The Ryan-Biden debate, observed:

This post will be fluctuous and updated in something in terms of real time, on Thursday.

I will be monitoring the debate via livestream and updating when applicable.

Mr Biden seems to think that a strategy is to smile when Paul Ryan is replying.

A smile to a fact is not a strategy.

On the other hand Martha Radditz is favoring Biden.

And Ryan is NOT being aggressive — as Romney was aggressive.

Biden continues to smile as if Ryan is an imbecile.

I suspect it is playing.

Ryan drank water.  Biden drank nothing.  A minor point but significant to casual viewers.

Bad: just Biden was seen as interruptive.

Ryan is too deferential to Joe Biden.

Ryan needs to STEP UP and verbally SQUASH Joe Biden, to run roughshod over him.  He is entirely too deferential yet.

Biden got too many “last answers.”  UNanswered by Paul Ryan.

Biden is not coming out as an imbecile.  Assuaged by Radditz.

Biden continues to refer to Ryan as “my friend.”

So far, Romney has impressed me more than Ryan in this venue.  Ryan has been, then, like Obama, too entirely conciliatory.

I am concerned that Ryan is much more quiet than Romney.

Ryan was entirely TOO QUIET and TOO DEFERENTIAL.

Ryan didn’t TAKE CHARGE and make the debate over the Benghazi embassy!

So far Biden took charge and didn’t let up and wasn’t allowed, via Raddatz, to allow anything other than that.

Not ONE MENTION of Christopher Stevens, or his death or that of three other SEALs.

Ryan informs on his Catholic faith.  And how it informs his belief on abortion.

Biden tried to make things as Romney vs Ryan.

Too much derisive sneering on the part of Joe Biden.

Factually, a slight nod to Ryan.

A lesser nod to Joe Biden.

A + to Joe Biden.

A – to Paul Ryan.

First impressions.

Less than 3 hours to the Ryan – Biden debate

And frankly, I can’t wait.

In preparation for the debate, Joe Biden washes his Trans Am.

Any predictions?  I have one:

I think Biden is going to attempt to play “hard-ball” with Mr Ryan and ask the questions that people “wanted Obama to.”  I see Biden thinking of himself as the White Knight riding up in order to cleanse the dark arena of its Conservative Scourge.  He will be the Savior of the Leftists, come to the aid of Mr Obama with his quick wit, acerbic tongue and witty repartee.

My thought is borne out by this LA Times article.

I suspect Biden will attempt to make his attempt for the proverbial jugular.  Demorats secretly say their entire hopes rest on Biden.  That in itself is rather shocking.

However: if he decides to go there, I’m suspecting that Ryan will decapitate Mr Biden and simply watch the exsanguination.

As will I.

This, if anything, will be highly entertaining.

Can Paul Ryan continue the momentum, or will Joe Biden somehow shift that momentum?

The deaths behind Fast & Furious: Obama and Holder, you OWN THOSE DEATHS

Mr Obama was shocked, absolutely stunned, when Univision didn’t pitch him a series of interview “softballs” two weeks ago.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Once again, however, Obama LIED: “Fast & Furious” did not start under President Bush.  Even ABC News acknowledges this fact.

Then Univision did something worse: it found many more weapons that were linked to Fast & Furious:

The Spanish language television news network Univision unleashed a bombshell investigative report on Operation Fast and Furious Sunday evening, finding that in January 2010 drug cartel hit men slaughtered students with weapons the United States government allowed to flow to them across the Mexican border.

“On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez,” according to a version of the Univision report in English, on the ABC News website.

“Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.”

Citing a Mexican Army document it obtained and published, Univision reported that “[t]hree of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).”

That operation was Fast and Furious.

The result to date?  Yes: absolutely nobody in the Department of Justice was held accountable. Some lesser administrators were allowed to “resign” quietly or found themselves magically reassigned. Nobody was fired.  Nobody was arrested.

Clearly, Eric Holder has Obama’s “complete confidence” regarding Fast & Furious:

The DOJ already said it won’t prosecute Holder for contempt;

Eric Holder stonewalled handing over Fast & Furious documents;

Obama himself asserted “executive privilege” with regard to the F&F documents;

Holder himself said Fast & Furious doesn’t really mean “Fast & Furious.”

Paul Ryan said on Monday that Eric Holder has to resign and do so immediately.  In fact, Romney said in December of 2011:

“Either Mr. Holder himself should resign, or the president should ask for his resignation or remove him.  It’s unacceptable for him to continue in that position now given the fact that he has misled Congress and entirely botched the investigation of the Fast and Furious program.”

Obama is corrupt.  He is a liar.  He is at once fighting to retain his White House chair and simultaneously disengaged and disinterested in actually LEADING this country.

Trotted out nightly on the DEM/MSM?  Of course not.

FIRST BOX OFFICE: Anti-Obama Movie #1

FRIDAY 2 PM: The anti-Obama movie 2016 Obama’s America went into wider release around America today and is opening right now in first place at the domestic box office. That’s quite a feat since the Rocky Mountain Pictures political documentary is still playing in only 1,090 North American theaters – or about 1/3 as many theaters as big-budget actioner The Expendables 2 (3,355 theaters). But these political documentaries like faith-based films are frontloaded. The Stallone picture from Millenium/Lionsgate is still expected to end the weekend #1 and should top the box office tonight. And, based on matinee trends, 2016 Obama’s America looks to gross $1.2M-$1.7M Friday for a $3.7M-$5.0M weekend. But right now it has grossed $700,000 today compared to $300,000 for The Expendables 2. Its new cume after this weekend could make it the #1 conservative documentary (ahead of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed’s $7.7M). The success of the anti-Obama pic is based on big pre-sales leading into the Republican National Convention August 27-30, and exhibitors are reporting busloads of filmgoers arriving at theaters around the country in pre-organized trips. It also employed much of the same marketing techniques used to garner attention and support for faith-based films, understandable since the audience is overlapping. Its campaign included advertising nationally over the past two weeks on talk radio and cable news channels including Fox News Channel, A&E, History and MSNBC.

You HEAR or READ of this on the DEM/MSM?

Of course not.  It’s the job of the DEM/MSM to cover Mr Obama’s ass and purposely bury any and all negative stories about him that are directly or indirectly related.

Because the DEM/MSM is saying that the only poll that counts is the “likeability” factor of Mr Obama vs Mr Romney.  Not the actual polls which indicate the percentile of persons who will vote for one or the other.  Where Romney comes out ahead.

My admonition to ALL of my BZ readers?

Spend money, go and SEE “2016” and follow this action up with a vote for Romney – Ryan.

Paul Ryan has already gone up against Obama budgetarily — and WON

Here’s a bit of the truth that comes back to haunt:

Anyone remember Paul Ryan’s budget that managed to pass the House?

Then went on to the Senate?

Anyone remember: Ryan’s budget acquired 41 votes in the Senate — not far from half.

Anyone remember: what happened to Obama’s budget in the Senate?

Oh, that’s right: 0 votes — not ONE Demorat voted for his budget.  Even the UAW advocated against Mr Obama’s budget.

Score: Ryan 41, Obama 0.

And, oh yeah: Demorats own the Senate.

So who has a better grasp of reality: Paul Ryan in his instigation, or Mr Obama?

You know my answer to that.
