The over-reaching power of the IRS and why it needs to be GUTTED

This is one chilling video, and John Eastman nails it precisely:

Following that testimony, it was revealed that, concurrently, the IRS pisses away your money:

IRS Audit Details $4.1 Million Conference

WASHINGTON—The 2010 Internal Revenue Service employee conference that has drawn criticism paid $17,000 to a keynote speaker who drew pictures of the singer Bono and the physicist Albert Einstein to inspire IRS employees to free up their thought process and find creative solutions to challenges, according to a report released Tuesday.

The conference for 2,609 employees in Anaheim, Calif., cost $4.1 million. Lawmakers had recently released some details of the conference—including videos of IRS workers engaged in a “Star Trek” parody and a line dance—but the full report wasn’t publicly available until Tuesday.

Republican Darrell Issa weighs in with logic:

“The wasteful Anaheim conference is one example of a culture of excess that plagues the IRS and many federal agencies,” said Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, (R., Calif.) in a statement released Tuesday. “Taxpayer money meant to pay for a core agency mission, the hiring of more enforcement personnel, was instead spent on a lavish party. Perhaps most disturbingly, there appears to have been little or no effort by the IRS to hold those responsible for this wasteful spending accountable.”

And watch the testimony of Becky Gerritson:

Further:

Rep. Jim McDermott (D., Wash.) gave the hearing a jolt when he questioned whether the conservatives were being unreasonable by claiming that they were entitled to a tax-advantaged status on a fast-track basis for political work. “Each of your groups is highly political,” Mr. McDermott said. “You are all entrenched in some of the most controversial political issues in the country, and with your applications you were asking the American public to pay for that work,” Mr. McDermott said.

That prompted a strong reaction from Rep. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.).

“We have not heard any testimony that this is happening to groups that have the opposing views,” Mr. Ryan said, looking at Mr. McDermott. “So to suggest that these citizens are to blame for applying—I don’t understand how anyone can make that conclusion,” Mr. Ryan said.

These weren’t accidents.  They were acts of overt intimidation.  These acts were condoned by their administrations.  The Obama Administration.

What about Organizing For Action?  What about MoveOn.org?

There are rules for those supporting Obama.  There are separate rules for those opposing Obama.  Who knew?  Who gave the orders?  When did they know it?

Yes.  Your loving IRS.

BREAKING: Holder OK’d search warrant for Fox News reporter’s private emails, official says

Eric Holder = Corrupt LiarFrom, oddly enough, NBC News:

Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a “possible co-conspirator” in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails, a law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday.

The disclosure of the attorney general’s role came as President Barack Obama, in a major speech on his counterterrorism policy, said Holder had agreed to review Justice Department guidelines governing investigations that involve journalists.

Holder previously said he recused himself from the AP subpoena because he had been questioned as a witness in the underlying investigation into a leak about a foiled bomb plot in Yemen. His role in personally approving the Rosen search warrant had not been previously reported.

Ladies and gentlemen, the fingerprints may finally be on the knife.

The fingerprints belonging to a major player in the OBAMA Cabinet.

James Rosen’s warrant was signed by Eric Holder.

And so: WHY isn’t this splayed all over the national media?

Oh yeah; right.

Obama is so duplicitous.  He mentions the case; he purposely does not mention Eric Holder and does not call for the resignation or firing or prosecution of Eric Holder.

Ben Stein — who worked in the Nixon Administration, just said on O’Reilly: “This is Richard Nixon all over again, minus all the foreign policy achievements.”

IRS Lois Lerner: “I take the Fifth”

As predicted, Lois Lerner took the Fifth during her alleged “testimony.”

Except that, first, she made a self-serving statement, then refused to testify.

The arrogance of the IRS and this administration, by extension, is phenomenal.

“I have not done anything wrong.”

Really?

Except be an obstructionist.

When people think you’re guilty because you plead the Fifth — they’re correct.

IRS: taking the Fifth

IRS ScandalSeized phone records?  White House staffers?  Fox News reporters — plural?

And now the IRS is taking the Fifth?

Because you know, when people start taking the Fifth, you are ON the proper track.

From the UKDailyMail (a foreign news source that I trust):

Top IRS official will invoke the Fifth Amendment in congressional hearing about tea party targeting program

By David Martosko

|

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs.

The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them.

Lerner’s defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny applied to conservative nonprofit organizations that applied for tax-exempt status beginning in 2010.

This just seems to be getting worse.  The IRS, the AP angle, Benghazi, And I find it very difficult not to smile widely at the news, and at the fact that Mr Obama’s tailfeathers seem to find themselves on fire.

The Obama DOJ is doing more to oppress the freedom of the press than the Nixon IRS every dreamed of, or was thought to have done.  More ass-covering over Benghazi than Nixon’s bombing of Cambodia.

But did these hacks stop with Rosen and Fox News?  Apparently not.  Now a CBS News reporter weighs in, targeted because of Fast & Furious:

Sharyl Attkisson’s computers compromised

Sharyl Attkisson, the Emmy-award winning CBS News investigative reporter, says that her personal and work computers have been compromised and are under investigation.

“I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I’m not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I’ve been patient and methodical about this matter,” Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. “I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public.”

Yes, folks, “way back” at Fast & Furious, the Obama Administration was seeking to stem the information that the American public — American Taxpayers — deserve, as an accounting, of where and how our tax money is spent.  Because, make no mistake: these fucktards in DC do what they do only because we fund them.  We pay their salaries, we pay them to create laws to oppress us, we pay them to obfuscate and lie and prevaricate and deflect.  We pay them to work against the best interests of us: American Taxpayers.  Try to wrap your brain around that concept.

The IRS doing what it does best under Obama: oppressing Conservatives and singling them out for .  It’s a culture that shows a complete lack of moral fiber — mirroring nothing more than Mr Obama himself.  It is a Culture of Intimidation.

Freedom of the Press?  Freedom of American Taxpayers whose blood, sweat and tears are funneled to DC?

Sorry maggots, that just doesn’t happen in this administration.  Harder work and more of it, taxpayers.  Then shut the hell up.

Obama the Imperial and his minions have decreed it so.

Congressman Devin Nunes: the DOJ tapped phones in the House gallery!

US House of RepresentativesFornicalia Congressman Devin Nunes of the 22nd district spoke on the Hugh Hewitt show Wednesday afternoon, and revealed a bombshell: not only did the DOJ tap the phones of reporters, but Nunes indicated the DOJ tapped the telephones of the House of Representatives in the gallery area — where not only reporters use the phones, but various DC politicians.

A portion of the transcript:

HH: The idea that this might be a Geithner-Axelrod plan, and by that, the sort of intimation, Henry II style, will no one rid me of this turbulent priest, will no one rid me of these turbulent Tea Parties, that might have just been a hint, a shift of an eyebrow, a change in the tone of voice. That’s going to take a long time to get to. I don’t trust the Department of Justice on this. Do you, Congressman Nunes?

DN: No, I absolutely do not, especially after this wiretapping incident, essentially, of the House of Representative. I don’t think people are focusing on the right thing when they talk about going after the AP reporters. The big problem that I see is that they actually tapped right where I’m sitting right now, the Cloak Room.

HH: Wait a minute, this is news to me.

DN: The Cloak Room in the House of Representatives.

HH: I have no idea what you’re talking about.

DN: So when they went after the AP reporters, right? Went after all of their phone records, they went after the phone records, including right up here in the House Gallery, right up from where I’m sitting right now. So you have a real separation of powers issue that did this really rise to the level that you would have to get phone records that would, that would most likely include members of Congress, because as you know…

HH: Wow.

DN: …members of Congress talk to the press all the time.

HH: I did not know that, and that is a stunner.

DN: Now that is a separation of powers issue here, Hugh.

Not only were conversations of the reporters tapped, but conversations of DC politicians as well.

Let’s see how this little gem just happens to play out.
