The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
RULING — not leading — the country by dint of Imperial Executive Fiat.
Who’s the house negro? The slave from the crack cup of liberal propaganda? This man? Or the bulk of blacks who bought Obama’s rap to the tune of a hook, line and a sinker?
Note that Mr Whittle does not talk about Republicans — he speaks about Conservatives. And note that Mr Whittle doesn’t talk about how people think things should be, but how they are. Conservatives aren’t popular with the current generation of American Low Information Voters (ALIVs) because they want to know what can be given to them — “for free” — from their government.
When you have an electorate that doesn’t realize the money coming from government originates from the pockets of taxpayers, you have an electorate with the average IQ of nematodes — courtesy of state-run educational systems elevating feelings over facts.
U.S. Rep. Josè Serrano, D-N.Y., once again quietly introduced a resolution that would allow President Obama or any president to serve an unlimited number of terms, according to a report.
According to GovTrack.US, Rep. Serrano introduced House Joint Resolution 15 on Friday. The resolution is described as:
“Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.”
This resolution was assigned to a congressional committee on January 4, 2013, which would have to consider it before it would be sent to the House or Senate.
The bill was a reintroduction of House Joint Resolution 17 presented by Rep. Serrano in 2011. That resolution was never sent to committee.
So: why not allow an unlimited number of presidential terms?
Because, in my opinion, the wants of the bulk of the electorate just became abundantly clear this past November of 2012: give us more state and federal FREE CHEESE. The parasites in the country are, now, roughly numerically on par with the hosts. The producers and the consumers. Taxpayers and non-taxpayers.
The national hard drive has been corrupted: corrupted by the elitist Worms in DC and the spreading Virus of Free Cheese.
Don’t you find it odd that the only persons who want the 22nd Amendment abolished are those on the Left? And don’t you find it odd that the only presidential term under which the bill is introduced is that of Mr Obama’s?
Because, after all, there’s never any veracity to those incredibly crazy and suspect Right Wing Conspiracy Theories.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
Section 2.
This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.
Twenty small children and six adults were killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. One adult, the mother of the suspect, was killed first, in her home.
Since then a major fuse has been lighted due to the significance of the event, and (predominantly in the DEM/MSM) the obvious and simple solution is to confiscate your weapons and proscribe personal ownership of firearms. Then, clearly, all will be well with the nation and the world.
Nothing that any logically-thinking and informed American didn’t already know and expect, however, from the DEM/MSM maggots.
[A small aside for those unfamiliar with the firearms industry in America: there are, to the best of my knowledge, at least seven firearms or firearms-associated manufacturers located in the state of Connecticut, to include Smith & Wesson; Colt; Sturm, Ruger & Co.; Mossberg; Winchester; Remington; and Martin Firearms.]
“And this must change. We can’t tolerate this any longer. These tragedies must end. Are we prepared to say that we’re powerless in the face of such carnage? That the politics are too hard? Are we prepared to say that such violence visited on our children year after year after year is the price of our freedom?”
Good and true words. To be utilized — like any tool — for good or for ill.
Involving Mr Obama and Demorats, Leftists and Progressives — in consideration of my inherently doubting and questioning nature — I cannot help but think that what Mr Obama has in mind isn’t really much of an observance of our Bill of Rights.
But instead, something more along the lines of what Mr Bush created with Homeland Security — and worse. Muchworse.
Asked by a London news anchor about America’s gun culture, Ice-T said: “Well, I’d give up my gun when everybody does. Doesn’t that make sense? If there were guns here, would you want to be the only person without one?”
Anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Channel 4 News: “So do you carry guns routinely at home?”
Ice-T: “Yeah, it’s legal in the United States. It’s part of our Constitution. You know, the right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.”
Anchor: “And do you see any link between that and these sorts of (Aurora-type) incidents?”
Ice-T: “No. Nah. Not really. You know what I’m saying, if somebody wants to kill people, you know, they don’t need a gun to do it.”
Anchor: “It makes it easier, though, doesn’t it?”
Ice-T: “Not really. You can strap explosives on your body. They [Muslims! – BZ] do that all the time.”
Anchor: “So when there’s the inevitable backlash of the anti-gun lobby, as a result of this instance, as there always is–“
Ice-T: “Well, that’s not going to change anything. The United States is based on guns.”
Alas, finally, a truism. One that we must all face. Because history precludes us.
