The Fiscal Cliff: “Republicans ought to simply walk away.”
I don’t always agree with Charles Krauthammer. But this time I most certainly agree. As I wrote on Wednesday, let’s just drive off the Fiscal Cliff:
The so-called “Fiscal Cliff” is looming.
I say: let’s give the Demorats everything they want. Whatever they want. Raise taxes, tax raises, a few piddly cuts, and raise taxes. Kill the Bush Tax Cuts.
Then raise the debt ceiling.
Come January 2nd, something will have to be actually OWNED.
To the GOP: just stand back. Let it happen.
It’s not just a bad deal, this is really an insulting deal. What Geithner offered, what you showed on the screen, Robert E. Lee was offered easier terms at Appomattox, and he lost the Civil War. The Democrats won by 3% of the vote and they did not hold the House, Republicans won the house. So this is not exactly unconditional surrender, but that is what the administration is asking of the Republicans.
This idea — there are not only no cuts in this, there’s an increase in spending with a new stimulus. I mean, this is almost unheard of. What do they expect? They obviously expect the Republicans will cave on everything. I think the Republicans ought to simply walk away. The president is the president. He’s the leader. They are demanding that the Republicans explain all the cuts that they want to make.
We had that movie a year-and-a-half ago where Paul Ryan presented a budget, a serious real budget with real cuts. Obama was supposed to gave speech where he would respond with a counter offer. And what did he do? He gave a speech where he had Ryan sitting in the front row. He called the Ryan proposal un-American, insulted him, offered nothing, and ran on Mediscare in the next 18 months.
And they expect the Republicans are going to do this again? The Republicans are going to walk on this. And I think they have leverage. Yes, for Congressional Democrats it will help them in the future if Republicans absorb the blame because we will have a recession. But Obama is not running again unlike the Congressional Democrats. He’s going to have a recession, 9% unemployment, 2 million more unemployed, and a second term that’s going to be a ruin. That is not a good proposition if you are Barack Obama.
Short answer: YES. The Demorats completely expect the Republicans to cave again.
As I have said for, now, decades, to all my current and former supervisors, managers and troops:
The best predictor of future performance or — lack thereof — is past behavior.

Throughout the 2012 election, I kept receiving mail from the Republican National Committee urging me to send in a donation for what was probably the most important election of our lives.
I ignored the entreaties and instead gave what I could to individual campaigns and ignored the RNC because it is totally clueless when it comes to winning elections. What worked in 2010 to win the House was ignored this year because the RNC is full of the establishment GOP that lives in an elitist bubble ignoring the fact that the Democrat Party has community organizers trained by Saul Alinsky.

Meanwhile, the liberals in Congress and the media continue to apply Alinsky’s rules for radicals by shouting racism and sexism at Republicans whenever they can. One can always tell when the liberals have no way to refute the truth when they bring up the race card.
Consider the attacks on those critics of Ambassador Susan Rice for her misleading statements on Benghazi incident:
On the Chris Matthews show, Richard Wolffe, who was recently named the vice president and executive editor of MSNBC’s revamped website, UN Ambassador Susan Rice and Attorney General Eric Holder have faced criticism recently because they’re black.

The Republicans have many outstanding people of color to reach out and convey the history and principles of the GOP in their communities. Unfortunately these individuals do not rank high in the upper echelons of the RNC and that is why throwing money at it to continue the cluelessness is a waste.
The GOP needs people like Alfonzo Rachel of PJMedia’s Zonation to speak for the party. Watch his YouTube videos where he demonstrates that he knows more about the history of the party than the RNC which refuses to get back to its basics. He equates how the Democrats rationalized slavery and is now equating abortion with it by not considering blacks or fetuses to be human.

For heaven’s sake, in Lincoln’s time, the GOP had brave radicals fighting against slavery. They were fighting a Democratic Party which founded the KKK yet most blacks and Hispanics believe that it is the party of civil rights and the GOP is against them.

I wrote earlier (in 2011) of the GOP’s tenuous predicament:
Dear GOP:
You are about to go the way of the Whig Party, and you don’t even realize it.
You were given a so-called “mandate” this past November.
You didn’t understand it then, and I’m convinced you simply don’t understand it now.
It’s a fight, and you said you would fight for Conservatism but, since then, you’ve shown nothing but limp-wristed — at best — compromise and, at worst, agreement with some of the Demorats’ bills and principles.
You are about to create — due to your indifference — a Third Party in this nation which will, in truth, weaken the GOP and Conservative values whilst, at the same time, strengthen Demorats and Leftists.
I used to write general checks to the RNC but, these days, I specifically TARGET my checks to individuals I consider to be more reflective of my thoughts. My most recent checks were to Sharron Angle, Tom McClintock, and Marco Rubio. They received, shall I say, a minimum of $1,000 each. That is money that could have gone to the GOP but, in my opinion, would have been squandered for the pablum that passes as the current GOP “platform.”
You, GOP, are losing your predominant Water Carriers. You are losing Rush Limbaugh. And, in my realm, more importantly, you are losing a much more even-keeled individual — Hugh Hewitt.
You were proffered what most people would consider a true mandate.
And, for the most part, since then, your “stands” have been akin to nailing Jello to a tree.
In the meantime, Mr Barack Hussein Obama has officially announced his candidacy for President in 2012. Earthshaking? Not quite. He is already at a 50/50 chance of election. Considering past and current standings, I find that absolutely amazing and, further, a revealing insight into the ignorance of American voters.
That said, in opposition, what does the GOP offer? Who? What? When?
I learned one thing, just one thing, from my high school “Civics” teacher, Mr Helms — goateed as he was in the 60s. He said: “Democrats don’t win elections; Republicans lose them.”

We’re going to tank. There is no dispute to those four words. We’re going to tank.
Look at my state. Look at Fornicalia. I absolutely love and worship the general topography of Fornicalia. I love its mountains — where I live. I love its coasts. I love its forests. I love its climate. And I hate the topography of Texas. I hate its flat nature. I hate its heat. I hate its coasts. I hate its humidity. It has no forests. It has no mountains. I hate its humidity. Did I mention that I hate its humidity? I hate its susceptibility to hurricanes. Did I mention that I hate its humidity?
But I love its state philosophy.
There are those who believe that not only income should be taxed, but overall wealth. And if that wealth is not made plain, then literal confiscation of actual property should result. Jill Stein of the Green Party thinks this is a great idea. A presidential candidate who was arrested in Texas due to Keystone Pipeline protests. Right. An attempt to make the US energy independent. Stein: you are a complete loser.
Marc Lamont Hill, PhD, thinks that wealth taxation and subsequent confiscation is also a good idea. He believes that trust funds should be taxed, your net worth should be taxed — in addition to whatever level to which your other taxes rise — and that France has the right idea in terms of taxation. Despite the fact that any number of wealthy French residents have decided to let their feet do their voting.
Under Dr Lamont’s structure, the government would have to physically make some kind of assessment as to the wealth of an individual or an estate. The value of furniture. The value of paintings. The value of architecture. The value of homes. The value of persons employed. The number of cars owned, the number of bank accounts, wives, ex-wives, husbands, ex-husbands, number of trees, length of driveway, number of doors in a home.
If you don’t or can’t comply: the confiscation of your wealth physically and literally.
Fornicalia is going to tank. The federal government is going to tank. No one ever considers, in history, how excessive government managed to kill Rome.
In response I say: let it be so. To the Republicans: let it go.
Let the Demorats have everything they want. Every-damned-thing. Everything.
To the Republicans who tip drinks with Demorats at the end of the day: you.
To the Demorats who tip drinks with Republicans at the end of the day: you.

Susan Rice for Secretary of State — ?
UN Ambassador Susan Rice knows that what she said about Benghazi was not true — let me make this blunt: a LIE — but “necessary” according to the Obama Administration. She was purposely asked to obfuscate the issue and she complied. This was not done by some kind of mistake; it was instead done blatantly and with impunity when she was scheduled for all five major political TV shows the Sunday immediately following the death of Ambassador Stevens and three good SEAL members.
Susan Rice personally and purposely and knowingly misrepresented the Benghazi Consulate story. She was responsible for the meme and talking points becoming some half-assed and poorly produced YouTube video (Innocence of Muslims) which resulted in that individual being placed on a plethora of Islamic death lists globally.
Susan Rice was a Good Drone. She took one or two for the team. She lied for Mr Obama and helped him to get re-elected. And as such it was recently discovered she was in line to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.
But I submit: can you actually get a bald-faced LIAR through the US Senate with no opposition and no “holds”?
Susan Rice lied, full well knowing she was lying. Rice had the accurate and complete story before her, and chose to carry Barack Hussein Obama’s water.
As a result, the GOP has put a halt on Rice. Perhaps only temporarily.
Because, as far as Mr Obama is concerned, she needs to be rewarded for her fealty.
Earlier this week, the Washington Post indicated Susan Rice was in the running to replace Hillary Clinton as SoS, when Clinton steps down next year as indicated.
Check out Occam’s Razor. It’s a payoff for lying, plain and: simple.
