Expert Testifies to Congress that Obama’s ‘Ignoring Laws’ Could Lead to Overthrow of Government

White House ExplosionI was planning two specific posts for today and tomorrow, when the above headline caught my eye.  I bring that article to you now, from MediaIte.com:

by Noah Rothman

During a congressional committee hearing about the constitutional limits imposed on the presidency and the implications of President Barack Obama’s disregard for implementing the Affordable Care Act as written, one expert testified that the consequences of the president’s behavior were potentially grave. He said that the precedent set by Obama could eventually lead to an armed revolt against the federal government.

Apparently one person, named Michael Cannon, seems to “get it.”  Continuing:

On Tuesday, Michael Cannon, Cato Institute’s Director of Health Policy Studies, testified before a congressional committee about the dangers of the president’s legal behavior.

“There is one last thing to which the people can resort if the government does not respect the restraints that the constitution places on the government,” Cannon said. “Abraham Lincoln talked about our right to alter our government or our revolutionary right to overthrow it.”

And, in concert with Lincoln, JFK said:

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

 Mr Cannon’s most important sentence:

“If the people come to believe that the government is no longer constrained by the laws, then they will conclude that neither are they.”

I have written, essentially, the same thing before on this very blog, but with regard to illegal immigration.  Now, we have the additional issue of ObamaKare.

Michael F. Cannon is the Director of Health Policy Studies for the Cato Institute think tank.  Check their site here.

Mr Cannon also spoke to Glenn Beck about the unaccountability of Kathleen Sebelius, the Arrogant Bitch that she is:

Do you believe that?  If Obama fired Sebelius, he would have to nominate a new HHS secretary to be confirmed by the Senate.  The confirmation hearings would be a “bloodbath.”  And all the powers of the ACA would fall to her.  Except now?  It is a filibuster-LESS Senate.  51 votes.

I already posted on Michael Cannon writing about Kathleen Sebelius shaking down companies she regulates for ObamaKare.

Unpacking Mr Cannon’s words from above: as I wrote a number of times earlier with regard to illegal immigrants and the government’s decision to NOT enforce laws on the books —

If the government can decide to avoid and disregard its own laws — essentially picking and choosing which laws it wishes to enforce (without eliminating those laws statutorily) — then what keeps any other actual citizen from deciding to pick and choose which laws he or she wishes to obey when they become inconvenient?

If Mr Obama disregards the law, then why should Americans keep the law?

You tell me.

The ACA Obamabortion coming in January of 2014:

ObamaKare SpouseWonkbook: 40 percent of Obamacare’s IT isn’t even built yet

Posted by Ezra Klein and Evan Soltas

HealthCare.gov is still 40 percent unfinished. “The chief digital architect for the federal health insurance marketplace said Tuesday that 30 percent to 40 percent of the project was still being built. The official, Henry Chao, made the assessment in testimony before a panel of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Lawmakers expressed surprise that so much work remained to be done seven weeks after the federal website opened to the public. Mr. Chao, the deputy chief information officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said the government was still working on “back office systems,” including those needed to pay insurance companies that are supposed to provide coverage to millions of people under President Obama’s health care law. “We have yet — we still have to build the financial management aspects of the system, which includes our accounting system and payment system and reconciliation system,” Mr. Chao said. These parts of the system, he said, are “still being developed and tested.”” Robert Pear in The New York Times.

Despite Mr Barack Hussein Obama’s personal promise that the ACA site would be fully functional by the latter part of November.

It is not.

And I am in keeping with my own personal promise to never link the two words “president” with “Obama” since 2008.  I am nothing if but a man of my word.

Mr Obama has created a littered trail of broken promises for not only the last few years, but specifically with regard to his ACA.

The front end of the site wouldn’t work.

Now, the back end of the site is guaranteed not to work, according to digital professionals.

Which means this:

Those who signed up for ObakaKare within its stringent limits may find themselves as completely unknown quotients, come January of 2014.

Because the back end of the ACA failed to connect to the various health care providers so linked.

Can you imagine those persons, expecting themselves covered, going into an office and finding they are not?  Can you imagine the frustration, the anger, the sense and feeling of betrayal?

Get a grasp of that sense.  Because it is coming.

Further, from CNBC.com:

No security ever built into Obamacare site: Hacker

by Matthew J. Belvedere

It could take a year to secure the risk of “high exposures” of personal information on the federal Obamacare online exchange, a cybersecurity expert told CNBC on Monday.

“When you develop a website, you develop it with security in mind. And it doesn’t appear to have happened this time,” said David Kennedy, a so-called “white hat” hacker who tests online security by breaching websites. He testified on Capitol Hill about the flaws of HealthCare.gov last week.

“It’s really hard to go back and fix the security around it because security wasn’t built into it,” said Kennedy, chief executive of TrustedSec. “We’re talking multiple months to over a year to at least address some of the critical-to-high exposures on the website itself.”

According to the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversaw the implementation of the website, the components used to build the site are compliant with standards set by Federal security authorities.

“The privacy and security of consumers’ personal information are a top priority for us. Security testing happens on an ongoing basis using industry best practices to appropriately safeguard consumers’ personal information,” said the spokesperson.

Another online security expert—who spoke at last week’s House hearing and then on CNBC—said the federal Obamacare website needs to be shut down and rebuilt from scratch. Morgan Wright, CEO of Crowd Sourced Investigations said: “There’s not a plan to fix this that meets the sniff test of being reasonable.”

Imagine your chagrin.

Imagine you had input a massive amount of your personal information into the healthcare.gov site, and you were stonewalled for minutes or hours or perhaps days.  No telling.

Then imagine your chagrin when you discover you are not covered because the “back end” of the ACA site didn’t manage to communicate with the insurance provider you chose.

Obamacare: deconstructed

Two extremely important videos to watch (thanks Geeeez) regarding the facts and fallacies of Obamacare.

The second video has Paul Ryan shredding Obamacare in a mere six minutes.

Yet Obamacare was thrust through literally in the dead of night, on a weekend, with purely partisan support.  Not even one Republican — despite the plethora of RINOs within — voted for Obamacare.

Obamacare killed individual and private plans this year.  In 2014 my health insurance coverage will get killed, via my employer.

This is perfectly in keeping with Mr Obama’s plan to place the US government into the Single Payer framework, enabling the government to control over 1/6th of the entire economy.

He’s going to “Cloward-Piven” the entire nation, starting with healthcare first.

Obama Off With Their Coverage

Finally: Mr Obama admits his philosophy revolves around Roger Ebert

This past week Mr Obama spoke in Hollywood, campaigning as he was for not much in particular.  As is Mr Obama’s bent, “when the going gets tough, I get to campaigning.”  Start making more of that coin, Mr Obama.  That’s all you know.  Hit the campaign trail.

The going has, of course, been somewhat tough, since it appears that Mr Obama is under a bit more scrutiny as of late.  Obamacare.  Iran.  Lying.  You know; small stuff like that.  Ahem.

From TheWrap.com:

President Obama defended his policies during an economic address at the DreamWorks Animation campus on Tuesday — including his struggling health care reform — by quoting the late film critic (and fellow Chicagoan) Roger Ebert.

“I was fortunate enough to get to know Roger, and was always inspired by how he handled some really tough stuff,” Obama said. “He said, ‘Kindness covers all of my political beliefs.’ … When I think about what I’m fighting for, what gets me up every single day — that captures it.”

I find it intriguing that, only now, Mr Obama releases information indicating his entire philosophy revolves around a Chicago film critic.

Information about Obamacare:

Obama’s approval ratings are at 37%.

When 5 million Americans have lost their doctors and their plans, Americans are not amused.  That small white letter arrived in numerous households.

Further, another promise from Mr Obama:

Lowering the premiums per family, $2,500 per year. A promise broken again.

Recently, some polling numbers:

55% disapprove of the way Mr Obama is handling his job;
52% have an unfavorable impression of Mr Obama;
57% oppose Obamacare;
65% oppose the individual mandate;
71% want to delay the Affordable Care Act;

These numbers are from the Washington Post-ABC News poll, November 14th – 17th.

Gallup then weighs in, November 7th to 10th:

“Is the government responsible for healthcare?”

NO  = 56%
YES = 42%

Additionally, the New York Post is reporting that the Census Bureau may have fabricated unemployment figures during the last presidential election.  As in: purposely pulling those numbers down.  If the unemployment numbers were deliberately manipulated for an election, there should be major political consequences, possibly even criminal consequences.

Up to a HUNDRED MILLION insurance policies could be canceled between now and next year.  Those covered by employers will be SACRIFICED in 2014.  Like ME.  The population of the United States is, by the way, 310 million.

That means: a THIRD of Americans will have their healthcare slaughtered.

No repercussions?
