No Muslim channel should succeed in the United States.

The winner and loser of the lawsuit between Al Jazeera America and former Current TV CEO Al Gore is yet to be determined, but ratings comparisons between the two show a clear winner.
After buying Current TV in early 2013, and debuting over the summer that year, Al Jazeera has lost almost half of Current TV’s audience.
But here is the glorious news:
In its 14 months on-air, AJAM is averaging 14,000 viewers 5,000 demo viewers for total day. In primetime, its averaging 18,000 viewers and 6,000 demo viewers.
I could post and submit a 24-hour Tibetan Bell Ringing Channel, and acquire the ratings that al Jazeera has. I could acquire 14,000 viewers for the Navel Cleansing Channel. Or the Vietnamese Ballpeen Hammer Fighting Channel. Or the Gregorian Chant Channel.
Or the Fishtank Cleaning Channel. Frankly, I submit the Fishtank Cleaning Channel could rival CNN.
Just saying.
Shame on any American who was sufficiently stupid or daft or craven or ignorant of Leftists or jejune or recalcitrant enough to actually work for the al Jazeera channel. Controversial British MB leader participates in Iraq discussion
A senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood was recently hosted at the White House for a meeting with President Barack Obama, prompting an outcry from critics of the global Islamist organization.
Anas Altikriti, a top British lobbyist for the Muslim Brotherhood whose father heads Iraq’s Muslim Brotherhood party, recently met with the president and Vice President Joe Biden as part of a delegation discussing problems in Iraq.
Altikriti, whose work has also been tied to Hamas, can be seen smiling in photos published by the White House as he stands next to Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama al-Nujaifi, who is pictured shaking hands with President Obama in the White House’s Roosevelt Room. The meeting was first highlighted by the blog Harry’s Place.

Pentagon To Allow Religious Beards, Tattoos, Piercings

The Pentagon is about to become much more accommodating to the religious needs of soldiers — whether Muslim, Wiccan, Christian or Jewish. NBC News obtained an early draft of the new Department of Defense instruction that states the military will make every effort to accommodate “individual expressions of sincerely held beliefs” (conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs) of service members. As part of these new rules the military will be adjusting the governing religious items and religion-based physical attributes that service members can maintain while in uniform — including beards, some religious tattoos, and turbans.

Requests for religious accommodation can be denied when the “needs of mission accomplishment outweigh the needs of the service member,” the directive will explain.
Earlier this month, a major in the U.S. Army who is a Sikh American took his case to staffers on the Hill, explaining how he and other Sikhs should be able to serve in uniform and still maintain their religious beliefs, including wearing turbans and unshorn hair, including beards.
The new directive will explain that if the articles of faith or physical attributes interfere with the proper function of protective clothing and equipment, the request could be denied. For example, a beard or unshorn hair cannot interfere with gas masks or helmets.
Jewish service members can request permission to wear a yarmulke while in uniform. Muslim service members can request to wear a beard and carry prayer beads. Even Wiccan service members, those who practice “Magick,” can seek accommodation — the directive covers all religions recognized by the U.S. military.
The policy will also spell out that service members have the right to observe no religion at all.
What does the word “uniform” mean? Today, apparently not that much.
