  1. And to that I say Amen!!! One of my first posts on my blog was my disappointment in how little September 11th was remembered on the anniversary this year. I love Darryl Worley’s song, “Have You Forgotten?” I think a lot of people have.

  3. LMC: you are correct; too many people have. To this day I still have a massive folder of 9-11 photos I saved from the net because I inherently knew this was a pivotal point in our history. Some of the photos I saved I’ve never seen again, reprinted anywhere.

    Gyrobo: unfortunately, your metallic self, you are oh-so-correct.

    It is NOT a matter of IF but WHEN we will pay more dues for having abandoned these souls in our quest for political correctness, parity, perception and style over substance.

    You and I, and most of the Usual Suspects, come from lives based in logic, balance and common sense.

    The greater bulk of the populace have no idea from whence they came, much less where they are now.

    Ignorance now isn’t simply bliss; it is a guarantor of death.

    Delivered by those who have no reference to our Western reality.

    It sounds like a lockstep, puerile phrasing; that would be wrong.

    We must never, never, NEVER forget.

    Never.

    It is that simple.

  6. Damn the MSM for banning these pictures. Damn them straight to hell. You bet they invoke emotion; do you suppose they are afraid that if Americans start collectively believing in something again that all they have worked for is lost?

    Guess what, it’s already gone. They no longer have America in thrall and it frightens them. Hollywood, the New York Times, and all the rest – they lose.

    My eyes are open.

  7. I thank God every day that we had George W Bush in the White House on 9-11-01 instead of Al Gore. We had to have someone that was willing, and able mentally to see what needed be done to take the fight to the enemy.

    America was attacked on the mainland in the heart of our largest city and more people died than at Pearl Harbor in ’41. I cannot imagine the MSM reacting back then the way it has today and still being in business. The officers of the papers and radio stations of that day would have been tried for treason. We’re at war and reminders such as yours on this day need to be ever in front of us.

  8. Fish & Robosquirrel: if for no other reason than to keep myself motivated, thoughtful and mindful of why we fight and why we should honor our fighting men and women, I’ll likely be making similar posts to this further in 2006.

    I know for a fact there have been further terrorist attempts on our hallowed domestic soil, and we have defeated them each time.

    To date.

    But we continue to need the utilization of the tools GWB has so properly wielded, and that so many blind persons seem to want to extinguish and remove from our toolkit.

    We can DO THE JOB; that is a given. We have the power, the resources, the talent, the equipment, the funding.

    But do we have the WILL?

    Here is why I am so adamant on protecting our soil:

    We have to win and triumph over terrorists and their cells EVERY time; they only have to win ONCE.

    What part of that does a good portion of America and its politicians not understand?

  9. Thank GOD there are still people like the ones I’ve met here since I launched my Blog..

    BloZep, Robo, ABF, Gayle, Pat, all of em, too many to name, great Americans and great Patriots…

    I have NEVER lost faith but I have wondered at times, if I was the only one left…

    There are more patriots in this country than the monosyllabic left can begin to silence…

    The traitorous left is dead set on destroying AMERICA… My America, OUR America…

    And we, as Conservatives, and TRUE Americans can’t let the travesty that was 9-11 go unpunished…

    The actual players in the 9-11 attack are dead but their supporters are NOT and will again hit America, at their 1st opportunity, and again attempt to knock America to her knees…

    For some of us, these memories of 9-11 are indelibly etched into our minds, to never be erased… For others, the *appeasers*, there was only a brief fleeting memory and now, it’s as if it never happened, and just because it’s not happened since, it’s apparent to them that it was a *one time only* thing and surely we MUST forgive the aggressor…

    To this I say, BULL SHIT..

    When the POTUS calls for MY support and trust, I give him that support and trust, I don’t try and blame him for every malady in the world…

    This is a frightening time in world history, and this is also a time for REAL Patriots to make their stand against Islamic oppression… Yes, THAT Islam, the *Religion of Peace* Islam… Mr. Bush IS making that stand, and the USA is safer for it…

    A *Day of Infamy*?? 9-11 was the *Day of Infamy* for OUR generation, and about 50% of the residents of this nation are NOT answering the call…

    Think about a nuke??? What about Iran? We need to go in and get them, and go in to Syria as well. WE ARE NOT DONE YET.

    Showing these pictures on t.v. is a slap in their anti-war, islam loving faces. That is why they won’t show it, it would make them ‘feel bad’.

    Oh yeh, I remember seeing either that guy jumping out of the building or someone else falling out. It was on National t.v. I remember the whole thing. I was hysterical and couldn’t believe what I was seeing.. All the death. But I never saw that again. Not even a picture.

  12. Rebecca: and you will never see the photos of US citizens falling from the sky like rocks from the flaming WTC again, from the DEM.

    Which is why I purchased a number of books compiled after 9-11 so that I can look upon them from time to time and remember: these were MY people. From MY country.
