John Kerry: the Islamic State is not Islamic
Proving once and for all that John Kerry is clinically insane.
From FoxNews.com:
Islamic State not Islamic? Kerry, Obama questioned over ISIS claims
Secretary of State John Kerry insisted Thursday that the Islamic State is not Islamic, underscoring the effort to distinguish the terror group from mainstream Muslims – but also causing consternation that the administration may once again be underplaying the threat of radical Islam.
“They’re not a state, and they do not represent Islam,” Kerry said in testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Of course. ISIS or ISIL does not represent Islam any more than George Soros represents Leftist cash.
Or crocodiles represent teeth.
“Islam is as Islam does” — as I have insisted for years — exists because it happens to be a fundamental truism.
Kerry almost became judgmental for a moment, but corrected himself thankfully:
At several points during the hearing, Kerry sought to describe the group in other terms. He called them a “militant cult masquerading as a religious movement.” At another point in the hearing, he used the phrase “Islamic radical groups” but immediately corrected himself.
“Islamic is the wrong word — radical religious extremists,” he clarified.
Thanks for the clarification.

Boots on the ground against ISIS?
Check this out:
General Martin E. Dempsey, Charmain of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, responds to Senator Lindsay Graham in a senate hearing.
Question: will Obama actually commit to boots on the ground again in the Middle East?
Yes? No? He has in fact ordered boots on the ground, but not with regard to ISIS. Instead, with regard to Ebola. A laudable idea; expose our 3,000 warriors to a disease with a 90% fatality rate.
Boots on the ground?
His generals say so. He says no. Mr Obama is quite insistent about this.
Hello? (taps microphone)

Mexico tells Texas to lay off the National Guard — or else
From FoxNews.com:
Mexican president condemns Texas’ decision to deploy National Guard along border
MEXICO CITY – Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto says Texas’ decision to deploy National Guard troops along the border is “unpleasant” and “reprehensible.”
Last month’s deployment had previously drawn Mexico’s ire. It says the border should not be militarized and issues should be solved jointly.
In an interview with the newspaper El Universal published Friday, Pena Nieto said Texas’ move could affect bilateral relations.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry has criticized border security and suggested last month that Islamic terrorists could be entering the U.S. from Mexico, a charge Mexico has dismissed as “absurd.”
Let’s see: Boko Haram, ISIS or al Qaeda having to get their ankles moist via the Rio Grande, or trying to enter via other methods? I think I know the answer of ISIS et al. Besides, it’s already occurred. And the feds themselves are warning of Islamist border incursions! There is already clear evidence of Muslims having entered the US via our southern border.
Nieto is perturbed that his citizens cannot cross the border in order to acquire their share of Free American Cheese and either stay or come back readily. Clearly, it is onerous to enforce one’s borders and attempt some semblance of sovereignty.
Sorry Mr Nieto; you’re dealing with Rick Perry, and he doesn’t much care for hypocrisy.
