Newly-appointed Chicago Police Superintendent, Gerry McCarthy, a 25-year veteran of NYPD and newest Top Cop for the Windy City (installed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel on May 2nd), spoke to parishioners at St Sabina Church on Throop Street earlier in June.
I must now to address the one who says, ‘don’t hold me responsible for what my ancestors did.’ But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your ancestors did! And unless you are ready to give up the benefits — Throw away your 401 fund! [sic] Throw away your trust fund! Throw away all the money that been put away in the company you walked into ’cause your daddy and your granddaddy and your great grandaddy —(screaming at the top of his lungs)Unless you are willing to give up the benefits, then you must be responsible for what was done in your generation! ‘Cause you are the beneficiary of this insurance policy![garbled] expose white entitlement. And supremacy, wherever it raises its head. I said before, I really don’t want to make this political, because you know I’m really very unpolitical. When Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really don’t believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always thought, ‘this is mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white, and this is mine. I just gotta get up and step into the plate.’Then out of nowhere, ‘I’m Barack Obama!’ Imitating Hillary’s response, screaming at the top of his lungs again, he continues, ‘Ah, damn! Where did you come from? I’m white! I’m entitled! There’s a black man stealing my show!’ (mocks crying)She wasn’t the only one crying, there was a whole lot of white people crying! I’m sorry. I don’t want in any more trouble. The live-streaming just went out again.”

So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism.”“Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children,” he said.“The NRA does not like me, and I’m okay with that. We’ve got to get the gun debate back to center, and it’s got to come with the recognition of who’s paying the price for the gun manufacturers being rich and living in gated communities,” McCarthy said.McCarthy illustrated his point by recalling a crime scene investigation while he was a police official in Newark, New Jersey where five children were shot, two of whom were killed. McCarthy said when he got home, he turned on his television to unwind and found an episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” showing.“She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn’t she at the crime scene with me?”
“…the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centres across this country, that are killing our black and brown children”
What about “our” innocent white children killed in the crossfire? Do they merit no acknowledgement?
Here in Germany the Jewish community, which also suffered a form of “Government sponsored racism,” is slowly building itself back. One doesn’t see anyone forced to justify or make any excuses for them killing in the streets with automatic weapons, promote violent misogyny and homophobia in their music, wear their trousers down to their ankles and engage in various other anti-social behaviour. I am very sympathetic to the black community’s history of abuse and persecution. But I am equally convinced by people like Bill Cosby who declare that the solution lies in their leadership, families and communities and not in an outdated persecution complex 40 years after the initiation of the Great Society.
Well said.
Chicago is a sewer and I will never visit there.
I hate it when a police officer pimps himself out like this.
No further comment is necessary to understand where my heart and soul is.
For a different view of Chicago may I recommend http://shavedlongcock.blogspot.com/
Keir: first, thank you kindly for visiting, and thanks for taking the time to comment! And no, succinctly, the Caucasoid children don’t count. You, however, are precisely correct about the issue being predominantly one of leadership and — mostly — the LACK thereof and, simultaneously, many levels of our society not only excusing poor or dangerous behavior but, further, essentially demanding it. Poverty and Racism happen to MAKE MONEY for the melanin pimps who rely on this communal, programmatic and legal cash influx. If you stop creating more and deeper victims, then you do away with the NEED for Poverty and Race Pimps.
Mr Chuck: I’d say so. The Super has sold himself out as just another victimizational enabler. He too has bought into the program of Blacks As Losers, Victims and Babies.
WSF: I’ll certainly go there, and thanking you.
BZ
WSF: interesting site. Where the hell does that guy get the time to make such frequent posting??
BZ
BZ My guess is he has a team.
Great post BZ, thanks for the details!
NFO: thanks. The pandering and so-called “minority” ass-kissing is staggering. Infantilism all over again.
