  1. “Anonymous” without atribution posts what purports to be the result of some kind of poll. Oh, please.

Common sense, a simple charitable standard that repels “Anonymous” like sunlight repels Dracula, informs us that the progressives who have pushed normal people around for so long are about to experience their electoral judgement day November 2010.

If the cramdown fails, they are out. If the cramdown wins and the real and personal damage happens first to our elder relatives and then to the younger victims of newly rationed “health care” the progressives are out.

There is not enough botox on the shelf to supress the stress related facial tics that will flood the airwaves when the progressive finger pointing photo ops, “prayer services” and rationalizations pour out.

It is for all the marbles, as you said.

  2. The elderly and those who have retired are realizing that they do not benefit from any of this: AARP insulted members and are now losing them. When old folks do the math the question becomes: who is more worthy of treatment? When government makes that decision the elderly always lose as they are no longer ‘productive’, while any relatively young illegal alien is ‘productive’. Thus old citizens lose out to illegal aliens… gotta love that math!

Plus Dick Morris points out that if you want to ‘expand’ health care you need more doctors and nurses… and just where those will come from when there is no incentive to get into those jobs… well… that sucks like an electrolux and no one who wants this stuff has explained it.

What it begins to smell like is enforced wealth transfer with the elderly cut off from care so younger americans can get their accumulated wealth. While I don’t think that is an overt reason, it does ‘spread the wealth around’ especially if you can get a massive tax on estates. That will not get the federal government out of its deficit spending, but will make ‘progressives’ feel good that others money is going to the government.

You cannot ‘reform’ a ‘failing’ system by making it larger and more complex: that leads to failure every time it is tried. To ‘reform’ a system it needs to be reduced, made more efficient, and then given incentives to change in directions of efficiency. None of that has shown up in any proposal by either side of the aisle. And if Obama really can ‘find savings’ in Medicare then he should cut that budget FIRST and demonstrate he knows how to find such savings. There is zero trust for Congress on this, and as the President depends on Congress far too much he goes with them.

  3. Then there is Pew Research today asking if Americans would suplport Medicare if it was proposed today… I didn’t think I would see the day when those on the Left would be pining away for the 1950’s… but that was when a ‘public option’ might have flown. Today? Even as of last year this was going nowhere.

  4. He makes up his *facts* and offers NO citation… Your basic Libber moron crying a river and losing any credibility he may have had…

Wait, libber and credibility, that’s the perfect oxymoron, and again we come back to anonymous and MORON…

    Coincidence?? You decide…

  5. Yes, besides ramming government run health care down our throats he’s also got another ulterior motive for it. Unbelievable!!

And anonymous is a little off on his statistics. We also don’t have to lie about whats going on, its called just exposing the truth.

BZ: Sorry, I’ve been so absent lately. I’ve been horrible about blog visiting this summer and have even been fairly sporadic about posting. Its that whole thing about real life interfering with my blogging ;-)).

  6. Tar, feather, rails… pitchforks and torches for those who won’t take the easy way out… D or R I’ve had enough of Congress deciding to represent itself and not the American People.

  7. BZ,
My feeling that I’m done with the whole bunch in congress. I wish that we could have the slightest amount of confidence that these jokers care about their constituents. But, they care about power, plain and simple. Health care isn’t what it’s about, it’s about power. Shameful.

  8. You missed one we can’t relent on BZ. Immigration reform is just as deadly as cap and trade and health care reform. We must defeat them in all three. Every else is repairable, these three are not.
