Reflections On SEAL Team 6 & bin Laden:

Richard “Dick” Marcinko, author of the Rogue Warrior book series (a Navy SEAL himself and the actual creator of SEAL Team 6), speaks about the recent action in Pakistan involving NSWDG.

I’ve read his books for years and, primarily, the first non-fiction book: Rogue Warrior. That said, you either love Demo Dick or you hate him; there is little in between. You either admire his independent spirit that fights for his men, attempts to highlight the flaws in the USN system, rails against closed-minded thinking — or you chalk it up to arrogance, his anti-authoritarian views,

Once Again: Obama Arrogant

From Real Clear Politics.com:

Debra Burlingame, the sister of Charles “Chic” Burlingame (pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon) met with President Obama today, along with other families who were victims of 9/11. Burlingame said she confronted Obama about Attorney General Eric Holder prosecuting the men who interrogated KSM, which may have produced intelligence leading us to bin Laden.

Burlingame describes the encounter with Obama: “As a former attorney I know you can’t tell the Attorney General what to do, he said, ‘No, I can’t.’ But I said ‘we — that shouldn’t stop you from giving your opinion. We wouldn’t be here today if they hadn’t done their jobs. Can’t you at least give them your opinion.’ And he said ‘no I won’t,’ and he turned around and walked away.”

Check out the accompanying video.

Obama: he cannot brook any confrontation.

Nor will he fundamentally honor America’s exceptionalism.

Incredible arrogance, that.

Continuing criminal charges against the interrogators of KSM?

To America: Are We ACTUALLY This STUPID?

With America’s budget in the tank, with a trillion-dollar PLUS deficit, with a country completely rudderless due to the Demorats and Obama’s incessant, emotional bleating and whining —

There is still time for the US Congress to discuss the usage of the single word “GERONIMO” in the Osama bin Laden mission — in terms of it being a pejorative.
Really?
Are we truly that involved in incestuous navel-gazing? Isn’t there enough lint already present? Aren’t there actual issues requiring addressing?
Apparently not.

Congress to discuss use of Geronimo’s name in Bin Laden mission

May 4, 2011 | 7:12 pm

A congressional oversight hearing originally scheduled to discuss, among other things, how indigenous-themed sports mascots have negatively influenced the perception of Native Americans, will now also address the linking of the name Geronimo to Osama bin Laden.

“Geronimo” was the code name for the mission where 24 Navy SEALs raided Bin Laden’s three-story million-dollar compound in Abbotabad, Pakistan; “Geronimo” was also the code the SEALs used to alert their commanders that they identified their target; and finally “Geronimo-E KIA” was the coded message to confirm that they had killed Bin Laden.

The Senate Indian Affairs committee, chaired by Sen. Daniel Akaka (D-HI), will host the hearing titled “Stolen Identities: The Impact of Racist Stereotypes on Indigenous People,” which will be webcast live at 2:15 p.m. ET.

Oh. My. God.
Are that insipid as a nation?
Please allow me to make this as clear as possible. Let me be the proverbial transparent pane of glass. Let me be the conduit to clarity.
Who the HELL cares if a couple of Indians are mortified? Who the HELL cares if even ONE person is “offended”? My guess would be that GOWPs are the largest objectors.

Does the phrase “you need to get an actual life” mean anything to anyone in this happenstance?

Let Me See If I Get This Right:

1. Mr Obama is all set to release up to, literally, 2,000 photographs of alleged “abuse” at American prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan — re-igniting 2004’s Abu Ghraib all over again.

2. Whilst, at the same time, he cowers and whimpers in fear of releasing even ONE photograph of Osama bin Laden in death, for fear of fear.

And fear of “offending.”

Yes, America, there’s your president.

P.S.
[Have you noticed that, not once, since 2008, have I ever written the words “President” and “Obama” next to each other in my blog?]

The New Media Question: Why Was OBL Killed Instead Of Captured?

[Above: OBL house in Pakistani suburb outside Islamabad. Just another house? Note the massive, high walls, barbed wire, elevated central monitoring structure. This raised no questions whatsoever?]

Details are coming fast and furious following the killing of Osama bin Laden by a unit of US Navy SEALs.

More and more, the question that seems to be on the tips of media and Middle East pens is: why wasn’t OBL captured instead of killed outright?

New CIA Director Leon Panetta said:

The authorities we have on Bin Laden are to kill him. And that was made clear. But it was also, as part of their rules of engagement, if he suddenly put up his hands and offered to be captured, then– they would have the opportunity, obviously, to capture him. But that opportunity never developed.”

Please click on the above link and watch the RCP video.

New information indicates that OBL did not have a gun; that he did not use a wife as a shield. Therefore, was this not nothing more than a naked assassination?

The White House itself said that OBL resisted, and “resistance does not require a firearm.”

Question:

Should OBL have been captured rather than killed and — later — subjected to intrinsic and pointed interrogation techniques? Some are saying that there is an inherent satisfaction that could have been achieved by an arrest, trial and public display.

Further, however, is this not an abrogation of EO 12333 and Ford’s EO 11905?

I know my answer; what is yours?

In finality, OBL should have been wrapped in bacon and kicked off the fantail by the lowliest rating aboard ship, with as much pomp and circumstance as is reserved for medical waste.

As indicated below. Thanks to TF for the photo.
