BBC staff ordered to stop giving equal air time to climate change deniers

The BBC’s governing body has ordered staff to stop giving equal air time to climate change deniers and other scientific experts with a “marginal opinion.”

The BBC Trust published a progress report analyzing the corporation’s science coverage and found it remains prone to “over-rigid application of editorial guidelines on impartiality” that resulted in the BBC giving “undue attention to marginal opinion,” The Telegraph reported.

The report’s author, Steve Jones, emeritus professor of Genetics at University College London, said man-made climate change was one area where too much weight had been given to unqualified critics, The Washington Post reported.

Some 200 BBC staff have already attended seminars and workshops to learn what it means to cover science impartially, and more will be invited to attend courses in the coming months.

“The key point the workshops tried to impart is that impartiality in science coverage does not simply lie in reflecting a wide range of views, which may result in a ‘false balance,’ ” Andrew Miller, chairman of Parliament’s science and technology select committee, told The Post.

There you go. A challenging point is diminished as merely a “false balance.”

Because, after all, the discussion is simply over.

Does anyone wonder why the UK is nothing more than a manipulated Western country?

The Middle Eastern owner of the gleaming white Rolls-Royce doesn’t even glance at the double yellow lines as he parks over them outside the famous green-and-gold frontage of Harrods in London.

He is on his way to the store’s exclusive French cafe Ladurée, where outdoor tables are packed full of stylish men speaking Arabic and smoking, while glamorous women stand chatting in niqabs or brightly coloured scarves with jeans and stack-heeled designer trainers.

And as a parking warden fixes a £60 ticket to the perfectly polished windscreen of his car — a Phantom Drophead Coupé with a Saudi Arabian number plate — he doesn’t even flinch, simply continuing the animated chatter with friends.

Because: what’s a simple “fine” to an Emir? In the scope of things, it is nothing. After all, each and every car was FLOWN IN to the UK for the convenience of these Muslims.

Alleged Muslims.

Frankly, I couldn’t care less how this affects the UK. I simply want to see some incredible cars. Get ready:

Whilst Rome burns, rich Muslims revel in their wealth. And say: screw everyone else.

Imagine that.

UN Condemns Israel, US, for Not Sharing Iron Dome Missile System with Hamas

Leftists have always been about what’s “fair” and “equal,” except that little in Life is either fair or equal. Additionally (and logically) “fair” and “equal” exists in the eyes of the beholder.

That in mind, let’s examine what the UN believes to be “fair.” From FoxNews.com:

The United Nations slammed Israel for possibly committing war crimes in its fight against Hamas — and then backed that accusation by suggesting the Jewish nation ought to be sharing its Iron Dome defensive technology with the very terror group it’s fighting.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said to members of the media at an “emergency” meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council that Israel was falling short in its duty to protect citizens in the Gaza Strip from getting killed by its rockets.

Yes, that’s correct — the UN believes the same missile system the US provided to Israel for its defense should be equally provided to Hamas in Gaza. See more here.

I have written this final paragraph three times, and what I had previously written wasn’t kind to either the UN or to Hamas. However, I suspect you inherently know what I’d written but have now redacted for the sake of kindness and civility. But in essence: can the UN be any more idiotic, useless and annoying?

I still believe the UN, once kicked out of New York and with US funding stopped, would make a wonderful set of condos overlooking the river.

Mount Sinai Hospital is performing tests on a patient who had recently traveled to a West African country where Ebola has been reported, the hospital says.

A male patient with high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms came to the hospital’s emergency room on Monday morning, officials said.

The hospital says the patient has been placed in strict isolation and is undergoing medical screenings to determine the cause of his symptoms.

This is just what we’ve caught.
