Overwhelmed

I know, here, deep in my heart, that this really is the greatest, most powerful, most wonderful country on the face of the planet.

But sometimes I just get overwhelmed:

Our politicians are decomposing with corruption on most every level, all the way up to the White House. Our president-elect says he had “no contact” with the corrupt governor. See the above photo and the one in my post under this one.

Our Leftist media will do their best to minimize and/or eliminate any negative issues involving our president-elect.

Undeserving corporations and financial institutions are rewarded for greed and failure: the Big 3 now have their bailout.

Individuals are swayed by this greed and corruption.

Our borders are porous and no government entity is interested in securing them; Americans continue to die resulting from the actions of illegal invaders.

States, counties, cities are bordering on bankruptcy because they refuse to cut spending.

Sometimes I just want to retreat to a cave and pull the rock closed behind me.

  1. BZ,
We all vent every now and then, but I agree. Sometimes when i do research for posts it feels like I am putting my hand inside a can filled with slime.

More slime: I am sure you read after Obama’s innauguration he is going to give a major address in an Islamic Capital. Do you hear- “cumbaya Bin Laden, Cumbaya”…

  2. I tell ya, if this world was my final home, I’d be devastated. I’m sad enough as it is, because I love this country. God has blessed us waaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond our worth, & of course that is what grace is. Yet, God is also holy & judgment is already here. Romans 1:18 says that part of His judgment is to withdraw His hand of mercy little by little & let sinful man have his way. Chilling! (Hosea 4:17)
But, we can repent of our individual sins, & pray that a whole bunch more of us will. I certainly know I am a no-good sinner saved by pure grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. May the Lord bless you all.
