Max McGee

I am a Packer Backer of the Nth degree. MY team was the Packer Dominion under Coach Vince Lombardi.
Because, after all, I watched them on TV. And I really liked their uniform colors.

Today, the team holds the record for league championships with twelve, including nine NFL Championships prior to the Super Bowl era and three additional titles in 1966, 1967, 1996 after which they won Super Bowls I, II and XXXI by defeating the American Football League/American Football Conference champions. The team has a fierce, long-standing rivalry with the Chicago Bears, whom they have played in over 170 games.[2]

The Packers are currently the only non-profit, community owned major league professional sports team in the United States.

Classic Packers? How about:
Bart Starr;

Ray Nitschke;

Jerry Kramer;

Paul Hornung;

Max McGee;

Jim Taylor;

Carroll Dale;

Gale Gillingham;

Henry Jordan;

Willie Wood;

Herb Adderly;

Dave Robinson;

Forrest Gregg;
On Sunday, Max McGee died:

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) – Former Green Bay Packers receiver Max McGee died late Saturday afternoon following a tragic accident at his home in Deephaven, Minnesota.

KARE 11-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul reported that McGee was blowing leaves off his roof when he fell to his death.

The police were called to his home around 5:20 p.m. (ct) on a report of an unconscious man who had fallen.

Clearly, he and Ray are cavorting about in Heaven.
