I was wondering what form it would take — where would it start, how would it start, with whom would it start? And I am proud to say that it has started in my area, in the veritable Heart of Darkness, Sacratomato, the capital of Fornicalia.
1. Where Did My Party Go?
What have the bulk of us been bemoaning the past four years? Haven’t we been collectively saying: where has the GOP gone? What has become of actual Conservatives? Why is the GOP dancing predominantly to tunes scored by Republicans In Name Only (RINO) such as Fornicalia Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger? Why is the GOP adrift? And, perhaps most importantly of all, why are the lines between the Demorats and the Republicans blurred more than ever? Why is it now an accepted axiom that JFK, a Democrat in the early 60’s, would be “too Right” for the Republicans of today?
Where have all the Conservatives gone?
I submit: actually, nowhere.
I submit: the RINO money and power whores have overshadowed true Conservatives in the GOP and managed to use said money and power to line their own pockets and continue their own power bases in the House and Senate. When the GOP actually controlled the House and Senate, as well as the White House — what did they do? Essentially nothing. They caved. They appeased. They had access to a national media which they failed to use. They refused to coalesce. They proffered the Gang of 14. They failed, abjectly, to take the Conservative message to the electorate — those who placed them there by way of the hallowed vote — and instead allowed the opposing camp, the Demorats, to continuously define the nature and mission of not only the GOP but true Conservatives as well. And it was all a lie.
Lies not refuted, continuously and stridently, by the GOP allegedly “in power.”
No. Oh no. The GOP was instead preoccupied with combing its hair, checking their members’ stocks online, balancing their checkbooks or perhaps cleaning their fishtanks. Anything but tending to true Conservative values.
The GOP possessed power, were reticent in wielding it, squabbled internally, succumbed to greed and avarice, with the results being that they lost said power and now find themselves wondering: “Gosh, what happened to our donations? Why is our funding down?” A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says: “Hey, why the long face?”
BECAUSE THE GOP ABANDONED ITS CORE PRINCIPLES AND EVERY TRUE CONSERVATIVE KNOWS IT.

Support the Platform Launches Radio ad
Campaign to Take Back the Republican Party
(Sacramento) – “…like you, I’m tired of ‘so-called’ Republicans claiming to support the Republican principles of smaller government, lower taxes and family values just in order to get my vote.” This is how local conservative radio personality, Eric Hogue begins the new radio advertisement for Support the Platform (STP), a local conservative grassroots group fighting to elect candidates who actually support Republican values. (Click Here to Listen) (read more… )
The purpose of this website is to promote those Republicans who actually adhere to Conservative values and, additionally, to ensure that the Conservative message gets out to those who need to know and to the public at large.
The purpose is to hold those persons who claim the GOP accountable to the original and core values of Conservatism and not to the current RINO landscape.
It was started in Sacramento, California.
Can you not create a website, create a demand, touch base with Conservatives — in your area as well — based upon True Conservative Values?
And, moreover, try to hold those persons ACCOUNTABLE?

What have the bulk of us been bemoaning the past four years? Haven’t we been collectively saying: where has the GOP gone?
*****************
Not ALL of us, some still cling to the name Republican almost as if it were their ticket to heaven…
I submit: the RINO money and power whores have overshadowed true Conservatives in the GOP
**************
Ya hit that one on the head…
BECAUSE THE GOP ABANDONED ITS CORE PRINCIPLES AND EVERY TRUE CONSERVATIVE KNOWS IT.
*********************
Are you deliberately trying to offend a few of your readers?? It can happen, some folks have a real problem when ya tell the truth about the Repubs…
The purpose of this website is to promote those Republicans who actually adhere to Conservative values and, additionally, to ensure that the Conservative message gets out to those who need to know and to the public at large.
**************
Great idea in it’s basic form but what do you do when all there is in the GOP is people like Bush and McLame?? I agree we DO need to promote those that are Repub AND Conservative but they are as scarce as hens teeth…
Does this sound appealing to you?
***************
Hell yeah it sounds appealing to ME, but it’s gonna sure piss off a few hard core Bush Bot ass sucking die hard Repubs can do no wrong folks that hang here from time to time…
Oh well, they need to get a clue, might as well be HERE!!
BZ, Hell yes those sound good to me, but they are counter to what our state’s and in essence the most part of our country are believing in.
the real belief structure of the current crop of Presidential candidates:
We believe in the sanctity of human life, Well except if we are discussing this issue in front of folks that believe otherwise. We don’t really want to commit to this cause one way or the other right now we will allow this to be settled in the courts and continue to speak out of both sides of our face.
We believe in the traditional model of monogamous heterosexual marriage, except for the really gay, or really lesbian or in the state of California and Mass.
We believe in the right to keep and bear arms until we can find a way to get them from you
We support legal immigration and oppose illegal immigration, to a degree, and that degree is ZERO, we want every illegal immigrant to vote so we can pander and keep our jobs.
We oppose special privileges, rights, or accommodations based on sexual or behavioral preferences as long as it is popular where ever we are standing at the time.
We support strict limits on eminent domain except when WE or OUR political party needs some land for whatever hot button media pushed issue of the day.
We support school choice programs, charter schools, vouchers, educational savings accounts and the rights of parents to home-school their children without interference from government, unless it takes away from our funding in which case we will be forced to take the issue to court and have home-schoolers brought under control
We support a merit-based pay system for teachers and elimination of union control of our education system, BUT we don’t really want to have to check or test or verify anything, and depending on who is in power at the time we will spin it the other way…
We support streamlining the environmental regulatory system to protect the environment, encourage business profitability, create jobs, and protect property rights as long as any improvements don’t happen in our backyard, or actually cause any problem for anyone or cost us political capitol, we can not be responsible for the decisions made.
TF: But it’s a movement. And it can start on any number of local bases. Because it’s ALL ABOUT the community and locality, here and now. Start a “franchise”. Make your OWN local people accountable!
If the idiots in Fornicalia can do it, the other states can also!
BZ
Robert: but here’s the kick: start it on YOUR OWN LOCAL level. Make your own GOP dudes accountable. I mean, SHIT, with YOUR amazing ability to create websites and blogs, you should be able to create a blog or site that demands ANSWERS to national questions involving the GOP!
Link to that support blog! Create your own! LOCALITY is where it all begins!!
BZ
We want to MAKE A CHANGE??
HERE is our opportunity!!
BZ
BZ,
On behalf of STP, thank you for the plug.
You are 100% correct! We did not start Support the Platform to simply be a website. We wanted to start a movement that would motivate those in the Republican Wing of the Republican Party across the country to step up and put their time, effort and money to work for Republican candidates who actually support Republican values.
Our plan is simple:
1. Start at home: Take back control of your local party organizations. Then recruit like mined, committed people to help raise money and register voters.
2. Identify Candidates: Look for people who share our values and have a calling to serve in civil government. Then we must prepare and equip them to be effective candidates and public servants.
3. Hold Them Accountable: Have candidates sign a pledge to support our values, as outlined in our party platform. Then monitor what they do while they are in office; what they say, how they vote and who they support. We should reward those who stay committed by promoting them to higher office and punish those who do not keep their word by voting them out of office.
4. Pass on the Word: Make sure other real republicans know that they are not alone; that there are those who believe what they believe and are willing to fight. But most importantly, they need to know that we need them to get involved.
STP is not a Top down project. It is a bottom up movement… One that needs people like you!
Thank you again for the plug. Please visit our website often.

Support The Platform, Chairman
The basic divide you are seeing stretches further than just the Republican Party. And as the Traditionalist Conservatives in the Republican Party find their party moving from them, perhaps it is time to see who else has been left by their party for almost the exact, same viewpoints. There are some differences, yes, but I don’t see them as insurmountable. But that requires having a party of those who you *want* to be with, not those that you are looking to *reach out* to appease… a bit of reconciling on both sides and you can get something new and stronger, than either party is right now.
Here’s the thing B.Z. and I would invite the previous comment maker to respond:
Supporting the platform is all fine and good, but does that mean we will support the Republican candidate this time? I mean I can not offer support for those things mentioned and then turn around a support a candidate that doesn’t represent these values… that would be severe hypocrisy. McCain might have one or 2 of those listed, but the rest he is sorely lacking.
Craig: thanks most kindly for dropping by. The work you’re doing is incredibly important and indicates that, clearly, politics starts and ends at home. We have to begin somewhere and, in my opinion, this is a great place and way to start.
BZ
It’s a start. I just hope we don’t let Hitlery and Obamination destroy our country before we can take it back. (Those two could feasibly do irreparable harm to this country if they get power. If either of those two win it will take a civil war to put our country back on track.)
