2011 GOP: You’re On Probation

Conservatives have big questions during this, the first month of the new year and the beginning of the 112th Congress.
Texas Fred has a pointed post about actual Conservatism and the GOP, and Always On Watch writes about the Epic Fail Congress of 2010. Maggie posts about the outright corruption of the Obama Administration — you know, the most “transparent” admin in the nation’s history. Angry American wonders: does anyone in DC “get” the US Constitution? And Tom writes about the unmitigated disaster that was the 2010 Obaka Reign.

Hand-in-hand with my Sunday post, Ted Nugent writes in The Washington Times:

Mom and Pop America are hoping and praying for forward momentum from the GOP. They want their country back from the kamikaze death-grip of the weird Democrats. However, if the GOP fails to take bold, decisive action to dramatically reduce the size and power of Fedzilla, the Democrats will return to power in 2012, and, like the Mao Tse Obama curse, we will once again get exactly what we deserve.

Are there true light rays on the horizon?
I can only hope that is true; perhaps some inklings to help us out:
– House Republicans want to tear down ObakaKare;
– John Boehner plans to do so in a few weeks;
– Rep. Darrell Issa plans to audit Obama’s spending;
– Obama in 2010;
There are some Republican plans on the horizon. Still and all, many people wonder — and rightly so — about the spine of the GOP. Will it be rigid or invertebrate?
Time will tell.

  1. GOP on probation…I’d like to put the Dem-Socialists under house arrest, but that’s another story. IMHO, the current coup d’etat by Obama’s minions (FCC, EPA, HHS, DHS) must be stopped in its totalitarian tracks. These Marxist bureaucrats, accountable to no one, are seizing power by decree, bypassing Congress & the people. This is the new strategy of the discredited left, & it’s got to be met head-on and right away.

  2. Public Option.

    The kind of massive giveaway that people are complaining about now with regard to public worker pensions.

    Right.

    Let’s just raid everyone’s wallets once again.

    It’s sure worked out well so far.

  3. I try to remind myself daily that because the GOP is the GOP doesn’t mean there cannot be change. I’m optimistic that they will prove deserving of “probation.”

    Difference between “back then” and now, is that today we have the Tea Party movement, which includes everyone believing in adherence to Constitutional principles of small government, low taxes, fiscal responsibility and free market capitalism.

    We’ve learned how to get the attention of our lawmakers. Now we will learn what that knowledge is worth.

    BZ, thanks so much for the link.
