Thanks for supporting the Orwellian Police State:

First, watch the video, then have your hands available to catch your jaw when it drops:

Now, a bit of reflection, with a large dose of reality mixed in by necessity.

In summary up front: this is precisely why the United States of America exists in its current condition, on the cusp of total bankruptcy, dissolution and revolution.

The painfully-stupid American voter.

Because these are painfully-stupid people.  They are likely products of the American public school system in larger metropolitan areas — as in this venue, San Diego.

They are people who may have been — hopefully — “educated” (although there is a galaxy’s worth of difference between education and actual learning) but they clearly lack critical thinking and listening skills.

These are the people who voted for Barack Hussein Obama because he is, frankly, black — and it is high time that a “black man” be installed in DC as president. Caucasoids voted for Obama because they are GOWPs: Guilty, Overeducated White People.  Blacks — both dead and alive — voted for Obama because their sole issue was melanin count.  Both aspects are indeed racist in nature for having done just so.

These people didn’t vote for Obama because there is a known component of the man’s philosophy and background, not because he has a long and storied past of training, education and experience with many aspects of the American Experience itself.  Not because he has labored long and hard as a worker, doing physical jobs, then menial jobs, then promoted due to efficiency and prowess, then awarded promotions due to illuminating ideas and creative applications.  He hasn’t worked one day in private business.  He hasn’t had to make a payroll.  He hasn’t had to balance one professional budget.  He has been petted and licked and groomed from so-called “community organizer” right into the oval office of the currently re-named Spite House.

He is the man who refuses to release his college transcripts, whom no one seems to recall attending any actual classes, who may actually not be born in the United States, who is completely opaque,

Obama has managed to out-Bush Mr. Bush in terms of spending, military incursions, drone strikes and the issuance of bills and EOs promoting oppression of the American people.

And we wonder why we are in our current state?

DC LampreyYes, certainly, it’s the Political Lampreys in DC.

But it’s also the people clearly displayed in the above video.

“We.”

The “People.”

Feel-good video of the day: criminal pays for his crime with his life

First, the full video, then the back story:

The Reader’s Digest condensed version is below:

From the UK Telegraph comes the South American story:

Caught on camera: Brazilian robber shot while trying to take motorcycle

A motorcyclist with a camera fitted to his helmet captures the terrifying scene as two would-be robbers try to steal his bike, only for a passing off-duty policeman to climb out of his car and shoot one of the men.

12:10PM BST 14 Oct 2013

A helmet camera captured the terrifying moment an armed robber was shot by an off-duty policeman as he attempted to steal a motorcycle.

The dramatic scene unfolded in broad daylight on a busy street in Sao Paulo. Video footage shows a motorcyclist’s view of the road ahead as he speeds through Brazil‘s largest city. As he approaches a junction, another motorcycle suddenly pulls alongside. The pillion passenger draws a large handgun which he points in the face of the video-equipped motorcyclist.

While the agitated robber demands the man hand over his keys, a policeman driving by in a small hatchback car has noticed what is going on.

With the robber climbing onto his newly acquired motorcycle, the policeman steps from his car and without any warning shoots the man twice.

Local reports claim the wounded robber later died in hospital.

A brief bit of editorial:

Was any sort of “justice” meted out this day, many would ask?  I submit for your consideration: in the Real World, yes, it was.

However, in America, the officer would be featured by the American Media Maggots as a bloodthirsty killer, out for revenge, another notch in his gun, waiting to eradicate a young male held down by a system designed to oppress, diminish and negate the worth of such a misunderstood and naive juvenile who was only responding to the daily whipcracks of a society that sought to repress his enthusiasm and impugn his worth — a product of nothing more than his poor, skewed and tragic environment.

First, the video would be played and re-played for hours and days on the MSM/DEM venues.  The bleating would be constant and strident: confused youth gunned down by onerous cop.

The officer’s life would be examined under a microscope.  His fifth grade teacher would be interviewed.  A Pitchess Motion would be made.  A photograph of him wryly smirking for a camera would be utilized as the stock photo in every story, portrayed as the way he addressed every suspect, with disdain and abuse.

There would be marches.  There would be protests.  There would be candlelight vigils covered in graphic detail by the AMM.  Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would ensure their racist mugs were featured up front.  Though it may not be an issue of race it would be manufactured as an issue of race.  The facts be damned.  Lawyers would queue up, the saliva running down their Thom Browne suits.

On the other hand, as with Trayvon Martin, the American Media Maggots would unearth the most innocent and the youngest photograph available for the male.  They would find the one person in his neighborhood that he hadn’t burglarized.  They would find, so to speak, the one seal that he hadn’t clubbed to death.

I submit that, under this somewhat thin veneer of civilization, there is still a fundamental right and wrong to the universe.  A yin or yang, a proper and an improper.

Why are many Westerns so honored by moviegoers?  Because they tend to break down events into their fundamental components: right and wrong.  People know it, they smell it, they recognize it when they see it.

Perhaps John Wayne said it best:

Life Is Tough - John WayneI don’t believe I can elaborate much further.

Activists Block Bus In Protest Near San Francisco Immigration Office

Immigrant Reform RightsFrom SFCBSLocal.com:

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Dozens of protesters surrounded a bus believed to be filled with immigrants slated for deportation at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office in San Francisco, a protest organizer said Thursday.

The protesters included dozens of undocumented immigrants and immigrants’ rights advocates who rallied for the expansion of a national movement to pressure President Barack Obama to halt immigrant deportations, according to Jon Rodney, a spokesman for the California Immigrant Policy Center.

But here is the brazen paragraph:

“We are not going to wait for Congress anymore. We are not going to wait for Obama. This is a humanitarian crisis, two million people deported in 5 years,” protester Hairo Cortez told KPIX 5.

San Francisco, if you recall, is a so-called “sanctuary city.”  San Francisco’s attitude about the whole thing is exemplified here.  One interesting point from SFGate.com, however:

Sanctuary-city policy enables dangerous drivers

Drew Rosenberg became a victim of San Francisco’s immigration policies on Nov. 16, 2010. The second-year law student was riding his motorcycle in rush-hour traffic when a car driven by an unlicensed driver made a left turn and hit him. That evening, Don Rosenberg of Westlake Village received the phone call every parent dreads. His precious son was dead.

Then another nightmare unfolded.

As Rosenberg investigated driver Roberto Galo‘s background, he discovered that San Francisco’s policies regarding immigrants have served as an enabler for dangerous drivers.

Road to death

Nov. 1, 2009 – San Francisco announces a policy allowing unlicensed drivers to avoid an automatic impound if a licensed driver will get their car.

June 14, 2010 – Police stop Roberto Galo, 52, for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving without a license. He pays a $220 fine.

Nov. 16, 2010 – Galo hits and kills Drew Rosenberg at Harrison and 16th streets.

Imagine that.  Consequences for short-sighted actions.

Further, the continuing and unrelenting demand by persons involved in criminal activity — such as entering the United States illegally — to be granted public entitlements such as free tuition, free healthcare and the numerous freedoms enjoyed by actual citizens grows and grows, unabated.  Illegal Mexicans are proving they are here for the Free Cheese and not to work honestly.

They are making demands that rights given to lawful Americans automatically apply to themselves.  And that no illegals should be deported.

I say: be truthful, United States of America.  Either remove the laws against illegal entry into the US, or enforce your laws.  At this point Mr Obama and his sycophants want it both ways.

Otherwise you are essentially requiring that people like me shall decide, independently, which laws we shall keep and which laws we shall violate, at will.

If we are not a nation of Constitutional laws, then we have no United States.

The truth about the “government re-opening” and the debt limit:

Debt CeilingFrom the DailyCaller.com:

There’s no actual debt ceiling right now

by Alex Pappas

There’s no actual debt ceiling right now.

The fiscal deal passed by Congress on Wednesday evening to re-open the government and get around the $16.4 trillion limit on borrowing doesn’t actually increase the debt limit. It just temporarily suspends enforcement of it.

That means Americans have no idea how much debt their government is going to rack up between now and Feb. 7, when the limits are supposed to go back into place and will have to be raised.

There is no dollar amount set for how much debt the government can accumulate between now and then. The suspension strategy was employed first earlier this year during previous fiscal battles in Congress.

The nasty little truth that no one will tell you.  Plus: what’s actually in the bill?

Looks like the “stopgap bill” is packed with pork.

From the WashingtonTimes.com:

That’s rich! Sen. Lautenberg’s millionaire widow pockets $174K in shutdown deal

By Stephen Dinan

Buried inside the new stopgap spending bill are several goodies, including nearly quadrupling the maximum price of a dam project on the Ohio River that is turning into a boondoggle — up to nearly $3 billion.

The bill also includes $174,000 of taxpayer money for the widow of the late Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg. The death gratuity, which has been paid to widows of other lawmakers in the past, raised hackles since Lautenberg was a multimillionaire, while the government is $16.7 trillion in debt.

Are you serious?  Are the Demorats and the Republicans pressing porkish fluff into what is perceived as an Emergency Bill to “keep America solvent”?

In one word: yes.

Thank God there’s a semblance of sanity within:

But lawmakers did nix one provision that was in an early draft posted online — they canceled authority to build another Coast Guard cutter, as a cost of nearly $600 million.

Wow.  I was sweating that one.  Far be it from us to approve the construction of something as trite and unneeded as another stupid and unnecessary USCG ship.

Included in the measure is money to pay back all of the states that signed agreements funding national parks within their borders during the shutdown — with interest.

Payback with interest.  How generous.  With YOUR hard-earned money.

The measure also repays all federal employees for the days the government was shutdown, including the hundreds of thousands who were furloughed and didn’t work.

Hello?  Government Welfare?  Getting paid to not work?  What kind of a wonderful deal is that?

It also:

-Lets the Defense Department continue assisting African forces pursue Joseph Kony, leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army, a rebel group accused of atrocities.

Right.  In a “last ditch moment” bill designed to keep the government running.

My Congressman, Tom McClintock, wrote:

The debt limit exists for a simple reason: to assure that public debt isn’t recklessly piled up without Congress periodically acknowledging it and addressing the spending patterns that are causing it. If a debt limit increase is supposed to be automatic, as the President suggests, there really is no purpose to it.

A new dimension has now appeared in this discussion. Unlike every one of his predecessors, this President has vowed that unless Congress unconditionally raises the debt limit, the United States will default on its sovereign debt.

The President has been ruthless and vindictive in the way he has handled the shutdown, refusing House leadership’s offers along the way. I now believe that this President would willfully act to destroy the full faith and credit of the United States unless the Congress acquiesces to all of his demands. His every statement and action is consistent with this conclusion.

If the Republicans acquiesce, the immediate crisis will quickly vanish, credit markets will calm and public life will return to other matters. But a fundamental element of our Constitution will have been destroyed and a perilous era will have begun.

And that did occur.  In the hindsight of this article, the Republicans did in fact “cave.”

The power of the purse will have shifted from the representatives of the people to the executive, in which the President sets spending levels and vetoes any bill falling short of his demands. Whenever a deadline approaches, one house can simply refuse to negotiate with the other until Congress is faced with the Hobson’s choice of a shut-down or a default.

But here’s the point:

The nation’s spending will again dangerously accelerate, the deficit will again rapidly widen, and the economic prosperity of the nation will continue to slowly bleed away.

This impasse may have started as a dispute over a collapsing health program but it has now taken on the dimensions of a constitutional crisis.

You and I both know this is true.
