide Map, which breaks down stats by year, race, sex, weapon and borough.  NYC homicides between 2003 and 2011?  4,161.  US troops killed in Iraq?  4,414.  NYC kills more people than does a purposeful war in a foreign country.  The Iraq war began in 2001, as a gentle reminder.

There’s your firearm ban efficacy, Mayor Bloomberg.  And yet you continue to rail again and again against firearms.  You cannot see the abject failure of your stance in the city with the hardest line against guns in the entire nation.  There were 193 murders in just the first six months of your administration this year, Mr Bloomberg.  At a time when major crime is DOWN across the nation.  YOUR COPS have helped make YOU look good, Mayor Bloomberg.  Yet you continue to spout off about gun control.

Plus, we haven’t even addressed the issue in Chicago.

John Avlon writes in The Daily Beast:

As the sun rose Sunday, New York City hit a remarkable milestone, recording just 193 murders in the first six months of the year. In that same span, more than 250 murders were recorded in Chicago—a city just one third as large.

Of course, Chicago sports rampant gun control as well.

Chicago hasn’t seen murders at this pace since 2003, when the city suffered 283 homicides by the end of June, and 601 over the year.  The violence that began to explode in neighborhoods across this city this spring represents a 36 percent increase in murder over the same stretch of last year.

But here’s the deal: NYPD instigated “stop and frisk.”  That stance is being attacked.  Yet it clearly yields:

New York City’s historic success comes at a time of increased critical scrutiny of the NYPD and its commissioner, Ray Kelly.  Last month, the NAACP held a silent street protest to draw attention to its demand that the controversial “stop and frisk” policy be ended. In addition, there have been allegations of widespread padding of crime statistics.

Padding stats in CompStat, in NYPD?  Perish the thought!

But here is the proverbial Turd In The Punchbowl — the proverbial Cat Down The Toilet:

The fact that homicide rates in New York and most big cities have continued to decline during the Great Recession is itself a notable refutation of the “root cause” theory of crime long cherished by liberals —namely, that crime was an inevitable byproduct of tough economic times and income inequality, solvable only by welfare-state schemes. It turns out that proactive quality-of-life policing, stemming from the Broken Windows theory, ultimately does far more to reduce violence and save lives, especially in inner-city neighborhoods. The current Harlem renaissance is Exhibit A in this national evolution.

In the UK, it’s too little, too late:

Once again, governmental confiscations under the guise of “banning fox hunting.”

You can clearly see how well it’s working for both the UK and Australia.

Ladies and gentlemen, per Robert Heinlein, do you truly Grok this?

Crime is DOWN in America.  Gun violence is, overall, DOWN in America.

Yet, DESPITE THIS, government believes it MUST enact even GREATER restrictions on guns in the hands of lawful citizens.

I can only reach one conclusion: this is PURPOSEFUL.

It has NOTHING to do with actual VIOLENCE.

It has EVERYTHING to do with governmental CONTROL.

Hello?

Indian government officials and Sikh leaders across India were outraged by the attack that left 6 dead, including 4 Indian nationals, at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee and called on the U.S. to do more to protect Sikhs living in the United Sates. Clinton called Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna from her stop in South Africa Monday after Krishna criticized the U.S. for failed policies and a growing trend of violent incidents against religious minorities.
