Can’t say “Christmas” at NY’s PS 169

Principal-bans-Christmas-etc.-1024x536Right after new PS 169 Principal Eujin Jaela Kim came to town.

From the NYPost.com:

School principal bans Santa, Thanksgiving and Pledge of Allegiance

by Susan Edelman

Santa Claus is banned. The Pledge of Allegiance is no longer recited. “Harvest festival” has replaced Thanksgiving, and “winter celebrations” substitute for Christmas parties.

New principal Eujin Jaela Kim has given PS 169 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, a politically correct scrub-down, to the dismay of teachers and parents.

“We definitely can’t say Christmas, nothing with Christmas on it, nothing with Santa,” PTA president Mimi Ferrer said administrators told her. “No angels. We can’t even have a star because it can represent a religious system, like the Star of David.”

But here’s the caveat.

Whereas before there was none, now there is the beginning of some actual pushback to political correctness.

Like it or not, I attribute that to one man: Donald Trump.

Absent the recent conduct of Mr Trump in response to the manner in which he is conducting his campaign and the focus he has brought to particular issues, I suspect the backlash to such politically correct behavior would not be building, much less being named.

And yes, there is pushback to Principal Kim’s position.

For that, I thank Donald Trump.

  1. I wonder if the kids get to sing Jingle Bombs and ally ackabar to the world during the school winter plays?
    Frackan libturds.

    • There was also talk that she wasn’t an actual citizen. Don’t know if that is true. But finally: there is a semblance of PUSHBACK as is NEEDED for idiocy like this.
